huston... i have a problem...
i unlocked my k-jam with the traditional mode, but i make wm6 (nbd 7.3) with the ipl/spl 1.01 & radio 1.12.10. now i upgrade the radio to t-mobile 2.19.11. the upgrading it's ok, i read in the banner, but now my device is in loop with "IPL 1.01", then in the next line "SPL 1.01", the a blank line (where's the radio) and in last line "OS 4.0.0.0". naturally the connection with the pc is out and i can't upgrading a new radio rom. what can i do? anyone have a solution?
p.s. excuse my bad english.
ok... i find the "BootLoader Mode" (soft reset, when the screen goes blank hold the camera button until a multi colored screen comes up).... connected USB now going the official rom i-mate... my answer is:
why this loop. where i failed. the error is make wm6 with the ipl/spl 1.xx and radio 1.12.10? and in this case now i can upgrading to wm6 then upgrade the radio and the ipl/spl with this official rom?

Don't think it will be the radio rom. Sounds like a bad flash. Did it freeze at the IPL/SPL screen?
What did you use to flash the rom? Did you read through the flashing tutorials? Ie, do you know if you have a G3 or a G4 phone? You said it is unlocked, is it SIM unlocked and CID unlocked?
edit: Just read your other thread about radio rom as well... There is someone already pointing out that your IPL/SPL are too old for WM6...
the procedure has been exceeded and all seemed to be returned normal... but when refreshing new ipl/spl (2,08), while the panel said "congratulations, the upgrading was be executed..." the telephone has been extinguished and now it was dead... rip
Hi, Ive looked around the forum and cannot find a solution to my problem. Ok, step by step here is what I did: I used the button 1.05 custom ROM, this was installed successfully. Then I used the definitive guide to unlocking the G3 wizard using the lokiwiz tool and this was successful as far as I know. I then upgraded to the t - mobile 3.08 ROM as this was recommended before upgrading to a WM6 ROM. This is where the problems began. I tried to flash Faria's WM6 crossbow rom and partway through the flash it hung and got stuck in bootloader mode. I read around the forums and tried to downgrade back to button 1.05, the tmobile 3.08 rom, and also the cingular 2.25 rom. The furthest I got was about 49% on the progress when my phone returns to the bootloader screen. My phone always seems to do one of two things: I either get a communication error "with my pc" which starts the recovery process(which never actually works) or I get error 274 which says that I am no longer connected to my pc (even though it still says "usb" on the screen of my pocket pc. I know that my battery will soon run out and I will have to buy a new one to resume trying to get my phone to work again. I ve also uninstalled active sync, re- down loaded and installed it, rebooted my computer (as was suggested) and this didnt work. Some one please help me as I am pretty new at this and cannot find this exact issue on the forums. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!

You have misread and misunderstood the definitive guide.You are confusing T-mobile 2.26 and IPL/SPL 3.08,its T-mobile 2.26 and not T-mobile 3.08. T-mobile 2.26 is a Rom ,an OS (Operating System) and IPL/SPL 3.08 are the latest upgrades to Bootloaders and not a rom.
Now,after downgrading with Button's Rom 1.05,your phone's IPL/SPL must have been 1.05,then you applied lokiwiz02b to SIM/CID unlock the phone,but ipl/spl must have remained 1.05 as you had Button's Rom 1.05 installed on your phone.
In order to upgrade to wm6,its required to have IPL/SPL 2.xx,so you were supposed to flash T-mobile 2.26 to get your IPL/SPL 2.26,but,instead of flashing t-mobile 2.26,you flashed IPL/SPL 3.08,so you have now IPL/SPL 3.08,correct ?
IPL/SPL 3.08 is an option to upgrade your IPL/SPL (Bootloaders) but upgrading to T-mobile 2.26 is recommended,so that you get IPL/SPL 2.xx to upgrade to wm6.There's your mistake,got my point ?
So,now try to downgrade to ipl/spl 2.xx or 1.xx,to do so,download the official carrier's rom of your phone from it's website and flash to get back to its original default status.
After that reread the guide correctly and follow the method.

OK i downloaded the official cingular ROM 2.25 and attempted to flash it. I got about 76% done and got a communication error. I've tried to do it several times since then with no luck. However, my ipl and spl did change to 2.25. What should I do now?

ok,get into Bootloaders (tricolor screen)check usb appear at the bottom of bootloaders,,try to get down to ipl/spl 1.xx,first try with button's rom,if it works,fine,otherwise try xda_minis_launch rom or wizard_love rom,if any of them installs,download WST tool and check the status of your phone by hitting the 'CID Action' button.It'll verify if your phone is locked or unlocked,ok,if unlocked then flash t_mobile 2.26 and if locked,run the lokiwiz02b again to unlock.
while flashing,turn off any antivirus,firewall and don't surf the net,check email or play any games.Leave the phone and pc alone.Must have a fully charged battery.Delete partnership with activesync and uncheck 'Allow usb connection' in the activesync,it helps sometimes.Try with a different usb cable or plugin usb cable in other usb input slot of the pc.I do hope,it might do the trick and work out fine.

ok so after reading many many times and attempting to flash to 1.05 which worked but i was never able to upgrade. I used the shell tool to try and get XM6R5 to flash and it locked up. since then the phone now starts to boot but locks in on the button rom (from button with love) and shows
IPL 1.05
SPL 3.08
GSM 01.12.10
OS 1.5.4.2
After sitting on this bootup screen for over a minute the picture looks shaky??
So i attempted to reflash to 1.05 again and it goes all the way to 100% and tells me successful and reboots then locks up! So i try to flash back to Tmobile rom and i get a 296 error: ERROR {296} : UPGRADE ONLY This NBF file cannot be used for your PDA phone. please get new NBF file.
The usb and active sync wont work either.
I even held the comm and voice button and pushed reset and tried to format and it says format failed.
Please help, i now wish i never attempted to flash to WM6. This is a brand new replacement MDA and i figured i would attempt to upgrade it before i did anything and now it seems locked!

First,how did you get SPL 3,08 ?,did you flash the ipl/spl 3.08 before flashing the button's rom 1,05 ?
Secondly,There was no need to upgrade with 'Shell Tool',after downgrading to ipl/spl 1.xx by button's rom,you shud have used 'lokiwiz02b' to SIM/CID unlock the phone and upgraded to any wm6 Rom.Try to get the phone in bootloaders mode(Tricolor screen),if it gets there,download the official carrier's rom of your phone from its website and flash it in the bootloaders to bring the phone back to its default status.After that downgrade with button's rom 1.05 and SIM/CID unlock your phone with 'lokiwiz02b' and upgrade to wm6.

I flashed to 1.05, then tried tmobile 2.26, once i did that i upgraded to 3.08 which made ipl/spl 3.08. I tried several times to reflash to 1.05 again and the ipl changed back but the spl stays at 3.08. I have flashed several times to 1.05 and the spl will not change from 3.08(how can i make it do this) So now that the 3.08 is stuck there the original tmobile rom wont install and it gives me a 296 error when attempted.
I have taken the battery out and gotten into bootloader on reboot however, when i flash to 1.05 or tmobile and it goes thru the cycle... once it gets to 100%(I also get the pop up that says upgrade successful and hit ok) the phone reboots and then gets stuck again in the splash screen?!?! then the screen gets shaky looking as well?

hmmmm, thats the mistake.After downgrading to ipl/spl 1.xx after flashing button's 1.05,you shud have first sim/cid unlocked the phone and then flashed t-mobile 2,26 to upgrade to ipl/spl 2.xx.Then shud have upgraded to any wm6 roms,upgrading to ipl/spl 3.08 is not at all necessary for upgrading to wm6,but an option,where as,ipl/spl 2.xx is only required for wm6 upgrading.
You,instead,of getting your phone sim/cid unlocked,flashed and upgraded to 3.08,but to sim/cid unlock,its required to have 1.xx,now it won't downgrade to 1.xx with button's rom.Its very commonly observed that after upgrading to 3.08 without getting the phone sim/cid unlocked,it becomes a pain in a** to downgrade to 1.xx and unlock.Now its a catch22 situation,where it doesn't downgrade to 1.xx for unlocking and nor accepting any other rom flash,its stuck at splash screen at 3.08.
Now,the only solution is to get the phone back to its default status.Try to flash either official stock rom,button's rom,if button's don't work,try the xda_minis_launch rom or the wizard_love_rom in the bootloaders mode.You got to keep your patience and it might take several flashes with either of these roms to get through.

ok heres the scoop...
ive tried the tmobile official rom 2.26 upgrade and the xda_minis_launch rom and the wizard_love_rom (Love rom seems to be in a foreign language and gives a error 300) in the bootloaders mode and every time it will refuse to read the usb and gives me either a 264 or 296 error with these roms. Not sure why the phone says its not connected for the above roms but will read buttons rom still saying its not connected
The only rom that seems to read for whatever reason is buttons rom and i have flashed it 5 times at least now and always tells me it works but then gets stuck in bootloader with a glass of beer and the same ipl-1.01 spl- 3.08 gsm- 01.12.10 os- 1.5.4.2
so i dont know what to do!! there must be someway to get this thing to work!
Yes ! I understand it sometimes becomes very annoying and frustrating,but you got to keep cool. believe me and I can assure you there's nothing wrong with your phone as long as it can get into bootloaders.It's just that the bootloaders have got corrupted and stuck on spl 3.08,its only spl 3.08 which is creating all the problem,untill and unless it doesn't downgrade to either spl 1.xx or 2.xx,it'll not be possible to flash any other rom.now the only way to get the bootloaders corrected is to flash any official rom to bring both ipl/spl to 1.xx or 2.xx.
ok,when you get the phone in bootloaders and connect the phone via usb,does a small usb appear at the bottom of the bootloaders screen ? forget about the activesync for a while,cuz activesync doesn't work or get connected in bootloaders.The only way to verify if the phone has established connectivity with the pc is to verify if usb appears in the bootloaders.Rather I'll suggest you to delete the partnership with pc in activesync and uncheck the option 'allow usb connections' in the Async.If its verified that usb appears and has connection in bootloaders then you are good to go and run RUU,but if there's a problem and it doesn't show in bootloaders then your usb is not establishing proper connection.In that case,either the usb cable is faulty or the mini usb port of the phone is damaged.Check and verify this.
Secondly,lets try to flash the Rom with replaced RUU like 'RomUpdateUtility_wizard_Noid', or 'newromupdateutility_wizard_noid' or 'Ruu_Mun',you can find them in the forum.Either copy and replace it with ruu in the rom or copy and past 'nk_nbf' in the rom to the folder of these RUU and try to flash in the bootloaders,but first confirm the connectivity of the phone via usb as explained above. Hope this might do the trick,lets hope so!!!

ok,was your phone CID unlocked when you did back up with sdcard using 'Mtty' program ? cuz its not possible to go through recovering back by this method if the phone is CID locked,the rom will not back up to sdcard,it'll give error.Here his phone is still Cid locked and he has upgraded to 3.08,now it won't let him downgrade to ipl/spl 1.xx to use lokiwiz02b and SIM/CID unlock his phone.

ok here is the problem im having now. ANY ROM i attempt to flash to in bootloaders mode or 3 colored screen WILL NOT WORK! it gives me a 264 error on any of them besides button rom. I have tried several times to upload tmobiles official rom and it tells me i have to get a newer nbf file!
I pop the battery out and wait a few seconds and then hold camera button and power, (now in bootloaders) i then plug in usb and the USB letters do show on the bottom left hand side. I also disabled allow usb connection on active sync.
i wish i understood why no other rom except buttons will flash? even muns ruu wont work, it gives me a 300 error invalid update tool!

8. it should say SPL-1.01
9. follow onscreen instruction for the update
10.enter in windows and delete BREEIMG.NBH from card

13.be happy now you have hardspl and you can flash any rom (without sspl)

do i need to update anything before i try your WM6.1? which is the latest versions (IPL,Radio) you would recommend and can you please provide the links too. also, will the forward facing video call camera work with your ROM?
from wiki, it looks like there is the Radio:1.38.00.10 Protocol:32.71.7020.12H RIL:2.002 SPL:1.10.0000 ROM, and other older Radio ROMs but with newer SPL. so in order to update my radio, do i need to flash the entire ROM into my phone, or can i just use a Radio ONLY rom updater?
Please bear with me, because i really do not want to brick my phone.

My original SPL version was 2.05 and after I ran SPL file I had IPL=SPL by des and SPL=7......
I have also applied other methods and my phones seems to be application unlock. But when I try to upload a new rom the phone goes to blank. I could never prevent this condition.
Is there a way to update Imate SPJas to Win 6.1? Which ROM works?

In three color screen I see:

Hi, I had the same issue. Try pressing camera & off' buttons AND Enter all together.
rom update
1- I have updated the current rom to origininal config by manufacturer's original ROM.
2- I applied HTC unlock tool..
3- My first attempt to update rom gave #262 error. Second attempt was succesful.

there are 5 keys unless you have the official security configuration manager
that is setting the other keys for you

what is your current cid?
i have a dopod 595 device, the breeze with forward facing video call camera, so it's a breeze 160. it's a Qtek_Z12 device and the region is WWE.
before you posted the new herm radio, i successfully updated to your beta WM6.1 using your unlocking SSPL guide. i never upgraded the SPL though. the original phone's IPL and SPL are IPL0.9 and SPL2.05.
so what i did was first to upgrade to the latest WWE 1.38 using your unlocking/SSPL guide, then upgrade to your WM6.1 beta. everything worked fine. i do notice that only the IPL has been upgraded, and the SPL remains 2.05. so i ignored it.
it was when you posted the new herm radio upgrade i then decided to update my SPL as well. so as per your instructions in the unlocking guide, i first unlock the phone (WM6.1), perform the SPL1.09 update. it was successful. phone booted up just fine. then i run the official WWE 1.38 (the same one i used before upgrading to WM6.1 beta). and this time i did not run the DES soft SPL ( i must have forgotten and thought the phone is unlocked anyway). the RUU started, and the flashing failed at 1% giving an invalid vendor ID error message (as expected because my phone is not superCID and i forgot to run DES SSPL). after this little incident, i canot boot my phone anymore.
so i tried to recover it using various methods. and i successfully flashed back the original WM5 WWE dopod 595 ROM by using the latest RUU from 1.38 with old WWE WM5 nbh. the flashing completed 100%, the phone reboots, and still stuck at the second boot screen. IPL has been downgraded to 0.9 and SPL remains 1.09.

you can not do anithing
your ipl does not know how to load spl1.09
send the phone to repair and flash hardspl when it returns
there are many people with your problem
till now we have found not found any solution

i think, SPL version is very confusing. 2.05 is older than 1.09?
Would be good to have compatibility list between SPL and IPL versions to not mess and brick device.
I guess i was lucky, because i updated my breeze to resently posted HardSPL (thanks to jerpelea) and device still alive.
I found that RUUUpdateUt.exe i've used for DES SoftSPL is not working with HardSPL anymore. It cost me a bunch of my nerves (no body mentioned this fact!). Again luckily i found that stock RUU upgrade utility works fine with HardSPL (i just removed all dialogs except first for convenient use).
Well, at last, now i don't need to flash stock firmware (with radio ROM update which is extremely dangerous) every time when one of my cooked ROM refuses to work normally.
Needed
1.an BREEZE device[The phone must be able to enter bootloader (3color screen)]

how do i put breeze into KITL Mode? is it the camera+power button tri-colour thing?

maybe i'm talking ****, but i think too enter kitl mode you must have a running windows mobile...
just find the kitl mode "reset" on hermes its "now for your Hermes: hold the Comm button and soft reset and wait for the KITL dialog to appear, now is the CRITICALLY missed step; you need to press the small OK button on the LEFT of the device to activate USB KITL. "

now you have an older ipl that does not know how to load the new SPL
so i tried to recover it using various methods. and i successfully flashed back the original WM5 WWE dopod 595 ROM by using the latest RUU from 1.38 with old WWE WM5 nbh. the flashing completed 100%, the phone reboots, and still stuck at the second boot screen. IPL has been downgraded to 0.9 and SPL remains 1.09.

yes. i tried hard reset (two soft keys+power then press 0) many times. doesnt work. tried the mtty to format the phone, doesnt work.

ok, firstly, when i loaded up the SPL1.09, the phone boots up fine. it only got stuck when the flashing to WWE1.38 failed. at this point i still have the new IPL.
the old IPL was flashed in during the recovery attempt when i tried to flash the old official WM5 ROM back hoping it would also downgrade the SPL, but it didnt. it only downgrade the IPL to 0.9. SPL remains 1.09

im my guide i wrote to use sspl
if you use sspl you finish the 1.34 upgrade from spl 1.09 and is everything fine
if not no
from here you had spl A07 so you could flash ONLY original htc Rus rom
you flashed an older ipl instead
an older ipl that does not load correctly the new spl
the spl can not be downgraded from 1.10(1.09) to 2.05
here is the problem
and as long as you dont have an rom with your CID od HARDSPL the phone can only be flashed using my hermes guide if we find the buton combination on breeze

your problem is that ipl 0.9 cant load spl 1.09
the memory load address differs and it cant load it correctly
i havent found an solution
you need an valid spl loaded to flash
you can try all the original roms (don't edit them)
and see if any one of them tries to push ipl and spl before actualy flashing
also try the official 1.09 spl flash

what happened? I was upgrading to futureshock ver. 4 and during phone'd swiched off ... I was looking for original ROM posted here in Breeze forum, but I didn't find it ... after read this 1st post I recoginze, that Czech ROM official is RUS .. that news for me (of course good ).
KITL Hermes
I had ROM 6.1 from Futureshock...still problem with radio (my phone couldn´t accessble but signal icon shows good signal, radio version 1.38.0000), so I decided flash some original ROM. Aftet that my booting stuck on HTC logo or Windows Mobile logo. So I can´t use normal way to flashing. Only from SD card or first turn on phone to boot loader mode and than attach usb cable and start flashing. From SD card (where is renamed ROM BREEIMG.NBH) after enter into bootloader mode start loading and than just turn to trhreecolour menu where is BREE100 - IPL-0.90 and BREE100-1.10.0000 and doesn´t want continue. If I flash ROM via USB cable (first go to threecolour mode, than attach cable) than run ROMUpdateUtility.exe and flash process is being started but always die on 2%, than autoreboot and again stuck on HTC logo.
I tried hard reset, I tried lot of ROM versions HTCRUS, HTCEUR, QTEKEUR, FUTURESHOCK but still same problem during flash ROM stop on 2%...
I tried KITL Hermes unbrick method but same problems like had others on this forum, I don´t know how to turn my MTeoR to KITL debug mode because device is different like Hermes so key combination doesn´t matches with Breeze. MTTY - info 2 command show me CID: waiting interpreter failed...
Any ideas how to back life to my MTeoR?
Can I use application like MTTY? Could me help this program?
