The latest two new official WM6 roms have different radios in them, one being 1.46.30.11 the other being 1.46.0.11
Whats the slight difference between them?

Hey Everyone,
There are a lot of great roms floating around out there as well as newer cabs. I wanted to know if anyone has take the last official release from HTC for the ATT Tilt / Kaiser and tried applying some of the newer cabs. Did you notice any big improvements?

What improvements would you expect apart from adding whatever software is installed ?
Cooked ROMs are able to cut the guts out of a bloated stock rom and maybe run slightly quicker, but simply applying the cabs to a stock rom wont make any "big improvements" .. just adding software.
If you were talking about the D3D drivers, that another issue entirely.

What about the D3D drivers? Are there any changes in the last official ROM update that affect the D3D drivers?
I'm ready to Flash my 750 for T-Mo usa but I've read a lot of different opinions here. I'd rather not flash and reflash a million times to get it right. If anyone has played around with these roms and radios, which one would you recommend for T-Mo usa? (would rather avoid AT&T stuff)
So far I gather:
ROM: Not sure which one, lite or full, cooked or not
Radio: 1.54.30.10 (even though some say it's for AT&T)
C'mon guys, someone make a suggestion... I'm sure others can benefit from this as well.
I can not recommend the radio
but I tried both - the lite and the normal versions, and the normal is better and stable.

ok thanks. What about the radio? which is better?
I have tried official roms from Hongkong,Taiwan, and other south east Asia, all of them had same problem, they are not compatible with lots of third party softwares.
"We’re sorry A problem has occurred with services.exe",this is the trade mark issue using official roms.
I feel official roms especially dont go well with SPB and Ageye softwares.
Just now I tried European official rom:
http://rapidshare.com/files/2924648...01.0_Radio_Rhodium_4.49.25.17_Signed_Ship.exe
After almost one hour downloading, and half hour playing with it,it threw me
"We’re sorry A problem has occurred with services.exe" again after I installed some must-have softwares, and after soft reset several times, still it freezed up after I installed SPB Mobile Shell.
WHAT IS EXACTLY WRONG WITH OFFICIAL ROMS? ARE THEY NOT SUPPOSE TO BE MOST STABLE AND BUG FREE?
And why cooked roms by our beloved chefs dont have this problem?Do these chefs add some magic salt into the roms that makes them friendly to third party applications?
Believe me,never use offical roms unless you dont use third party applications.
I thought only official roms from Asia sucked, tonight I losed my temper to say that it is a fact that all of them suck!
Without chefs in Xda,guys we are going to have a miserable life for sure.
P.S: My TP2 is HTC branded, smuggled from Taiwan.
If you're using the "HTC" branded ROMs only, not the Tmobile or att etc. You're basically getting the same ROM with just different language/keyboards. Try the new Tmobile 6.5 rom. Or a carrier specific ROM. See if that helps.
With the Tmobile stock wm6.5 rom, no such problem.

my tp2 is from Taiwan,HTc branded, tried Taiwan official rom, sucked like hell.
What's the difference between the 235xx and 28xxx builds? How come new releases of each build are co-released, are they being co-developed? And how come 28xxx=6.5.3 if the smaller number 235xx=6.5.5?
They are just different, parallel developments, of 6.5.x. The smaller or bigger number doesn't mean very much, as far as I'm aware, just that they're different teams.
Seems like the main work is going on 23xxx now, judging from the updates that have been coming through.
Those who are more in the know might be able to correct me or comment further, though.
The different build numbers are due to the different COM branches, which are developed independently. I know that some of the branches are for different manufacturers, and some are for different features (like the 6.5.x builds vs. traditional 6.5 builds). There's a post here which goes into a bit more detail with the different COM branches.
Hi Guys,
First of all, I've searched ardently on any thread that might be related to mine, but I'm finding it none zilch nada. So if any of you have found some similar threads as this thread, then feel free to PM the Mod so that they may close it appropriately.
Anyway.. Here's my issue. Seeing on Samfirmware website, I saw two versions of the firmwares available today. One in Asia(DXLR2) and one for Europe (Open Germany - DXLRG)
Now my question is, I know the firmwares are carrier or region specifics but we can always try one over the other right?
So here goes, Which do you think among the two firmwares (DXLRG vs DXLR2) have more positives over the other? or anyone can stand up and say that DXLR2 is much better in battery management than DXLRG??
To those using DXLRG now, would you mind listing all the benefits/advantages you can share in using that Rom over DLXR2? Also to those using DXLR2 woud you mind doing the same? You can also list down bugs you have discovered using the Rom you chose.
Let's start comparing which one suits best.
I'm in quandary which one I should try to flash it to.
Thanks y'all, much appreciated it.
It probably is just two different names given to the same kernel/firmware.
Build date might be different but it is built on the same sources.
Anyways, it seems firmware upgrades are national secrets. Only The Asian and the German firmwares got the 4.0.4 update not others ??

I guess so. I mean I checked Samfirmware and those are the only firmwares I could find (Asian and the Open German one).
I'm just trying to solicit views and comments /experiences here to those who are using the two firmwares. Comparing one over the other. I've heard about laggyness on the German firmware and smooth UI experiences on the Asian one.
The German firmware has some issues also that the phone accordingly builds heat and drains battery more. Though I can't confirm or deny on that. That is why I would like to know straight from the sources themselves if it's really true or not.
Hey Guys,
I'm still waiting further inputs to those fellows using DXLRG and those who are using DXLR2?
What's your take on these ROMs buds?
TIA
