They are working in wrong direction
They announce it on frontpage, then later they might add it as a content for us to download

As long as we are talking about a P4350 (not a wing, or dpod), and updates are available in your local language, you shouldn't have any problems with the current Herald updates.

And now is WM6 ROM available on HTC website!
Sign in to HTC eClub, and you will be able to download the official ROM (same version as the one that showed up last week)!

No they aren't... Don't mind the printscreen of the rom info they placed there. If you go directly to the download, you'll see that it's the same rom

Why can't I install it on my T-Mobile wing?
It wouldn't work?
I am sick of the t-mobile rom.

Because it's a Wing, not a Herald.. You probably get the wrong Model ID error?
Just try to install WM6 in ASerg way.

WHere is the download?? I am an e-club member and when I login and go to "My Downloads" there's now download link (see screenshot).

p4350 to Wing

Hi all, I was just wondering. What are all the necessary changes that must be made in order for a p4350 rom to work properly on a wing. I understand that it is flashable, but I have heard there are such problems with this relating to keyboard mapping and other things as well. I figured people could possibly post the steps of doing such a conversion in this thread since there is no exact thread on this specific issue (i think )

Recook the ROM with the proper keybddr.dll
At least that's what my research has lead me to believe.

The main reason that I'm asking this question is so that I can flash Itje's Touch IT 4 on my wing. His roms seem to be the very best, but since his latest rom is cooked for the p4350, my question is what problems will be encountered if this is flashed to a Wing and is there any easy way to get around them?

Everything is not resolved by cooking and recooking , its a longer procedure to learn how to cook then to hack the registry

Yeah I think hidavi is right. I cannot find anything to fix the keyboard.

That's because they aren't there.
The keyboard issue is a little more complicated, me thinks.

Yep... you won't find them there... I've read those posts a thousand times among others and haven't found it yet... keep trying though

bump. if anyone figures out how to get 4.0 working right I'd like to here about it too.

I already said how I think it can be fixed. I would release a version, but itje doesn't want this rom recooked at the moment.

Itje, do you know when you will allow the re-cooking of your 4.0 rom? I absolutely love your work, I would love to be able to use it on the wing.

What SPL do you have? You don't have to HardSPL. You can USPL, also.

I bricked my terra 2 times. believe me i was afraid, too. but it works....
i had a terra IPL and SPL 4.11.0000
But now it is HARD-SPL

I took the plunge after papmopps told me about it,
worked perfect I had SPL/IPL at 4.17,
every Herald ROM flashable now

The original is the KPN one.
It has no KPN software and hass the full things that the WWE ROm of xperia has.

What about Xperia, bought with Hi? Is it also free of junk and other garbage?
You said that KPN has an WWE Rom, does it mean that it doesn't has Dutch language? I have ordered mine (black), with Hi and is supposed to be arriving the 13th of december. Hope it is a clean ROM.

I got my x1 from T-Mobile and it was clean room without any stupid things but i made a mistake that i didn't wait until dumbing it first
ofcourse it was dutch language and thats why i look for it again because i got tired of the cooked room i have now , i can't write any dutch word because of the suggesting words , it's so annoying

I got also the T-Mobile (Pre release but no prototype).
Sim unlocked.
And I had web n walk from tmobile on it. The other software was free.

i tried to use the update service but it said your device is up to date no update available, because it looks at your device room and compare it to the latest version of the same languge, so they don't depend on the local device number.
let's hope someone still has a dutch room and know how to dumb it shows up and make us a favour

if you only need dutch wordcompletion you can search for it.... I guess it's called "Dutch Language WM6.cab". I found it here. I use it on my Artemis with different WWE Roms, both WM6 and 6.1.
Just install cab and soft reset.
btw, you have an egypt flag in your country in stead of dutch.... is there a reason for that? (just curious)

I think you should put the flag from the country you live in, and the provider you have. In my case that's the same country. I just thought you accidentaly picked the wrong flag. Since you didn't, I'd keep the flag .

is there anyway to stop the word suggestion?
writing will be easier without it

ROM cooking and special language?

Hiya ppl
Ive recently startet to like WM when i got this really sweet phone
So ofc I would play around with rom cooking - however i dont seem to be able to find out if a wanted to make it a danish rom - should i then build my own rom from the dump ive made or could i take the one that is linked to in the Wiki and then port in the language files from my own dump? Are there even specific language files ^^
The reason i ask is that it seems like my operator (Three) has made some kind of branding to the software (Only light it seems tough) and i mostly wanted to start from a total generic version
I really hope that my questions makes any sense...
So looking forward to any help - and yea i have made quite a few searches on google and this site but i dont seem to get a clear answer...

You can take the official HTC rom. Just open the executable file with 7-Zip (or something similiar) and take "ruu_signed" as base for further development.

Uhm Im not really sure that I understand the solution? When you say official HTC rom you mean the one i can download from the wiki or the dump from my phone (That is Three banded)? Cause if i just download the one from the wiki i dont suppose it comes with danish as the language and if i use the dump i dont know if Three has made any change/branding whatever?

By official I mean a rom released by HTC, not by the operator, so its a non-branded rom. I think it should be this.

as the title says...according to the WIKI, the latest rom version is Rom 1.21.841.1 (38850) WWE, so was just wondering if anyone has it?

ok so, with this serial HT851KD22894 you can download from the australian htc site only the version 1.18.707.3 (2009-01-22 ) so that it's the latest....... in this case the wiki page must be updated.

it is the 1-22-2009 asia rom update. some cooked roms already included the core OS from this update.

ok. Im try to download it now, it is hTC_Asia_WWE_1.18.707.3_Radio_52.49a.25.26_1.09.25.14_Ship, but by issue date, it should be latest. i dont know about 1.21.841.1 (38850) WWE in the post listed. maybe wait for other to make sure it is available.

As with every other HTC phone I've owned, the stock ROM is absolutely useless. Does anyone know where I can download 1.21.841.1 so that I can revert to it for warranty purposes after I install a cooked ROM?

1.21.841.1 Rom
This rom does exist this is the telstra branded rom when you use the correct serial the htc will allow you to download it their link will stat 1.18 but the file that it down loads is the above rom version this rom is customised for telstra which is the only carrier in australia to be selling the HD This is the version with the 850 umt band as this is the NextG Network the wiki is a link to the share on rapid share so can download from their as for the (38850) I did not look at this when i had it loaded on phone.
