Does anyone know/have some experience with spare parts for the Wizard?
Is it possible to have your front cover (Qtek 9100) replaced by a new one (e.g. due to damages)?

since you seem to be dutch... check the Qtek.nl forums; they did mention they could replace the front covers where the appliquee's have worn off the buttons, as (so a rep. stated) that was likely a manufacturing error. Not sure what your damages are; I guess if you cracked it, you could still send it in for repairs. You'd be without the device for a while though?
Might you find anything, please post it here. I'm looking for a new battery cover, but am unable to find one...

Same thing happened to my Dopod 838. Slipped from my pocket and the front cover is damaged, nothing major though, just some scratches but still, very annoying...
Sistech Indonesia did have the front cover, but it was the old version. Btw, the "Dopod" logo on old front cover version is fadeable. After two weeks on my pocket, it started to fade, rub it a little bit it's gone :shock: So I think I'll wait for the new version (with new Dopod logo printed on the bottom of the screen) front cover.

They do repairs (under and out of warranty) for Qtek, but you probably will have to pay (+/-100 Euro, fall-damage is no warranty). Thats my experience. But if you have defects within warranty they will repair those for free.

For loose parts (battery cover, battery, stylus ect) you could call dynafix, for phone-number+adres see: www.dynafix.com

Tried that a month ago, they replied that they do only repairs and will not sell any spare parts..
If anyone is interested in spare parts, i have some left from my last repair for the MDA Vario:
brand new parts:
-QWERTZ-Keypad
-front cover
-main housing
used, good conditon:
-battery cover
used, minor scratches:
-back cover

Spare Parts
You may want to take a look on Ebay as I have noticed several non working display phones for sale there. I am sure that the cases would be correct as I have seen these displays at the phone dealers and they are anatomically correct.
I have some new front covers and housing parts right now, mainly for O2 XDA Mini S. But also one for T-Mobile MDA Vario and for VPA Compact S.

I'm still on a quest for battery and camera cover for the cingular 8100 (no camera), is there any news on getting those (somewhere in the world, don't care )
I dropped my Samsung Focus and broke the screen glass. The touch screen works fine and i think only the outer screen glass has to be replaced.
I have searched on internet and found DIY repair videos to replace the LCD screen, but couldn't find any info about replacing the outer glass alone. But read its pretty hard to seperate the glass from LCD and replace it !!!
The LCD screen is costing around 120$ and the outer glass is costing 10-16$. I do not want to spend more unnecessarily if i can find a way to replace the outer glass myself.
Also, Samsung Focus is not oficially released here in India here, so i don't think i can approach the samsung itself.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi pranav. Same here , i have a samsung focus and lcd + outer glass screen is broken. In one of the screen replacement video i saw , the outer screen and the lcd as one unit and not seperate. Though , i am not completely sure.
Did you find a way to get the lcd or the outer glass for your phone in India?

I found only glass on eBay (hongkong or china i suppose). When i spoke to people from service center, all of them were saying it is not possible to replace only glass and they wont do it !!! i i don't know if it is really tough or they do not want to take much pain replacing glass and want to replace the whole LCD set which is easy for them.
And the total LCD + Digitizer + glass kit, i found it for 103$ in eBay US, and for 120 - 140$ in some other repair sites and Amazon.
Waiting for get the replacement from US as it costs less and get it fixed in a samsung service center.
Don't think that's possible. After all, the whole point of "super" in super amoled is that the glass is bonded to the display.

I also lost my samsung focus S 4G outer screen, phone is working find and the touch also, smooth as it was before. The outer glass got a hair line crack all over the screen. It fell on hard surface and got the crack.
Please help me to get the outer glass.

I've purchased the glass only and I'm waiting for it to arrive. It was very cheap and if it doesn't work, I'm not going to be too upset for buying it for about $11.00.

I can update if and when I receive my replacement glass from gogotoshop. I find the place questionable but used paypal and can dispute the transaction if it isn't legit.
BTW....removing the glass & digitizer is not an easy task. From attempting to remove my broken screen, I don't think it is possible to remove it from the LCD as the previous posters mentioned.

I have the same problem the front glass broken. other things are ok, I asked on sumsung service center they said the whole thing has to change, I am sure experts can change only the front class.
Anybody has any idea about if I can buy it in India or any site who can ship to India.
or in UK, my frnd is coming from there I will ask him to buy there for me.

Finally got my replacement LCD unit from US eBay. Actual seller is from china though.
Spoke to the Samsung service center guys and they are ready to do the replacement for a nominal service charge....
Going to service center now...

So just like the samsung and iphone models, the focus and focus s can be done the same way? I know for a fact that the galaxy s4 Active is best done by machine. Since ive tried but failed to do one. I have removed the glass from a galaxy s3 mini successfully, should this phone be the same? Please respond quickly!

I dont understand how the touchscreen works, is there no digitzer or is the digitizer integraded in the amoled screen? I repair phone,s but HTC uses a glas digitizer and samsung not.
i hope somone could tell my how it works,

This should have been asked in the Q&A forum.
The difference between the galaxys and note is that the note has a wacom touchscreen & pen. The galaxys only has a touchscreen and does not support pens like the note has.

i dont think you understand me,
I repair smartphone,s and sell them. Normally a touchscreen contains of a plate of glass (digitzer) and the lcd screen that is under the digitzer. so you look trough the digitzer at the lcd and the digitzer register what you are doing with you finger. So, the galaxy S1 en the galaxy S plus has a screen within a digitzer or somthing. On ebay you can buy glass frontplate (not a digitzer a glass frontplate) what fell over the screen, but i dont find a video how you can instal these. normally you can simply put the lcd and the digitzer out but if you do that by a s1 you scratch the screen.
From what I can see there, it is a single unit. So I would guess you could not only replace the digitizer.
As i recall they are glued together and really hard to separate,that's also why u rarely see dust and moist under the glass of the sgs
I had a broken glass and i had to change the hole unit. It is very expensive. Glass and lcd costs 170 €.

wintel is right. The digitizer is fused/glued onto the LCD screen directly. There's no easy way to separate the two. Theoretically you can buy the two separately, but then you will have to find a way to glue the two together yourself.
My phone got crack at the front housing just beside the screen at the both side. I went to the Samsung outlet yesterday to ask for the warranty repair and that guy told me that crack housing is not cover under warranty. He told me, if I want to replace the front housing I need to replace the motherboard too because the front housing is attached together with the motherboard. He also told me the price is around RM700 = $250. My question, should I brick my phone so they can replace the front housing ? My phone is white colour and the crack is so obvious.

the motherboard is screwed to the frame...the flex cables unplug easily and the screws remove easily... i can take it apart in 3 minutes... so someone is feeding you a bunch of bull****... no i wouldnt brick it.. i would report them to samsung.... someone is trying to pocket some $$$$ as for the cracks..that should be a warranty if there is no obvious damage that caused the cracks... again id contact samsung and ask someone there and report the shop that stated this to you...
