[HELP] installing new rom stuck on 99%

After i tried to install a new rom it stuck on 99% when i put my phone on it will only go to the bootloader... what can i do???

Always post the data of your your phone,to get help.
secondly you had a bad flash,perhaps your phone is CID locked. Which rom were you trying to flash ?
Now to recover,download the official carrier's rom and flash it while in bootloaders.The phone will start working again in default status,then,Read and understand the unlocking method and the flashing guide,read the stickies carefully and perform the method correctly.

i removed the simlock with lockwizb and a tried to put airfawizard rom on it so now i have this tricolord screen en there is nothing i can do.. tried to update i with the original carrier rom but it says update error so in seems it can't see my phone or something but my usb is plugged in i hope i can fix this i only can see this blue green red screen it drives me crazy hope you can help me.....

If you can go to boot loader, most likely you will be ok. When you plug in the usb port, does the words in the screen change from serial to USB? Once it changes, then flash your official, and then CID unlock your device (this is different from SIM unlock). Then flash to the ROM you want!!

The only thing it does is going to bootloader and when i plug my usb in it say usb but when i try to install my original rom from t-mobile ( a update ) it says it's looking for information on my mda but after a couple of second it's say UPDATE ERROR i use windows vista can that be a problem? and how do i know wich one is the original..?

Vista dont like upgrading and stuff...but there is a work around, search the forum and see if you find it. Or try using XP.

Sorry should explain my issue incase anyone can help.
I attempted an upgrade to WM6 using an Upgrade .Bat from this site. I was slightly impatiant due to not being able to complete the downgrade first anyway the upgrade frose, after a while I canceled the update and carried out a hard re-set... Since then I'm not able to boot nor connect to my desktop via Active sync (WMDC (Vista))
I've followed every instruction I can find but only to be meet with RUU Errors saying can't connect or file open. I can however acces my Bootloader screen and when connection is made the USB symbol shows on the screen of my phone...
Any help would be greatly recieved......

a stupid question(247 error)

I am trying to update my rom to Olipro 1.20 (my previous rom is 1.23.163.2), when I hit the update button my activesync disconnects and I recieve the 247 error, but the mobile gets into the tri color screen ! how can I fix this please ? Also I visited trinityguides FAQ, it says to leave the phone into the tri color page and restart the olipro update, I did this, but the update runs to 100% in one second and it says sucessfully updated, but it is not, so what's the deal ? thank you for your help

You're not using Vista™ by any chance, do you?

no i am not, as a matter of fact, i just download xp on my vista machine just to update my htc but it is not working, is there any possible solution ? do you think that the activesync that I downloaded is what it gets htc to disconnect when I try to update the device ??

Just for the record, Olipro 1.20 is HardSPL and 1.23.163.2 is Radio.
Error 247 referrs to "image file corrupt", which you might fix by downloading the file again - whatever it is you are trying to flash.
Note: If you own a new device and has not been HardSPL'd, you should head to http://trinityguides.info

Hi,, I have used shelltool to install TNT 6.1 from wizlove all went smooth
Then i decided to try a different radio so flashed 02.71.11 from o2.37.11
all went smooth no problem,, It wasnt a day and I had to get rid of 02.71.11
so tried flashing to others and ruu loses conection on status bar and screen goes into the tri col mode,, since then I have tried to do hard spl and it gets as far as the white screen and then ruu says lost connection, so I used shelltool to flash back to wizlove but after reboot stuck on splash screen
I can get into the tri colour bootloader screen the usb shows but cant get any connection to ruu
Im G4, ipl 2.16.0001

gsm 02.71.11
os 2.26.10.2
help me please head is sore from reading too much

What IPL/SPL it displays now and which windows are you doing on? If its vista it won't work.WinXP is highly recommended for HardSPL.Don't use Shelltool go for HardSPL or SoftSPL.

ipl spl as posted,,,,,I have already used shelltool to load TNT and then I tried to run hard spl but ruu says lost conection on white screen so I used shelltool to go back to wizlove but on reboot it is stuck on splash screen, and Im on xp

Ah ! yes,its G4,ok,HardSPL won't work in Bootloaders (tricolor) it'll only work if working OS is running.

So try to reflash an original ROM dont install wizlove (it wont be a diference but...) in RGB try to run the RUU from original EXE package id dont works is almost bricked.
Try to get a backup from another device fully functional following the steps indicated by Drug store on splash screen stucks solution DIY thread if dont works or you dont have a backup Minisd so try the MTTY...

I am CID locked G4

Download Official k-jam stock rom from the below link and flash it in Bootloaders,recover back to default status and than proceed further:-

G4 devices cannot be CID unlocked like a G3 phones,in this situation only official stock rom will get flashed,it contains IPL/SPL for both the devices,it shud flash and work.Than after recovering back ,Apply 'HardSPL' to semi-CID unlock the phone and upgrade to any wm6 rom,don't use Shelltool,it sometimes creates problem.
I don't think Backup rom through minisd with MTTY will work in this situation, but than, thats me !

OK I got the official rom, but same problem RUU says it hasnt got a connection the phone is in tricol boot load at this time, I think the issue is how to get a comunication between the RUU and the wizard in in Tricol mode surely someone has an answer on this?

OK.... it seems to be your PC...
When you plug your device via usb in the pc port the dev shows USB bottom left on screen... ? Does the PC shows you "Unknown device, please intall the drivers... or has a bad function"?
The USB cable... maybe your battery is low.... maybe the USB PORT... i dont imagine anymore problems... Try to get a full batt.. other USB cable and other PC XP of course... and retry.

FIIIUUUUU!!! it seem that you have comm conection betwen the RUU and the device... but Wrong ID?
Download the file zabardast told you... it is from your carrier.
If this is the one u have tried...
so try another one... from Tmobile prodigy 2.26... or from qtek 9100 2.19 official Stock ROMS.

hmmm,ok,download this RUU attached and extract it, replace this RUU with the RUU in the official rom and run this RUU from the Rom,hope it'll flash.
Or,download the K-jam official stock rom from here :-

I tried all that and still not getting anywhere, constantly the same problem re connection I do get the found new hardware when trying different usb ports but the ruu complains " no connection" I cant seem to get what it did before in terms of getting further to the point where it told me invalid ID I will have to try another pc with xp but dont have one handy

USPL was not working for me when I needed to use it to upgrade the ROM on my touch hd.
What I did was run it on Windows XP instead of Windows Vista and the device responded.
Install ActiveSync 4.5 on Windows XP, disable USB connection in ActiveSync settings, and connect PDA to computer via USB whilst the PDA is on bootloader.
Then run USPL.

Well the first try failed.
the phone didn't get connected to xp (using vmware)
So gonna try @ home.
I'm going to try this:
No connection, wait 5 min, than put battery back and preform a HR.

This was unbranded.....
But going to try to flash the dutch rom.
Funny thing is sometimes it starts flashing but after 1% the screen goes black and back to home menu of bootloader.
Most of the times it just stays @ 0%

Fire up MTTY and do an "info 2". It should give you the CID of the device - try and find a matching Ship EXE for that CID.
*Instructions for MTTY are in the Kaiser Stuck in Bootloader link in my sig BTW.

While loading I ran the dutch rom update.
And now it's flashing.

The dutch image must match the CID / Model on your device.

riz157, try flashing with the original shipped rom the device came with. i had this problem a few days ago. it took a while to work out. the shipped rom did the trick for me.

I think I also screwed up my HD. It is stuck on Loading... screen. Won't connect to pc. Can not flash anything to it. Restores ok but after reset it shows "update rom code error,please try again" and then next screen shows Loading... for ever.
Please help me guys.....

what if you dont remmember what was the original one =)
i tryed to delete the HSPL
by hardboot via SD ( LEOIMG )...
i got the same problem ...
with the message:
Upgrade ROM code error, Please Try Again.
1) i took out the SD from the Device
2) pulled out the battery 5 sec wait ...
3) put it back ... Push power button ...
4) on the exclamation mark screen ( after it loads )
5) reinstall the HSPL ...
and wm workes again ....
BUT STILL ....
how can i delete the HSPL properly and put a OWWE on my device.

and the manual flash file when i run it the device is lag
so i get into the bootloader by pressing volum down and power then realese
and i start the manul flahs then here is the 7 pictures i put it in zip file cu they more than 4 file
hope we fix the proplem

Might have been more help asking in the hspl thread but nevermind . Try a different cable (most mini usb cables will do)

no need to go crazy, this can be fixed.
you shouldn't enter the bootloader yourself, it won't flash that way.
what error did it say in automatic mode?

i change the usb and disable the proxy and turn off all my firewall and antivirus
i think the proplem from something lagging from the hspl software
cuz i enter the bootloader and i start manual flash and it's respond and show to me the update button and i press it and tell my software version and if i wanna change to oilnex version and i press it and show to me the percentage image on the pc and in the phone then i wait then nothing happend

you shouldn't enter the bootloader like that, the flash won't work that way.

the screenshots are very helpful in seeing what your problem is.
ok, after 3rd step now try copying Manual SSPL exe (link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=232407&d=1254155476) on the phone, run it, it should then show SSPL screen on the phone. then use the Manual flash mode on the PC. let me know if it works that way

I'm asking to make sure you did not do a hard reset or anything (I mean, don't do hard reset)

glad to help. as I said, the manual SSPL in the thread was the wrong version. I forgot to update it at one point, will add it in the thread now. (most people can just go and use automatic mode so nobody noticed there was an issue with the file.)

I really need some help please!!
I think I have read and searched and tried steps by step all the posts and threads on this, none of them work for me,
Ive flashed my HD2 & TD2 with HSPL, radios and roms many times in the past. I have a stock rom on my TD2, (havent flashed a cooked one yet but did on my HD2 and worked great),
the problem is when I try flash anything, (HSPL,Radio's and Roms)
I connect with WMDC on windows ultimate 64x and go through all the steps, the phone disconnects from WMDC when loading the tri-color screen, and installs the HTC sync drivers fine, and then (my problem) it hangs on 0%. this happens regardless of what I'm flashing after a while brings up the communication errors 208 & 260. this doesnt have any effect on the software HSPL or radio as a soft reset returns back to the homescreen just fine. I am running HSPL 1.8.3. , radio 4.49.25.17 and a shiped stock wm 6.5.
This is what Ive tried so far:
I have used 3 different micro USB cables,
updated my .net fx to 4.1
I have tried different Ruu's such as custom Ruu, Ruu from topaz, Ruu, supplied with Hspl, flashes center and KaiserCustomRUU.exe and a few others.
Ive tried the white screen fix many times. including the SDA unlocker and stuff.
I ve tried manual and automatic.
tried entering the the Tri-color screen manually and via the Ruu.
I tried different computers and different operating systems (W7ultimate and XP 32Bit and 64Bit)
tried active sync WMDC 6.0 and 6.1
Ive removed the SD card and sim and have tried flight mode
Restarted pc's mobile any reinstalled WMDC many times.
Ive tried renaming to the HSPL, radio and Rom to TOPAIMG.nbh , put 1 by 1 on formated fat32 SD card, run from Tri-color menu. all of them just hang on
loading....
Have tried mixing and matching Ruu's with HSPL's, Roms And radios and everything else i can think of, after 18 hours of this I am fed up and decided i need some help

i have now download the official RUU_Topaz_S2_HTC_WWE-AFK_2.53.421.3_Radio_Signed_Topaz_61.44etc.25.35_4 .49.25.91_Ship.exe Rom
and it worked with no problems.
it updated my HSPL from 1.83 to 2.51 and radio version to 4.49.25.91 which was exactly what i was going for.
The problem now is that i still cant change my HSPL, RADIO or flash a custom Rom which is what I need. it hangs on 0% and now gives me a 262 error which states that:
ERROR [262] : UPDATE ERROR
This error occurs during the CE ROM code upgrade process. If this happens, you can just soft reset the device and run RUU again. The update process will then continue. At this stage the rom on the device is incomplete and it will not boot back up into Windows. You will need to place it into the bootloader to continue.
which is not true as if a reboot it doesn't continue the update and just returns to the home screen as normal
help?
