Hello All,
I was just wondering if any of you have come across the following problem.
My wife and I both have HTC P4350 devices that are not SIM Locked in any way.
When we were using WM5 the devices worked perfectly, but with WM6 after a while, the ring-tone (and all audio that we play on the device) is played faster (and at a higher pitch) than usual. It sounds almost as though someone is spinning the LP record too fast
Has anyone here come across the same problem? If so... do any of you know of a solution as it is a really annoying fault.
Before anyone asks.... I have found this problem on 3 devices now, so I don't think that it is a problem with the actual devices.
Any comments would be appreciated.

I have Imate JAmin. It also was working finewith mw5 but with theupgrade to MW6 I am facing the same problem spicialy with MID ringtones
any solution?
Hello,
I am sorry to hear that you also have the same problem. Sadly, I don't have a solution, and no-one else on this site seems to have this problem.
I wish that I could answer it!!
I have since tried the update on a third device and it also has the same problem.
It is definitely a problem with the ROM!!
If you hear of a solution, I would LOVE to know about it.
Thanks for you info.

Hello again,
I was just wondering if you have found a solution to the audio problem yet.
Could the problem be due to the network provider? Which network provider do you use?
I have now tried the upgrade with 3 different machines, and they all have the same problem.
Is it even possible that this type of problem could be caused by the network?
Any opinions would be gratefull!!!!
Nick
i was just wondering if you found a solution to this problem. because i use HTC Tough with WM 6.1 and have the exact same problem.
Thanks
Luke
I have been using my HTC Touch for more than 1 and half year, recently it start to have this problem, mp3 or ringtone become fast (high pitch). Any solution???
Hello I am also having this issue with a Tmobile Dash. I am using Kavanah's WM6.1 ROM.
I was wondering is this an issue that can be fix by changing something in the registry? I did a hard and soft reset on this device. It worked the first time I played an mp3. Once I used it a second time it started playing fast.
I've been searching the forums and I landed on this threat. I will keep on searching.
Thx
I have the same problem!
Please, pitch is no good.
Anyone help me?
My e-mail is [email protected]
Thanks.

I have tried searching everywhere but i cannot find anyone with a similar problem.
I have an o2 XDA 2s which so far has been the best phone PDA i have used.
However, I have one small problem sometimes which happens about once in every ten calls i answer or dial, I cant hear anything the person on the other end is saying and they cant hear me too. However, I am able to make/recieve calls as normal if i do a soft reset which takes about 2 mins, rather irritating. Has anyone had a similar experience? Its just so fustrating when the phone is such a superb phone that this rather small problem happens.
Please can someone advise me on what the best thing to do is, I have tried a hard reset but this has not solved anythinga and the problem remains.
Should i try upgrade using the upgrades provided for the XDA 2S on the o2 site? i understand this flashes the ROM or something. Is this easy to do and is there a chance of doing worse damage when flashing? also my XDA which is an O2 phone is unlocked onto all networks, i.e. orange, tmobile, vodafone, does this mean if i flash the rom that i will lose the unlocked networks and be stuck on O2? I would be very grateful if someone could advise a newby as to how i could rectify this problem on what otherwise is a superb phone.
Thanks
riaz
I use 2 Blue Angels with 2 ROMs 2 versions at the same time, one is WM2003 radio 1.13 and the other is WM5 radio 1.15.Both face the same problems as yours.
After I uninstalled O2 Active user interface from both Blue Angels, that problem was fixed.
If you have O2 Active user interface installed, remove it and see if it is fixed or not.
I've had the same issue on my Orange M2000. Apparently it's bluetooth related and a couple of ROM updates do actually improve it.
Re: XDA 2s
thanks for your response, how do i find if i have O2 Active user interface on my phone? or whether it is installed on my phone? and how do i remove it?
Im sorry i am a newbie so all this is new to me, but where theres a will theres a way!
Thanks
I don't think it's anything to do with the O2 software; the same problem affects Orange devices. Try updating with the official updates, if that doesn't work search the forum for "silent call" and you will hopefully find someone discussing which ROMs are the best for this issue.

1) What firmware are you using.
2) Do you use bluetooth or wired headset
2) Why is this so URGENT sounds like you've had the problem for a while.
mic/speaker
I permanently keep my bluetooth on which so far is working...
I have an XDA 2s
rom version 1.40.00WWe
Radio Version 1.15.00
I have not flashed or hard reset my phone asi thought it may make things worse!
Update with the O2 D/L...
As you have XDA IIs, and are on O2 why not update with the official update from O2? It'll upgrade your ROM and fix a couple of known issues with the PDA... I used this 'new' ROM for some time before flashing to WM5, and it worked flawlessy. even with the O2 Active installed (which is bloatware anyway!)...
You can find it here
Or you could flash with a base ROM and use a Cooked Ext ROM to get the apps you want, or take the plunge and get WM5!! It's all in the Wiki, and quite simple if you read a little
Hi,
The first time i came in here was to look for promising video drivers, till the update of HTC, there isn't any update on the video drivers.
Anyway, my real problem is with the touchscreen and the lag of the whole system (the last one is because of the non existing drivers i gues).
Is there any way to solve the almost 100% cpu when using the touchscreen? this would help alot! Is there any ROM available that fixes this?
I did found something interesting:
http://eten-users.eu/index.php?showtopic=14129.
It is a fix for the ETEN Glofiish X600/650, however, it's not thesame processor as the TytnII, but it is thesame problem, maybe if someone could see at the solution, of the eten glowfiish, there can be found a solution for the tytnII also? I'm still at the original ROM, but i hardly use my tytnII because of the 80-90% cpu usage while using the touchscreen and the slower working of the tytnII in general, slower then older devices.
I would love to hear a solution, or a half solution for this...
Thanks for anyone who can help.
Greetings,
Steve
Edit: title is wrong, it is Tytn II, not kaiserII
HI,
First of all I would like to say thank you to all the people of this website which is doing his best to give us day by day new elements to appreciate better and better our phone.
Now this is my problem :
I've currently a kaiser with the diamond L9 rom and the radio 1.71
I've installed on my kaiser TOMTOM 7.45 and since that , I can't ear nothing from the other part when someone is calling me or when I call Someone
Anyway, if I put the speaker on I can ear the oher part and it works also with a headset.
This problem is quite annoying cause I don't want all the people arround me listen to my conversation with the speaker on !
I've tested other roms and also a lot of radios but the problem still remains
I've also tested rom 6.0 with radios 6.0 but without any good results.
I've also tried the audiogain solutions but nothing !
Please can someone give me the solution ??
Thanks in advance
My Vario III suddenly stops recording sound properly via the built in
microphone. If I make a call when this is happening the other person cannot hear me or sound quality is very poor and if I use htc voice-recorder the sound seems very far away with occasional loud distortion. If I plug in my external headphones and use that mic the sound is absolutely fine.
This problem seems to just appear and then can just go. A soft reset makes no difference. A hard reset or flashing the radio or rom has, so far, always solved the problem - until it happens again which could be in a few hours, days or even weeks.
I can't link the problem to any particular software that runs.
I've tried flashing several different radios. I still get exactly the same problem. My local repairer says it won't be the mic as they either break or they work - not coming and going as I have.
Has anyone any suggestions for what I could try to fix this? Suspect software? Should I just keeping working my way through new radio roms? Do you think it is actually the mic in the phone?
I can't find quite this problem described anywhere else so your help would be very much appreciated. Many thanks.

Then go see somewhere else, they're not reliable...
A bad contact causing an intermittent failure is one of the most common problems in electronic devices...
I'm having the exact same problem on my Vodafone V1615. Funny thing is, my radio ROM was the same as yours when the problems began. I waited till the Vodafone V1615 WM 6.1 ROM update, and installed it. It worked, for a few weeks, and then the problem returned. Vodafone does not want to fix it for me
Hello tha_bulldog
When your mic stops working have you found a reliable way to get it working again?
Long shot but does this thread help??? The problem was the way the user holds the phone, covering the mic with their hand.

Hi guys,
I''m new to this forum and I'm also new to HTC Diamond. However I found great guidance to "upgrade" my MDA Compact IV to HTCs original patched rom (1.93.407.1 GER) and had a radio update to 1.00.25.05, but after upgrading to these versions with Hard SPL oni 1.30, my phone is experience problems with phone calls. Whenver I'm at a phone call either I my HTC looses signal so that I cannot hear my counter part or It simply disconnects. I'm pretty annoyed with this and I dont know what to do.
Would appreciate answer on If some one is experiencing simliar problems or on a guideline to how to "cure" my phone.
Thank you!
And btw I'm also having this problem where I cannot hear the caller nor can the caller hear me the first 2-3 secs. Is this due to my upgrade? Or is It a radio prob or maybe the rom itself?
i would suggest changing the Radio... although i havent heard of problems with this radio version before (i am using it too)
Thanks for the reply mugglesquop. Neither have I heard of anything bad regarding this version, but I'm a bit worried. Can It be also a hardware defect? And If you would suggest me to switch to another radio, which version would It be? If I perform an upgrade of radio I will need to re-install rom as well. Is this true?
