I recently reverted back to wm5 because of all of the bugs with all of the custom wm6 roms and I want to completely remove the tray icons at the bottom. i already got rid of the battery icon and another one too but I want to get rid of the comm manager icon because it is the only one left on the tray.
Someone please help me.
Thanks, Dan.
Go to the windows startup folder and remove the Init_Tray and then do a soft reset and it will be gone.

I installed Kaiser_htc.home.v2.0.814.722.cab http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=52349&d=1190963326
But the HTCHomeplug only shows 2 icons. and 2 other icons are there but no pictures. Not sure what the problem is.

icon registry help
search for my thread or search registry in the title in kaiser upgrading. in there we've got the keys for all 4 icons plus the batt and rotation icons (like on the tilt) or you can add other icons to it like ie file explorer or other programs on your storage card if you need additional help ask on that thread. search is your friend
What is the reg tweak to add the battery indicator on the taskbar? I know the one that replaces the clock with the battery, but I would like both icons to appear.
Thanks.
I know that SPB pocket plus 4 can do this, and there are a bunch of gradiented battery bars.
That said, i'm sure that there is a reg key but I do not know it.

thanks, that's exactly what i was looking for.. before you showed me this program i put the file "powertray.exe" in \windows\startup so i could get the icon on my taskbar; now that i have this battery program i want to delete the file. I'm not allowed to however because it is "still running.."
I assume the only way to delete a file from \windows\startup is to boot in safe mode. is there a key stroke configuration that you can do after a soft-reset? or do you have to install software? if it is the latter, is there freeware that can perform this task.. stable.
thanks.
an alternative is WKtask, also free, which includes the topbar batterygauge and the tabbed task manager, plus many other extras.

not as colorful as the Molski, but WKtask covers 100% of the top bar versus Molski's 90%
EDIT:
Batti 2.4 was just released on 9/13/08. It's the best I've found.
hi
i got diamond for few days now. i wonder is there any way to get bar with icons on the bottom of screen with programs working in background (like bluetooth icon, skype or minimized tomtom)?
I'm not sure if it'll work with VGA, but try PHM Tray Launch; works great.
doesn't help. the same with any items you would like to add to Today screen:/
DisableTF3D and use the standard WM Today screen...
Try Quickmenu - it adds a task manager to the start menu. There are also some programs that add running task icons to the top bar and a number of improved task managers for the close button.
WkTASK Manager shows running applications in the top bar and you can customise layout and behaviour pretty well.
I want to remove the default battery-gauge from the taskbar on my Diamond 2, since I like using the one that comes with Quickmenu in stead.
I've tried the registry "hack" (HKLM/services/Power/ShowIcon = 0)and it goes away if I'm in an app or in the menus, but when I'm on the homescreen it's still there. Anyone got an idea of what I'm doing wrong?
I'm using an original 1.39.409.2 Norwegian ROM with SPB Shell 3
Thanks in advance!
