Hi I have a Orange M2000 but use an o2 Sim which works fine for calls and text messages but I cannot download MMS messages, could anyone advise me what I need to do to get this working, also is it worth while changing to an o2 Rom rather then having the orange ROM?
Thanks
18 July WM v6.1 Messaging SMS \ MMS contingency, phone service is five bar signal , select Send and messaging process displays “Your text message cannot be sent”.
Call HTC technical support and select troubleshooting. Explain that yesterday Edyta suggested visit HTC e-member site for Radio ROM update, there is no Radio ROM update for TyTN II.
Raes answers, I explained contingency, Raes suggested that I call telephone provider I said that that the phone is HTC supplied SIM unlocked and that I have tried three SIM cards and the SMS contingency is the same.
Call ref. 08rbc290000760 Raes says select Settings, Phone, Services, Voice Mail and Text Messages, Get Settings, and that Phone: text messages service centre: number +44 7802 2092035 is incorrect (note that Voice Mail: number is blank) and that I need to call the SIM card service provider for a new number for the TyTN II phone service.
18 July 2008 Installed received today new SIM card supplied by O2 SIM serial no. 0064 4188 36619 marked www.02.co.uk/blueroom 3G
Installed new SIM card, restart TyTN II, Check Phone: text messages service centre: number and it is the same +44 7802 2092035.
Select Messaging: select SMS; select a failed SMS text message, select Send, dialogue box displays message sent.
Call HTC technical support, advise Mathew that contingency resolution here is that SIM cards supplied pre 3G not liked by TyTN II.
I received this message once when sending an SMS from an area where texting worked but voice/data did not. In my case, all I had to do was tap "Tap here to retry", and it worked.
Just to eliminate any 3G issues, you may want to force the phone onto Edge and try again.
I get this sometimes, usually right when I'm getting a message from someone else. I guess it's kind of a collision thing.
Anyway, just tapping "click here to retry" works but sometimes it does take three or four times to go through.
Sorry this isn't more help.

do you have your messages on threaded mode or normal mode
if its on normal (hacked by registry or other tools) this could be the problem because i experienced the same issue when i shifted (temp) to wm6.1
best wishes,

Definitely a well written post (I'll be taking que's from that from now)! Seems my problem is low signal strength, incoming sms's jammed (seriously, how stupid is that??), *and* wm6.1 I'm about to switch over to a 6.5 device, so we'll see if 6.5 is any better than 6.1.
*edit*
I have noticed that the whole messaging system locks up sometimes if I can't send out an sms, and a reboot will fix it with a rush of incoming messages that should have happened when i was trying to send out one. Is this common?
I have got rid of the O2 Active and have hard reset my machine.
I have input the standard O2 MMS settings into the phone and can, yes can send myself an MMS successfully. Also I can receive from other O2 folks who send me an MMS.
But if anyone tries to send me an MMS from say T-mobile I will have the message in my inbox and I can hit the download button but it never comes.
Can anyone help please?
Hello Guys,
i have some problems with my Kaiser (T-Mobile Vario III).
After I send a SMS 1 minute later a message popups "SMS could not send...".
I look in the Phonesettings but my SMS Center Number is correct...
Greets: Patrick
Original FIRMWARE 6.1 from T-Mobile Site
ROM 3.31.111.4 GER
RADIO: 1.70.18.02
Try your sim card in other phone and see if the sending works there.
in a iPhone it works without any problems
if its not a problem, u could try hardreset, that should help.
Whenever somone sends me an MMS, my Vario III receives it multiples times over a period of several days.
It's runnin stock WM 6.1 and is on T-Mobile UK.
Any ideas?
Cheers.
