11. A little add-on app, cos for me little app is not a big deal, u can add it latter. big app is more important to put in the ROM.
12. Hardware Keyboard Typing in Inbox/E-mail should not be repeated like thiiiiiiiiiis if u dont mess with the setting.
Known issues
1. MSN Not workin. its currently happen to all version and Himalaya Version. Agile Messenger might sound good?. FIXED!
2. BT A2DP Support still not functional. will use patch to fix this. anyone can help?
3. Comm Manager Cant turn on WIFI, unles WIfi has been turn on before. (is there's a way to make wifi on while bootin and turn it off after windows start? if that posible then problem with this will fix also) but u can always us the wifi tray..

Update:
PocketMSN Fix, SSL with GMail, Hotmail. please test it with exchange server, WIFI, PUSH, since i fix most of the communication sertificates issues here and please let me know.
I also hv fix for GPS BUG, and cant delete file in Album BUG but its not necesarry to send it now, its work ok, but will test it more.
Tips:
Just Do automatic detection setting on first create account with GMail and u should ok, but dont forget to mark SSL Connection in Option/Advance setting.

A2DP Issue
With regards to the above, I have posted the differences I found between TuMa 1.4 and this ROM here...
It seems that although everything is present, the BtA2dpSnd.dll isn't being activated and so the functionality, although offered when pairing a device, isn't available as a profile, I'm at work all day (bummer ) and won't be able to work on it this weekend due to family commitments, but if anyone else (Tuatara ) could look at this it would be great!

IMAP4 Account gone after changing Battery
The captioned problem is encountered in both Tuma 1.4 and Helmi 1.0 ROM. Am I the only victim?

I think it is a known problem with all WM5 ROMs at least on BA (disappearing e-mail accounts if battery removed).

On first boot after replacing the battery you should immediately soft-reset with the reset hole when you see "R None" displayed. That should prevent your email accounts from disappearing. As KTamas said this happens with all BA WM5 roms i've used (Tuma 1.3, Himalaya port and original WM5 beta rom)
One question, due to my work schedule I cant flash till the weekend. Do AKU 2 functions like push email work? Havent seen this mentioned so far.

Speaking of the devil, I have seen the same stupid situation on a brand new HP iPaq rw6828 once. Together with VGSMail, the push mail functions quite OK on the BA Tuma1.4 Beta except the frequent popping up of Repollog errors. Too bad if we need to take extra precautions in changing battery! Is there any cure at all?

Certainly does - I have push email working with this ROM over GPRS.

If there's enough demand I'll document what I did - though the vast majority of the work is configuring Exchange and OWA itself, very little to do on the device.

First of all, thanks for the great work! It is really a nice ROM . Just need to find out something. I downloaded the "Helmi_BA_WM2k5_AKU_2.3_32mb_v1.rar" file, thinking that it should give me 32 MB of RAM Disk. But after I install it, it shows 64MB of RAM disk. Can anyone tell me which one is the file that create 32 MB of RAM disk? Thanks...

Trust me, I'm working on it, unfortunately I have a monstrous amount of family commitments this weekend... so it might not be for a couple of days... it's the one thing left I want fixed, I don't use Pocket MSN anyway (prefer IM+ and FlexMail)

Tray Icons...
One thing I'd like to do is get rid of the BT Icon in the tray, remove the Comm Manager Today Plugin and get it in the tray instead, I know it's possible as the Universal and other newer PDA's have it there...
Does anyone know the reg entry to enable this? I've tried a couple of random ones but can't seem to get it working...
If all else fails I'll get a mate over with his Uni and dump his Registry

removing the tray apps is just a case of removing thier shortcuts in \windows\startup
and the com manager on today screen go to start>settings>personal>today>items and uncheck 'wireless'

I know that, I've removed the today plugin and tray icons I don't want, just need the exe for the comm mgr for try icon...

I'm not sure what the other files in this package are for. For example, do I need to run the \Preparation\ExtROM Unlocker - WM2003SE\xda-developers_Unlocker.CAB file before I flash the ROM and do I need to use the DOC repartitioning tool?
And what should be done with the files in the Extended_ROM directory?

AKU3.0 TEST

Hi again,
I've been battering away at this for a few days now, ever since finding some files while browsing around for AKU3.0 progress.
I won't say where I found them as I just kinda took them without them being advertised or offered.
The ROM has 32mb ramdisk, and a small collection of BIG known bugs :-
- Wifi does not work at all
- camera is rotated and generally wrong
- video recording does not work at all
(I seem to be missing "capture.dll", and possibly ceperf.dll?)
On the happier side, the following nice features of this ROM do work :-
- Pocket MSN
- ActiveStink
- Fixed WMPlayer stutter bug (wavedev prio set to "8")
- Built in totalcommander, regedit, taskmgr and HTC backup
- Really nice screen rotate that doesn't lock the device for 10 secs
- Better welcome procedure with email setup
- word to the wise - buttonlock is in Buttons->3rd tab(lock)
Bluetooth switches on and off, and it flashes the light. I have nothing to connect it to, so some detailed feedback on this would be handy.
Midget/Helmi/Bepe/Other regular ROM releasers - PM me and I'll share anything you think might help. Anyone with help on the Wifi/camera issues do PM me.

wifi does work.. at least I can enable it with wlan_man.exe

1.My BA has got no sound with this ROMs.
2.Start Menu is still delayed without "Sound and notification" tweak.
3.Cannot turn-off BlueTooth.

has a simple app that works to enable wifi.. so at least that can be used.. BT seemed to enable and disable no prob.. video seems to work ok now, have my standard SAP I used on the 2.3 roms so you'll see the same apps.. camera isn't working..

This problem seems to be happening for software that has a Today plugin like Resco, Pocket Weather, etc.
Hope it's not a big problem to fix as this ROM seems great! Thanks.

MicMeo - how on earth have you managed to end up with no sound?
The only thing I can think of is not formatting the device after flash, but it seems unlikely that you of all people would forget that.
To my knowledge the only current bugs are those in the first post (I'm unable to replicate the events/notification slowdown) - and the today plugin problem.
I'll test out SPB/resco tonight and see if I can find the source of it.
From my point of view the rom runs as a phone and PIM perfectly. Camera and Wifi will be fixed as I get the driver package more robust.
I've yet to test Helmi's ROM, but from the descriptions so far it seems like a tour de force (with the exception of some lingering certificate issues).

I've just taken a look at Helmi's ROM.
Forget my ROM - it's rubbish.
Helmi has released by far the best WM5 ROM yet made for BA. It is really professional quality. In fact I'm shocked at how good it is.

Nice wm2005 Rom
I installed this rom today. Its very nice and it runs very smoothly. I think it's on of the fastest roms out there(and i tryed them all). Only bug i found that with pocket word you can not open new files.... it gives an error of some sort. The rest is working perfectly up till now.
Nice work. Hope you also fix the a2dp profile bug. cause my headset is waiting for the solution.

Windows Media Player is not working
Now on a more serious note. windows media player is not working. this is a bit of a problem for me. Hate to say this but i think i'm going to reflash this one and wait till some of the problems are fixed.

- Real Crossbow Sound Themes, Dialpad, today & WM Player Skin (all rescale from Crossbow VGA version)
- IPNAT / Internet Sharring. share ur PDA internet connection with ur PC at the same time (tested, I'm posting this thread using this IPNAT)
- Wmodem hv been strip out since it useless and replace by IPNAT
- More manage MMS 3.16.16 (No need Enable_MMS.cab anymore, sorry about the old one)
- BTA2DP Supported, with newer AKU3 and above BTA2DP module. I dont know if it better or not since I dont use it much... but with my test, its far more better then the old one.
- Some extras app (Limited due the big fat new OS stuff)
- BT/Wifi Coex (if sometimes wifi refuse to turn on, just suspend the device and try turn on again.. hopefully U'll get lucky..)
Limited:
- Smartdialing Is not compatible with AKU3.5, the last supported is AKU3.3.
- STK didn't work (I've strip out from the rom due the critical rom space)
- Wifi must turn on first with WlanManager to use it with CommManager (old bug)
As always, this rom is on beta stage, any bug report is more then welcome guys..

Ok.. just flashed this ROm. Initial performance of the interface is the same as Xplode 3.5.
But after instally three today plugins:
1. SPB Diary v2.1.2
2. Phone Alarm v1.58
3. SBSH iLauncher 3.0.01
the performance is very much slower compared to Xplode's 3.5. Everytime you open a menu or switch windows, there is a significant lag in the graphics redrawing.

Bluetooth Stereo
Hiya Helmi.. Just to confirm Bluetooth Stereo is working fine, as s the headset profile! A small note however, if you install teh windows Today Plugin, the audio stops after about a second!
Speed is good though! Seems stable..

Two bugs noticed:
screen orientation icon on today screen taskbar will only switch between landscape modes and not back to portrait.
Cannot set home page in internet explorer. Will revert back to default setting.

that quite interesting... I've seen xplode registry setting and there all standar, un tweaked registry... hmm... does BA not very good when we tweak it or does the tweak require another graphics tweak to make it work equal the overall speed.. I'll install thoose app and I'll try to learn the effect... in the mean time try the attached cab (standarize.zip) to standarize the tweak setting about cache.. and please report the result...

can u please gave me the today plugin? I need to test it.. cos in my test, I've syncing, wifi conected, and also play 15mb divX movie with PPC DivX player, and audio transmitted to my pc.. yes it skip a little but didn't stop playin the movie for about 1++ hour its only stop when I stop it... U might also try the standarize.cab for testing..

I've just reflashed Xplode's 3.5 and I can confirm the performance is better. My contacts in Pocket Informant loads faster, and there is no Today screen lagginess.
I also confirm the screen rotate bug. It doesn't rotate back to Portrait once you switch to Landscape. Need to go back to Settings > Screen to make it Portrait again.

Second confirmation of the Screen roation bug..
Noticed its a bit difficult to activate BT stereo as well! Any ideas as to how to make a button to switch it on and off??

UPDATE:: Helmi.. if you deactivate the BT headset, and then reactivate it it works! I have no idea why!

screen rotate bug is ddi_d3d driver bug, thats why on the old rom I dont use it as default because it didn't fully support Porttrait/Landscape... hmm.. hopes we'll find a better driver...

I still believe broadcomm handle BTA2DP much more better then MS stack.. hopes I hv time to explore the Broadcomm again..

Molski's 3.0.0.0 AKU 3.2 Rom software issues

Folks lets try to get a listing of software that you may belive that causes problems with Molski's Rom. I think this will be benifical for newer users to be able to go to one place and see all of the software that we have experienced problems with so they do not have to.
If at all possible for every program that we list as a problem I would like to have an alternative.
From my experience.....
O2 sms plus (for mass sms messages) causes a problem with the native SMS software. It has been known to prevent you from reciving or send sms messages. I am currently hunting for another program but I have not had any luck.
Thanks to all the Chefs that keep us in some great ROMs, keep em comming!

I think we all know SPB time does not work...and man if you install it just go ahead and do a hard reset.
SPB time is one of my FAVORITES but if you want to keep the rom do not install it.
After installing my 8125 got so hung up I couldn't even do a hard reset...I had to reflash from bootloader.

pocketbreeze does the same thing

Not running any other software, only what came default with Molski's ROM.
I hate when I need to Add recipient manually every time I start writing SMS's.
Second big issue for me is, that I cant get QWERTZ-keyboard to work with this ROM. I'm finnish, so I need to use scandinavian letters alot almost in every SMS.
My plans for year 2007 are open, so calendar aint so big deal - but i'm still using latest Active Sync and still cant get it to syncronize past meetings.

I encountered problems with clock and date resetting after every time while takeing out battery. Also device stops responding randomly after some time of working in standby mode and nothing except taking battery out is making it to soft reset. But the second problem might be caused by programs I'm using... Do you have similar problems?

Try going through the whole cid unlocking again and use the tmobile 2.26 rom then install Molski's rom again. Let me know what happens.

I have had this happen with the time and date going back to June 7th once I took the battery. I don't take the battery normaly so I just reset the time. Why is this a problem?
The system lockup is most likely software related, but what other software are you running. If possible I would try to reflash the Rom and install spb backup and backup after you install all the software that comes with the Rom that you use. Then install each additional software and due what you would normaly due when it locks up. If it works then backup again and so on and so on till you narrow the problem down.
This is what I do and it works for me but if there is an easier way that someone knows of please let us know.
This is the whole reason that I started this thread so we can learn from each others problems.

I must say its amazing but I am having problems it keeps turning on by its self when I put it in suspend and the battery dies very fast and the phone book wont let me look up any names that start with V. Can you guys help me out with some advice?

For "Sun'n'moon" application, you can replace by "WeatherPanel" (www.marsware.net) very powerfull.
On my Wizard, 2 problems:
- Prssreader is not compatible with AKU3.2, when installed the phone boot crash.
Today, I don't have found better or equal rss reader software: --> please help me if you know better!!!!

Molski's Rom is very fast when booting and is not too tunned! (good!!!). Thanks Molski for your work!!!

1) no pRssReader. the today plugin causes a reboot. no big deal. must be badly written sw.

Dude you must learn to use the search this issue has been addressed by others. Go the Main Molski 3.0.0.0 thread and look in there. If you still cant find it email me and I will help you the best I can.

I haven't used the prssreader as of yet but this also came up with Jose's AKU3.2 rom. We have to see what the gods sugest on that one.
Can you take a screen shot so I can see what your talking about?
Its the weekend so I will be working in my nite life bussiness so give me a few days. to respond. Or see if someone else can help as well.

I've attached a copy of Qmail. It handles RSS feeds nicely. It will also handle email. Basically, its a Japanese version of Outlook Express. Good thing is that the program is written in English. But, there is NO documentation in English. You'll have to figure out how to make it work on your own.
There is not setup. Just unzip it and copy it to your storage card. Then just run the "q3u.exe" program.

Can not use slide-out keyboard for cyrillic characters

The rom is great! Molski, Faria - thank you very much.
The biggest problem for me is that I can not type Cyrillic characters using the slide-out keyboard. The standard way to set it up (by setting \\HKCU\ControlPanel\Keybd\Locale) - does not work with this ROM.
Any suggestions would be very appreciated.

Do you get back you backup by SPB Backup? The backuping programs sometimes damage devices GSM. Tray Hard reset and than it will be IMHO OK
I dont belive, that that ROM is such unusefull like you write.

Howdy. I just want to make sure I read this correctly. So, you have T-Mobile (from your profile) and Molski's ROM 3.0.0.0 and you have not lost -any- calls/VM Notifications at all? I mean, it took me a few days to realize I was missing calls (when people started complaining at me thinking I was screening).
I am in Cingular, and if you are not missing calls (please, try to make sure as accurately as you can...) do report back, as this would be a huge pointer and there are quite a few of us stuck with this awesome ROM.
[btw: I LOVE this ROM and have no plans to go back... we all just need to figure this one out]

Voice Command 1.5
Cant say if it was directly related to the ROM, but Voice Command 1.5 would work for all but contacts and phone. If Contacts or Phone were enabled, VC 1.5 would fail to start.
Upgrade to VC 1.6 solved problem, and 1.6 is waaay better anyway.

This is a compatability issue due to the fact that the Contacts Database was changed in AKU 3.x

Play Music in standby with ItsBlack Rom??

Hi,
I switched from TOUCH-IT v4 to the Black rom because of the speed. And I noticed something...
I cannot play music with the Homeplug when phone is in standby (press once on powerButton)
And in the V4 it can....Strange but true i know
Is there a way to get that function in ItsBlack rom?
And another question....When I install the HTC Home Kaiser Version. The music Plugin opens the WMP instead of Music Manager.
Is this also possible to do with ItsBlack Rom???

Are you sure were able to do that before? Placing the phone on standby kills any and all media items on every rom on every device I have ever seen. If somehow your phone did work, reinstall it and verify it!! I want a dump of your registry. I MUST have the solution!
As far as the plugin goes, it's a simple registry key. I just don't have it in front of me to tell you what it is.

yes im am 100% sure with the previous rom...I could let music play (HTC home)
And press the powerbutton once...
And music still plays on.
PS if you have MSN add me

I have tested a few of my roms and i have found that TNT 1933 some how allows music to be played while in standby mode.... im not sure how it does it either cause jaguar 4.0 which i just switched from couldnt but i remembered tnt did so i tried that and sure enuf its working on one rom but not the other... tested and confirmed to be working on tnt 1933 pro
i believe it worked on ANTC as well but have to reconfirm tomorrow...
id really like to know how to do this on all roms if anyone can help pls let me know what info u might need..

for all others: tnt,antc and jaguar are WIZARD roms. but they sem to act like touchit4.4

I can confirm that the Playback works on:
TOUCH-IT v4.4 Stuffed
OpenTouch Biggy
Right now with a little help from papamopps, i'm trying to figure out how this is done.
I will post some updates after the a week or so.
But then again...If Itjes new upcomming rom does this to. Then i will not even bother try to figure it out.

Yeah that's what i tought

from what i have seen from the touch it series, using WMP to play ur audio and then dropping it into stand-by mode doesn't work... but using the HTC audio manager that program does allow you to be in stand by and still have music. it was an issue i was having, because i wanted to play music but not have a dim backlight on that was killing my battery more so then what was needed. so try using HTC over WMP and see if that works out for you.

Nope that did not work...
It's something about those two roms that creates this function in my Herald.
Because the Black Rom does not.
So yeah. But I dont bother. I'm pretty sure the new upcoming rom by Itje has this function
