Battery drain on connmgr - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

@night TyTN II drains battery totaly
i use my cell also for alarm, when the battery is near to 3% i get the annoying message to charge. The evenig before i charge it for 99%.
When i try to stop the sound at night the TyTN II is stuck on my connmgr.exe (looking in proccess with memmaid)
only a soft reset fix this problem (not funny @ 3am)
This can't be normal that every night the battery goes empty.
I have it for 4 days and every night same crap
Anyone else have the same problem and maybe knows how to fix it ??
otherwise i send it back to HTC
TIA

Is this normal?

Hi guys,
Recently installed GPRS monitor that came with HTC tytn II... and on the main screen theres a little indicator telling you your battery life...
Mine reaches a maximum of 3:00... 3 hours?! is this normal????
can anyone shed light on this?
I usually have the phone connect to a laptop so I am not sure what my battery life is...
Joe
Mines starts with 1.5 hours but last few days......dont know why but this spb gprs monitor (the version that came with my o2 Stellar) used to work great, for some reason it does not work anymore......well the battery life indication bit any ways....
battery life is only an estimate when used in optimum conditions with only standard usage so i wouldnt worry about it too much unless you notice it drain as fast as it states
i think i read somewhere in the kaiser forum that sometimes with gps reciever turned on there is some abnormal battery power drainage .. Other day i was using google maps with gps turned on and my battery went from 100 to 25% in half an hour .. yikes. However haven't had it happen using yesterday and this morning. Battery at 80% currently no charge.
hope this helps shed some light.
peace,
sire

Tilt Battery Issue

Has anyone experiencing a massive battery drop after using tomtom? After using tomtom I closed it and it appeared to be on the bottom of my screen.. after clicking on it.. it bring up the navigator title at the top with the today screen.. and wouldn't shut down.. after i soft resetted it.. the battery dropped from 60% to nearly 15%
Has anybody experienced this?
Yes, using the GPS is a known battery drain issue, there is nothing to do reduce battery drain while GPS is running.

when i use mine in the car I just plug it in to reduce battery drain
seriously though yes the battery drains fast with GPS, but I've also noticed it drains fast when using my phone as an MP3 player... I was using it friday with full charge and only got about 6 hours out of it
thanks for the quick responses.. but this was a period of maybe 20 minutes.. seemed to me like a glitch or something..
the tomtom icon appeared at the bottom right hand corner.. and whenever i tried accessing it.. it wouldnt come up.. the light wasnt flashing amber either..
GPS, as suggested by This thread, is one of the problems.
I find that 3G eats up battery. Forcing your phone to disconnect with 3G after a length of certain minutes can save your battery when your note using 3G.

[Q] Unreliable Battery!

Hi
I have noticed when I soft reset my phone the battery drops anywere from 5% up to about 70%! It varies from rom to rom. If i plug it in and softreset it a couple of times the battery goes up to around what it use to be. If it makes a difference I flash roms alot and don't usually install to many applications.
Is this normal at all or is my battery faulty? It's only about 8 months old.
Any ideas? Tips I could try?
Thanks
Imran
you know, i have the same problem when installing, touch x legendary rom, battery is about 96,96% but when i install that rom, battery drops down to 8,7%, i just plug in power for second, and battery jumps to 98%, and then all working fine...
The way phones and other devices display their state of charge (%) isn't always accurate, hence why it jumps back up 5% after plugging it in. I don't think your battery is unreliable, it's just reporting the wrong percent of charge...
I see. Mine is more like 50% so I guess mine is just really wrong! any ideas for fixing this?
Also i have the typical xperia x1 problem were it thinks the headphones are plugged in for the last 4 days. I have plugging and unplugging the headphones in heaps but it doesn't seem to work
Thanks
I have the same problem.
Phone has one year and 8 months.
Wine phone or battery?
I just got exact problem this morning
I agree with comment above, I think it just battery indicator not accurately represented battery state.
I also noticed the problem happened when I get my phone idle for a while
I was just going to start a new thread about this kind of thing. My phone's original battery has run out at anywhere between 0 and 30%... it tends to go for a couple of days if I don't use the phone much. I've tried recalibration and it doesn't really help. I thought that was bad, but I just bought a backup battery and it's even worse... yesterday it went from 100 to 50% over half a day on standby, then I used it for about ten minutes and it just went off! At 50%!
I was only expecting rubbish life from the cheap battery but at least report the charge properly so I have a chance! Old phones could always do it... why can't one that cost hundreds of pounds when it was new?
I take it there's nothing you can really do?

I've been having the same issue.
i have this phone 1 year now and i had the same problem few days ago...im not a heavy user,so the phone usually lasted for 2 days of normal usage...but few days ago after i charged it, the phone lasted like 8-9 hours and Android OS was eating my battery 68%, keeping my phone awake all the time...
so i left the phone to completely dry up the battery until it shut down itself...then when i connected to the charger even more strange thing happened, the phone recognized that it is charging (as usual), but the screen was kinda blinking green lights all over the screen (there was no battery icon) and the phone started itself (i didnt even touch the power button)....after it started itself i shut it down and left it to charge up....after full charge i powered the phone and it is working normally for now....
so,i dont know if this gonna help you at all, but try leaving your phone to use all the battery until it shuts down itself and recharge it, after full charge power it up and see if it gets back to normal
cheers

Question Battery drain issue

Hi there, are u guys having battery drain when reach 20%? Like down 1% per second when 20% or lower. I did hard reset but the problem persist.
yes, drains pretty fast even before I could connect to charger it shuts down.
when battery remains around 5 % ,message gets displayed that phone is going to shut down in 30 seconds, like that.
To get automatic call recording I got Indonesian rom flashed in Indian model. I was thinking battery drain might be because of that.
