any working java midlet manager? i've installed tao's and jbed but no success.
risidoro's tao intent MIDlet Manager 11.1.7.1034 (not 1036) and IBM J9 are working nicely. I switched from J9 to Intent because Opera Mini 4 Beta 2 was not stable in J9 for me.
Tao Intent
i can't find the link to IBM's midlet manager right now...
Doubled. Currently Intent 11.1.7.1034 is the best (although I prefer a version by dFine, it has some fixes).

Where can I have the version by dFine?
11.1.7.1034 by dFine, edited by risidoro
11.1.7.1036 - can be installed on SD card (I didn't test it)

is this the rite version of flash to use coz its not working
i tried 2.1 and it doesnt work so then i instaled the other flash for ppc and ot works but then shutopera down anyone know why
flash doesnt work on 9.5...there was a thread about someone trying to get it to work but there findings (a cab) were never posted..your best bet is skyfire...it loads any flash as long as it isnt in a pop up window..but you have to sign up and wait like 3 or 4 months for the beta lol. Opera 9.5 was designed around flash lite 3 and flash lite 3 isnt supported on windows mobile only symbian
yeah adobe and freestylwm.com says its coming though
The browser will be integrating FL3. Then it will work.
FP7 will work, but you need to manually set up the config ini file to use it as a plugin. The reason I never posted it was because it is just too choppy & I knew a few new version would be coming out, not to mention that it's designed to be installed with FL3 plugin, which cannot be found for WM yet.

Gsleon3,
Can you tell us how to manually set up or what lines we need add to the config ini or opera.ini file to use FP7 as a plugin in opera 9.5.
Thanks
I know several people have been looking for the latest Jbed build in Cab format.
Extracted from the latest Kaiser Rom and cabbed.
Enjoy.
Updated the cab so it can be installed to Storage Cards.

I hit the red button then reactivate the jbed app. Normally I only use Operamini in the jbed and having a key bound to launch makes it painless. The older cloudy version didnt have that issue btw
Thkx very much for the cab
thank you I will try it on my Touch tonight. I need it to have operamini working.

As my experience, the builds in the past also have this issue. If you want to control the Java applicatins again, resume the Jbed program several times.

Same problem with this version and 20080222.3.1 on my Hermes. I installed it to the Storage Card. Not sure if that is the cause or not.
But the good news is, this problem does not happen with the older version 20070802.2.1. This version can only be installed to Device storage.
I updated the cab so it can be installed anywhere.
Are there any benefits in using this version over the older versions that do not cease to respond after app switching? Or is this simply for people who love cutting edge builds?

I just downloaded the cab file and if I am correct, there are some errors in it. Some of the registry entries put /windows/jbed.exe as path where it should be relative to the installation path.
Anyway it is not working on my SPV M600 (QTek S200 by Orange). After installation, each time I try to open a .jad or .jar file I receive an error "corrupted file"... I tried with Gmail and Opera mini.
Stephane
I just tried it on my stock AT&T Tilt ROM - both Gmail and Opera Mini 4.1 receive errors...
Is there any way to use this version on a WM 2003 device ??
It doesn' take the right browser options, that are needed to install games.
It does seem to work,
but even when installed on the memory card it does not allow me to install large applications because it seems to count the phone memory.
(tried to install a 69MB navigation map)
finally
thanx, was scouring threads all night for this cab; i can finally go to sleep...ZZZZZ
I need Help with Jbed, Opera Mini for touch pro!!!
I am trying to figure out where and how I can download jbed and Opera Mini to my Sprint touch pro so I can have faster Internet service. Any experts out there that can help??? Please, please please...
Hi,
I have a long time problem with some of the ROMs here that I really like. My main problem is running Viigo. Some ROMs can run the application fine, but the others can't. I found out by accident that Viigo requires NETCFv2, and is not compatible with NETCF3.5. The ROM I was testing got only v2, not v3.5. I found that out because Advance Config 3.3 will not run on the ROM because NETCF 3.5 is missing. But Viigo runs fine on that ROM.
As a lot of people know, if NETCFv3.5 is cooked in the ROM, then installing NETCFv2 through cab will not work, at least to my knowledge. So I'd like to know, if there's way to resolve this problem? Thanks in advance for any contribution to resolve this problem. Thanks.

doesn't directly help your problem, but one rom I tried lately had no NetCF installed (AthineOS latest maybe?). I only know that because I installed Advanced Config and it camne up with the error. Unless someone comes up with a solution for you, maybe that rom is worth a look.

Thanks for your suggestion. But I've tried some ROMs that will run Viigo, so I know it's possible to run Viigo under WM 6.5.x. I just want to have a way to tackle the problem so I can explore more ROMs. So far I've bumped into some sexy ROMs but can't run Viigo, so I have to give up on them, including the Energy ROMs.
BTW, I think the ROM gave you problem with Advance Config might come with NETCFv2 only, not NETCF3.5. I don't know any ROM comes with no NETCF at all.
Is there any .NET guru out there can help us (or only me) out here? I've seen applications not working not only because of absence of NETCFv2, but also newer version of NETCFv3.5. For example, JVH3 Weather City Editor will not work on some ROMs with newer NETCFv3.5. Anybody can enlighten us (or just me) how to fix the NETCF compatibility problems? Thanks.

Thanks a lot. I gave the tool a try, but it didn't help. I did soft reset after I made the change. Let me play with it a bit more. Thanks.

The usual way to use this would be to install the latest version of the framework, and configure seperate applications (in the Application tab of the config utility) if they need a specific vesion of the framework.
Hello.
I have my Xperia X1i with stock ROM R3AA010; this ROM cames with Opera 9.5, and I´m thinking on upgrading it to Opera 10. But there is no way to uninstall Opera 9.5 in "Remove Software".
Is it necesary to uninstall the old ROM Opera 9.5, or I have just to install the new Opera 10, and it will safely overwrite the old version ?
By the way: is Opera 10 faster/better than Opera 9.5 ?
Thank you very much.
hi,
I've installed opera10 and it looks and works better without stylus, more compatible with some sites. It's independent from 9.5.
I think you have to change rom to be able to remove 9.5.
..I think youtube won't work without extra hacking.
Opera 10 is way better than anything that came before it. But some people may disagree and I express my personal opinion only.
Whatever comes with the ROM cannot be uninstalled, unless added to be removed by the developer. You can install Opera 10, make it a default browser and point whatever shortcuts to it while still having Opera 9.5. Only versions installed by you will be overwritten by subsequent version installations, but not the ones that are already there inbuilt so to speak.
As an example, I am using NUTS version that came with Opera 9.5, I prefer 10, so installed 10. However, the 9.5 is removable, so I just removed it and love the NUTS forever more, hehe. Youtube also works fantastically well, nothing extra is required.
Hi,
I am on stock, and have both versions installed.
You have two icons, and thats that ;(.
Thank you everybody for your help.
I will install Opera 10 and try it, keeping both versions installed.
Opera 9.5 and 10 will coexist.
You cannot upgrade 9.5.

You can, provided you were the one to install it in the first place.
It is not possible to delete every file that belongs to Opera 9.5 since there are some files in the rom section where you cannot delete any files at all. For example there is a .cab file that is used to install opera 9.5 on first startup. But it is definitely possible to delete all the files that belong to the installation of opera 9.5. You can either do it manually vià file explorer or by using a program like sk tools which searches the files that are related to the Opera 9.5 installation and lets you delete them. By doing so you save some MB of device memory which can't be a bad thing if you are sure that you are never going to use Opera 9.5 again.

Yes I was first probably
What I meant is if you load and install Opera Mobile 10,
it will NOT replace 9.5 which stays on device.
The same was with 9.7...
Here you go! I pulled this out of the Verizon Market and it works great on my Captivate.
Enjoy!
coolbeans. Though what does bing offer D: ?

I couldn't get it to work using the Android Central Sideloader.
