hello;
I was on ebay, and see what I saw!!

Someone sales the Faman's work.
You can help by reporting him to eBay as selling copyright material. I did that to a few US eBay sellers selling cooked ROM (and they remove the account).. but fail to do so on some Australia eBay sellers. Anyway, you can try if the French one works.

Hi guys, just wanted to make everybody aware that there is a scammer on Ebay selling QTEK branded phones.
I tried to purchase a QTEK 9100 on ebay about 3 weeks ago and ended the sale with "Buy It Now" and made an instant payment with Papal. Haven't received any goods so I have had to file a claim with Paypal as he doesnt respond to messages. His ID is michele9198 so beware if this seller. Stung me for £225.
Spread the word guys
Regards.
have you reported it to ebay and paypal?
Loads of them about...
@mav... Sorry to hear about that...
Guys there are plenty of these scammers about, just do a search on ebay for an Eten G500...
You'll find a number of them available from users in China & Ireland at great prices, and all the sellers have 10+ positive feedback... and they are all SCAMS!!!!
The best way to check if these are legit is to actually check the Items they have received feedback for... click on their Feedback Score, Click on an Item ID and you'll generally find that there is no real item there, just a load of gobbledigook and many of the users that left the feedback are 'No Longer Active'...
In short, be very careful (read: paranoid) when using ebay, and even more so when buying underpriced 'too good to be true' gadgetry...
Re: Loads of them about...
in some CHinese EBAY shops or some small shops often they sell things which are not 100% legal cause they havent passed QC check in the factory (that s the reason of the super prices) of course usually those PPC are fixed up but it can happen like my case some small things...My qtek is QWERTZ and not QWERTY keyboard and it came with english sys so there was the problem of Y and Z fixed by reg hacking.... some of them had touch screen messed up but I have fixed for 200 CNY something like 20USD....so in some cases those PPC are really for sale but dnt expect them to be perfect!
just to let you know
I like to buy from them cause i can get a better price and it need maybe a little work to fix em uo

Hi does anyone have either a UK Seller of the NOOKColor, or a site that will ship or even a person feeling generous to ship one out to the UK?
Anyone in the UK got one they are willing to sell second hand?
Many thanks
Hopefully hear off someone soon!
Try Amazon.com and look for "international shipping" in the seller information.
purelygadgets.co.uk/NOOK-Color/mainproduct/view/33850-NA/10 may have to pay shipping charge £245.99
I got mine from eBay, and it cost me £200 with shipping.
I'll most likely be selling mine when the Xoom is released over here. If you're still looking for one by then let me know!

the other thread wasn't much use to me since it doesn't list any official channels (there really isn't any). I got myself one in february though. Ordered one from Amazon US, the UK one doesn't carry it.
there are a few resellers on amazon US, i tried one that shipped internationally but when time came to pay (with a British credit card), i faced the message due to licensing restrictions the product can't be shipped internationally.
for some reason, i decided to try my luck again with another reseller, Blueproton on amazon US. this time it worked. their dispatch was ultra quick, though fedex did screw up a bit. long story short, you can try to buy from blueproton on amazon US. Cost in total was about £232 if i remember right, including 25 for shipping (i used expedited though).

It looks like an original, but can't really say if it really is. Why don't you buy one from store.google.com. I can't find the link, but I have seen a link for European site.
They dont sell to my country
If anyone is interestered, I ordered a genuine EU charger adapter in my local LG customer service shop as mine came with UK type; its 34.90€ italian taxes included (22%).
So the one in the ebay auction, considering shipping costs, is not so cheap.
Mine shows MCS-N04WR. This is the USA version.
Hello XDA Users!
Can You please tell me:
Where to buy Xiaomi Mi8?
I've heard that the lowest price I would get on Aliexpress but I never bought anything from that site.
Is is a good idea? What to look out for?
Buy only from MI official sellers? How about tax and other things when shipping to EU?
I don't know much about the taxes charged in the EU, but I purchased a white 6/64gb mi 8 from Joybuy for 361$ including shipping which im pretty sure is the lowest you'll find right now. They accept paypal so that adds a little bit of peace of mind.
I bought my SE on Honorbuy since it was the lowest price I could find that provided EU shipping. You only pay for the phone and there's no tax bs.
https://www.honorbuy.com/237-xiaomi-mi-8
You can get a Mi 8 there for 410 € in total ( including DHL shipping which means the phone should come to you within 3 days ) .
But if anyone knows of a better choice for EU residents, please do mention it.

Yeah, on THIS SELLER
it would cost 450 USD which translates into 390 Euros. That's with the DHL Shipping ( which you must select if you don't want to be assf%cked by customs and tax ) . This is the cheapest as far as I can see.
I've heard a rumor that it's good to have./buy an (extra) insurance (?) as that would prevent customs and tax and choose shipment from China to UK and than from UK to other EU country (that way we avoid paying Value Added Tax cause its a internal EUnion trade).
I ask again as I'm a complete Aliexpress noob - what are the basic things that I should avoid when buying stuff there? I don't want to loose a big amount of money by making some well known by Aliexpres users cardinal mistake.

Read the description of the product ( they often tell you which shipping method to pick to avoid customs ), check the feedback and see how many orders the product has ( sellers should be more experienced if they processed more orders and if the feedback to the product and the seller are great ) .
Sellers are nowadays pretty great, it's the buyers who are mostly idiots who don't bother to read what the seller wrote and fail to choose properly/fail to give proper shipping info and then say things like " Hur hur, Aliexpress sucks, it's a scam".
I order pretty much everything I can from Aliexpress (mechanical keyboards, cases, mice, headphones, etc. ) and even when the product didn't arrive ( one time ), I got a refund.
I can't guarantee that every seller is perfect but you can always send the message to the seller and ask them in PROPER AND EASY TO READ ENGLISH ( they're Chinese, don't write complex essays and expect 100% of it being understood ) and they will give you all the info you need.
It's in their interest to sell and to have a customer which will post positive feedback.
I know I sound patronizing but buyers on Aliexpress are most often retarded and blame the sellers for it.
I'm honestly more hesitant when it comes to ordering from eBay than from Aliexpress.

Because a lot of good deals say " the seller doesn't ship to your country" , meaning I have to contact the seller and wait a ton for them to reply if they even ship to Croatia ( which is in EU but I still have to ask for some reason ) , let alone to know if the shipping isn't too high ( it's interesting how you have to pay more for shipping within the EU than from China to EU but whatever ).
On Aliexpress you have all the info in front of you and you can choose various shipping methods. Everything is automated in places where it should be.
