Sorry - but can´t you delete it simply??
For me it works with all .ink in the startup folder - that i don´t need.
if you simply delete the .lnk while the program is running it will re-create the .lnk, you have to get a task manager that shows the hidden processes and kill both instances myfav and then delete the shortcut ........................ and that should do it

worked like a charm, thank you.
Or you can run this little cab, it will give you an error on boot that the application does not exist. then you can delete the link out of your startup folder. Easy as pie.....

Open file explorer, go to My Device, then go to windows>start menu>programs, and delete it from here. the 'program files' is a different area.
Note: using the remove programs (settings > system > remove programs) option would have probably done this all for you.

Thanx. I jus removed it through the 1st option u mentioned.
And i did actually use the remove programs option 1st but the icon still remained
This is common when you rearrange your start menu... since the start menu .ink file is not in it's original location.. the remove program option won't take out the link

The programs in start menu are all placed here. Use Fx. TotalCommander to delete them.
/Windows/Start Menu/Programs
Thanks! Solved it...

If they are in the start menu, then they are not in Program by default. You can probably copy the shortcut from:
\Windows\Start Menu\
to:
\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\

I use Total Commander. Theres an option on the "File" menu under >>>>>
In File Explorer, Copy the exe and then do Menu, Edit, Paste Shortcut and rename it.
Thanks
Dave
Or if you are lucky some nice person might come along and feel sorry for you and generously give you the answer.
Still lurking, Dave.

I have to translate to English, but in your Explorer it should be like:
Mobile Device - My windows mobile-based device - Windows ...
that doesnt show all the files though

can you pls add an example? after a very quick see-through I'm inclined to disagree
maybe you should check the following setting in your windows explorer:
Tools - Folder Options... - View (tab) - Files and Folders - Display xxx... option settings, maybe something required is unchecked there

it only says..."move to top"
There must be a shortcut (.lnk file) in:
Windows\Start menu
You must delete it and make a soft reset.
