it only says..."move to top"

There must be a shortcut (.lnk file) in:
Windows\Start menu
You must delete it and make a soft reset.

Sorry - but can´t you delete it simply??
For me it works with all .ink in the startup folder - that i don´t need.
if you simply delete the .lnk while the program is running it will re-create the .lnk, you have to get a task manager that shows the hidden processes and kill both instances myfav and then delete the shortcut ........................ and that should do it

worked like a charm, thank you.
Or you can run this little cab, it will give you an error on boot that the application does not exist. then you can delete the link out of your startup folder. Easy as pie.....

Removing Program/Removing Icon

Open file explorer, go to My Device, then go to windows>start menu>programs, and delete it from here. the 'program files' is a different area.
Note: using the remove programs (settings > system > remove programs) option would have probably done this all for you.

Thanx. I jus removed it through the 1st option u mentioned.
And i did actually use the remove programs option 1st but the icon still remained
This is common when you rearrange your start menu... since the start menu .ink file is not in it's original location.. the remove program option won't take out the link

If they are in the start menu, then they are not in Program by default. You can probably copy the shortcut from:
\Windows\Start Menu\
to:
\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\

I use Total Commander. Theres an option on the "File" menu under >>>>>
In File Explorer, Copy the exe and then do Menu, Edit, Paste Shortcut and rename it.
Thanks
Dave
Or if you are lucky some nice person might come along and feel sorry for you and generously give you the answer.
Still lurking, Dave.

how to create shortcut to tomtom?

Hi guys,
I have tomtom navigator installed to storage card but cannot create a shortcut on the today screen either through easytodaylauncher or spb ms3.5.
I got through the usual steps to create a shortcut but tomtom is not there.
to open tomtom I have to go to storagecard/navigator and select the .exe file for it to run.
I have tried copying the .exe file onto the device in to programfiles with no joy.
Please could someone with better intellegence than me tell me how to do it?
Thank you for reading.
Use total commander to create a shortcut to \windows\Start menu\Programs
I also got it at Storage card. Dunno if it will show up at easytodaylauncher and spb ms3.5 but i think so.
Tap and hold .exe file, select Edit > Copy, then navigate to windows/start menu/programs and tap menu and then select Edit > Paste Shortcut. Come out of the folder, go back in and there should be "Shortcut to TomTom..", rename.
Please elaborate on your problem. Does the shortcut appear in the file explorer?

Quick Links from SD Card?

I have searched around a bit, but I can't seem to find a solution for this.
I have a Garmin GPS/North American Maps on a SD card, and I can't seem to find a way to make the QuePPS show up under Programs for the sake of having a Quick Link to it.
Is this possible? Sorry if this is an easy solution and me being a dummy missed something basic.

Find the executable wherever it is installed. On the SD card, they usually install to \Storage Card\Program Files\. Tap and hold on the executable and select "copy." Navigate then to \Windows\Start Menu\Programs\ and tap "Menu > Edit > Paste shortcut." There you have it.

Thanks for the help. Actually, doing it that way copies the .exe to the Start Menu, and the problem is that the maps files can't be accessed from there.
What DID work is:
Tap and hold on the executable and select "Add to Start Menu".
Thanks again.

It copied the *exe because you didn't follow the instruction properly. I said to select "paste shortcut" not "paste."

I did not mean to offend you. I only mentioned it so you would know your error in case you tried the same thing in the future.I made an mistake in my reply anyway. I should have said "paste" instead of "copy." When you select paste, the system creates an exact copy of the file. When you select paste shortcut, on the other hand, it creates a link file to the original one. This was what we were going for.
Also, I would like to point out that this is a development forum, not a "help" forum. Users such as myself provide support to new users where we can, but this site is not meant for support or troubleshooting.
Again, I'm not trying to offend you, only explain.
