Hmm... they talk about windows mobile 7... maybe it has Deepfish browser technology in it?
Happy happy joy joy!
I would love to be able to use GP on my kaiser. When this comes I could write some code to let people add a location based upon where the Kaiser GPS is reading.
I love how one news site merely echoes another news site which echoes its source.. Word for word as well. Whatever happened to journalism?
Why not just post the original source article and save people jumping through hoops? http://msmobiles.com/news.php/6767.html

You could .. except Opera9 is beginning to look like vaporware.
I would guess that HTC has brought a licence to Wake3?

We know it's coming. Any Joe who browses this site knows it's coming. Do you have to keep on posting about it? You have already posted in other threads already.
If your intention is to legalize the posting of cooked WM6 ROM in this forum, it won't work. Betanews displayed of some screen shots didn't mean anything. He could have gotten the pre-release Orwell ROM just like every Joe here.
Unless you can get an official announcement from HTC or MS that WM6 CB will be released for the Wizard there is nothing new.

Why do you think its stale. Microsoft just did the demo 2 days ago....
I think he means what is currently on the frontpage is stale.
Did anyone view the WM6 Introduction Presentation Video? They presented the WM6 on a smartphone. By the way Softbank is coming up with a Toshiba Protege PPC. The keyboard, general look etc looks like HTC's. hmmm... Wonder if it produced by HTC for Toshiba.
I just tried the Ultimate Search app and wasn't to impressed. I would like an all-in-one app for searching. Similar to, oh crap I forgot the name of it, an app that was on my treo 700wx where I could search movies, resteraunts, etc... Would also like a quick "google" search. Any suggestions?
I did search!
Windows Live Search does a lot of that. It's a great app.
Or Google Maps. Or use Opera Mini browser, then you can use Google in all its glory.
Or there's even a Yahoo Mobile beta, that works OK for me.

I have to second this recommendation. It hasn't failed me yet and you can even check gas prices in the area with it.

I gues I can live without that as it would only depress me to see US gas prices. We pay just over £1 ($2) PER LITRE now and most of that is tax!

And the GPS makes it even better. I love searching for things that are near wherever I happen to be.
Thanks for all the input and replies. Since I have my own thread I can ask where do I download windows live? Also, what else are you guys using it for? One more, do most of you use Opera mini and what are the differences?
Thanks, I know they are total noob questions but I get tired of reading and searching sometimes.
Thanks again.

I use LiveSearch for mapping, directions, phone & address lookup, store & restaurant seaches, etc.
I use both PIE and Opera Mini. I like PIE for mobile enhanced websites (e.g. ESPN for scores) but for regular websites Opera Mini has it beat hands down with its scrolling and zooming features (that work nicely with TouchFlo).

Works only with vista?
Please note that it works only with a Bluetooth connection...
I can;t instal when i select slide show on bluetooth service run instal Bluetooth Peripheral Device and can't instal what;s up i haven got driver?I have htc kaiser
Here you have both drivers for Vista x36 and 64-bits. You have to unzip (or uncab) the file to a folder, and tell Vista to search there the drivers.
I found the info from: http://forums.microsoft.com/msdn/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=3435304&SiteID=1
Hmm trying them here on server 2008 x64 and seem to not work there either...
Sideshow is not part of Server 2008 "Features or Roles" this will only work on a vista based OS 32 or 64 and any version. new beta should be with us mid to end next week.

Well thats a mistake then. Windows SideShow is Vista only. It would be rediculous to have it available on Windows Server 2008. SideShow is intended for things like viewing your email, getting the weather, viewing pictures etc - it has no place on a Server OS.
I heard/read somewhere that the Diamond can read an business card photo and then translate it into a new contact. Has anyone got this to work, or can confirm this is the case ....
I don't think its in the current ROM. Maybe email HTC and ask them. It would be good to know if maybe we're missing some menu option, or if its planned in an update. And when we might get that update!
this was mentioned in the utube vids i watched at the HTC presentation...
Have you searched the forums (Kaiser) & wiki for WorldCard Reader?

Hi, I don't have WorldCard software on the CD coming with my HTC Touch Diamond...

here you can download the trial version...
http://store.penpowerinc.com/mobile.html
maybe you can mail HTC for your serial number...
You have a CD with the manual... it's on the same CD.
Yes; it is on the CD. WordlCard Mobile is the name of the app, and I just used it today... It worked PERFECTLY...
Well, I have a TMO branded Diamond (MDA Compact IV) which doesn't have WorldCard. Is the version on the CD somehow bound to the device? If so someone could possibly upload it legally. It's in the Kaiser ROMs anyway (I own a Kaiser with WorldCard by the way, but that version doesn't seem to run on my Diamond...)
Thoughts?
world card
true, i also miss the worldcard app, can anyone post it ?
Could someone post this version?

Hi, two months ( ) after sending a request to the HTC Customer Service, I have finally received an answer from HTC:
Hello,
Thank you for your email to HTC support.
Unfortunatly the worldcard mobile mentioned in your manual is a miss print. it is only available in some parts of the world.

World card reader, tried that on my Diamond, what a complete load of rubbish...
takes the picture ok, translates terribly, its quicker to input five cards manually than try this on one...

I've been searching for a Shop Savvy-like program for WM and am getting nowhere. Does anyone know if one has been made, and if so, point me in the right direction?
like the shopping channel on your kaiser? ha, no my friend never even heard of such a thing
spb online is the only one i can think of
Shop Savvy is a program for the G1 (aka Google Android). It scans barcodes with the camera, and checks prices and compares them between different stores.

Thanks for the tip, I will try it out.
Edit: Seems it is a 2d barcode reader. I need something that will read 1d barcodes. Nice try though.
Diddo, would love to see a wicked proggy like this one. Let's keep our eyes out.

WWW.fastpricecheck.com You have to manually type in bar code #'s, but it works.
here's the app you're looking for: http://www.fuzemobility.com/snap-a-photo-of-a-barcode-and-automatically-compare-prices-online/
Why did you link away from xda?
