I just tried the Ultimate Search app and wasn't to impressed. I would like an all-in-one app for searching. Similar to, oh crap I forgot the name of it, an app that was on my treo 700wx where I could search movies, resteraunts, etc... Would also like a quick "google" search. Any suggestions?
I did search!
Windows Live Search does a lot of that. It's a great app.
Or Google Maps. Or use Opera Mini browser, then you can use Google in all its glory.
Or there's even a Yahoo Mobile beta, that works OK for me.

I have to second this recommendation. It hasn't failed me yet and you can even check gas prices in the area with it.

I gues I can live without that as it would only depress me to see US gas prices. We pay just over £1 ($2) PER LITRE now and most of that is tax!

And the GPS makes it even better. I love searching for things that are near wherever I happen to be.
Thanks for all the input and replies. Since I have my own thread I can ask where do I download windows live? Also, what else are you guys using it for? One more, do most of you use Opera mini and what are the differences?
Thanks, I know they are total noob questions but I get tired of reading and searching sometimes.
Thanks again.

I use LiveSearch for mapping, directions, phone & address lookup, store & restaurant seaches, etc.
I use both PIE and Opera Mini. I like PIE for mobile enhanced websites (e.g. ESPN for scores) but for regular websites Opera Mini has it beat hands down with its scrolling and zooming features (that work nicely with TouchFlo).

Hi All,
Does anyone have an app that lets you view the timetable for the Euro '08 football's team playing or something I can sync to my calendar and put a reminder on.
there is "resco - euro cup mobile 2008", but i don't see any option to sync with calendar or to set any reminder. this app costs 20$ and i think it is bit expensive for that kind of app.
Team Stats is a free app, with free upgrades (providing you have internet access) and can follow any championship, not just the EURO2008.
http://www.mbovin.com/teamstats/
Much better then the resco one, which costs 20 bucks, has no updates and is only good for the euro

I've been searching for a Shop Savvy-like program for WM and am getting nowhere. Does anyone know if one has been made, and if so, point me in the right direction?
like the shopping channel on your kaiser? ha, no my friend never even heard of such a thing
spb online is the only one i can think of
Shop Savvy is a program for the G1 (aka Google Android). It scans barcodes with the camera, and checks prices and compares them between different stores.

WWW.fastpricecheck.com You have to manually type in bar code #'s, but it works.
here's the app you're looking for: http://www.fuzemobility.com/snap-a-photo-of-a-barcode-and-automatically-compare-prices-online/
Why did you link away from xda?

shopspark for windows mobile
Hello,
We are releasing shopspark (same concept as shopsavvy and redlaser) for windows mobile in 2 weeks. please check back soon.
I did searches within the Herald forums and found an explorer called Opera however not many users on here talk about it or seem to use it. Is it slow? How come there is not much about it on xda?
Umm, i see it all over the forums...I use it on my home computer.
I use Skyfire for my phone though.

Any recommendations for a Holy Bible app?
Thanks for all of the recommendations. Here is a list of what you have posted so far...
- http://www.e-sword.net/pocketpc/ [I really like this app, I have used it (and the desktop version) for awhile. I just don't like that the developer hasn't integrated touch functions yet. The tiny "action" buttons and drop down menus are a bit annoying. I would also like some touch jesturing while scrolling through the text.]

Any other recommendations??? I will continue to edit new responses. Thanks.

Moved to Raph Software. Would also recommend that the OP consider consolidating all the suggestions into the first post if sufficient information is present to help others who might be looking for the same info.
Laridian Pocket Bible
+1 for Laridian.com
I have been very happy with Bible With You by gmpsoft.com. You can download a fully functional trial from their web site.
There really is no true finger friendly PPC bible app out there, but I like Laridian because they allow you to tweak so many options that you can make it somewhat finger friendly ( I can go to about any bible verse just using my finger, but moreso my fingernail). Look at what I mean in the pictures below. Also I like the fact that Laridian has like 140 different types of books or Bibles that you can add to their program.
One I use on my iPod Touch and the Blackberry Bold (which I just sent back and am currently waiting for my Fuze), is YouVersion.com.
While it is free, you'll have to have some type of data plan to use this, since it does connect to their server for the data. But they've got most translations (at least most translations people use), and it is touch friendly.
Obviously I've not seen this yet on the Fuze, BUT I can't wait to check it out.

My laridian broke. It seems to be conflicting with something else. Has anyone else had this problem?
Another Bible Program I found
The people at AcroBible make an excellent version for the iPhone/iTouch, and offer NASB, NIV, KJV, etc.
I'm not sure how well their app has translated to the WinMo format, but like I said....they did an excellent job with their Apple version.
See them at www.acrobible.com.

I don´t think we can say that this is the best browser, all will become to personal preferences, we normally get used to it and that comfortability is an important point.
I believe Opera, Firefox and Chrome are the strongest.

Have to agree with you, know you use a addblock built into your security software so that will increase speed and as you said personal preference as comes down to how someone works and what they may need to help production/surfing be faster.
I use Firefox not just due to speed but due to the additional plugins available that help with the above.
