How to change the wrong big letter in com manager - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

Hello
In my HTC TYTN II i have in commanager big letters.
Windows mobile 6 professional DUTCH
how can i get my original letter back?

Are you by any chance running WeatherPanel?
If so, go to "Program Files\MarsWare\WeatherPanel\Themes" and remove any files that end in .ttf.
They are font files that are conflicting with the Comm Manager.

Thank so far, but what are the files. How can i see it's ttf. file

Thanks many times
i solved the problem with your genius help
Thank a lot

[QUESTION] Help changing comm manager from o2 Blue

Hi
I have searched and found no answers to this particular question, I have recieved an o2 Ignito today as an upgrade for my partner, I have sucsessfully installed the solid black windows theme and the original HTC Touchflo, I have now found that the Comm Manager is still o2 blue, I have tried downloading the new updated comm manager which works but it is still blue. I basically want it to be the standard grey colours as on the original diamond but I am out of ideas, I don't really want to flash the ignito with a ROM from the forum as I don't really want to void the warranty. Putting the serial number into HTC Support has let me register the phone ok but It says the ROM upgrade is not compatible so that was a dead end.
If anyone has any info or solutions I would be most gratefull
Thanks
Richard
All files for this are located in the windows folder.
Maybe some guys from the forum can upload the files from a htc rom.
Just put the files in your windows folder an overwrite the old ones.

Had my Ignito last week and am still trying to get back up to speed with WM devices (2/3 years since my wizard). How did you make everything black? And do i NEED to be updating the comm manager?
Thanks.
Matt.
To get the windows top and bottom bars black I found a WM6 theme called soloblack.tsk once added to the windows directory it can be seen in the today settings and once applied it changes bars to solid black, the downside is the large start menu was still blue!! Changing the start menu to small icons seemed to fix this but I think this is again dependent on the theme you install so the files required were not there.
The comm manager seems to be theme dependant too, I found the original HTC Black theme but this didn't have data for the comm manager so it stayed the o2 blue colours, I tried another theme and it worked with the comm manager but the sound settings menu was looking horrid so at the moment I have taken it back to full o2 blue until i can find a full HTC black theme with the comm manager included etc.
Hope this makes sense.

Swedish hardware kayboard

Hi this is my first post here at XDA so I will start by saying hallo I'm John from Sweden and I'm new to all this win mobile stuff and so far I hate it and I love it. Thanks goes out to everybody here at XDA you are making it easier to love the wm6 (htc touch pro ).
So what do I want?
Today I installed a cocked ROM (ELite) and me being Swedish I missed the Swedish hardware keyboard layout and did some search for a solution and I could not find any solid solution, picking up bits here and there and figured out something that works for me and now i simply want to sheer it.
the file swe layout.zip have 2 files
* eT9.Raphael.swe.txt put this file in yore windows directory
* setSweKey.reg run this file from yore reg editor
or skip the setSweKey.reg file and enter this to registry
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Tegic\eT9\Ime\KeyboardLayouFiles]
"07FF"="eT9.Raphael.swe.txt"
eT9.Raphael.swe.txt is a simple text file you can edit it in a regular text editor and make it fit yore keyboard if yore Danish or Norwegian or what ever.
I hope some will find this useful.
Thanx for the effort but I just can't get it to work.
Do you have a 6.1 or 6.5 ROM?
how do i get that on my phone? when i open my phone in my computer i cant find windows. and how do i find that regkey in my phone?
Hi! Im also swedish and your files worked great! Thank you very much!
I have just one question, I can't do the "@" in the top right corner, it makes an "=" instead... What should I do? You have the same problem?

SWISS-FRENCH Keyboard layout development

Hi you guy out there!
I recently bought me a Raphael from our beloved Swisscom and guess what: it was crap until I flashed ROMeOS2.
But I was a fool not to backup the entire Windows folder before flashing. I have 2 problems now:
1st I lost TomTom. The maps are still available on storage card but the installation has gone an no cab file to restore it :-(
2nd I'm stuck on an French AZERTY keyboard! To solve this I beg you:
Backup all language files on your Raphael before flashing and send it to me via e-mail so that my task to cook us a Swiss-French keyboard would be much easier!
The important files are, I think, the PQwertyxxxxxx.txt located in Windows folder. But the best, in oder do fix both the problems would be to backup the entire Windows folder.
PM me or reply to this thread it you are interested in helping or send me mails!
Here is what I have so far:
http://www.modaco.com/content/smart...obile-smartphone-internationalization-issues/
Every help is very welcome!
I have more or lesse the same problem, but I would need the swiss-german keyboard. Especially the settings to get the hardware keyboard working with äöü and éàè etc. would be nice.
About TomTom. You can get the installation cab for TomTom from the extended cab collection for ROMeOS2 from Monx here
http://monx.aplace4u.biz/ROMeOS2RAPHAEL/GER/EXTENDED/
This is listed under the german version, but I think it's multilanguage. Got it to work with the maps that were still on my SD card after flashing from swisscom to ROMeOS2 rom.
All right, sounds interesting. I Know that swiss-german keyboards are quite similar to swiss-french. The only difference is in fact this damn éàè and öäü.
Do you know any one who hasn'f flashed his Raphael yet? I basicly don't want to start on an empty base. As I said I'd like to have the PQwertyxxxxxx.txt files to modify...
Have you been on poketpc.ch forum and checked there for solutions? There are many German speaking guys how use Romeos. I don't have many time this month to do research.
Many thanks for le TomTom cab link, I'll check this out soon and keep you updated.
[edit]: TomTom Install worked great. It is multilingual indeed. Thanx noigear!

I only know somebody with an original diamond... that won't be much help for the hardware keyboard
I might still take a look at it when I get a chance to do so. I'll check out pocketpc.ch in the meantime.

If you're talking about the Hardware Keyboard, you can change it easily to any map you like. To do that, using a registry editor, navigate to HKLM\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\KEYBD change th value of CurLang to 2055 for CH-DE
For any other keyboard mapping referr to http://www.microsoft.com/globaldev/r...p/xp-lcid.mspx and get the value listed for the desired language.
Don't forget to softreboot and you're done.
Hope this helps
And what about remaping not full keyboard layot but some buttons in any stations? (With Fn or Shift pressed).
Are Hardware Keyboard is sensible to PQwertyxxxxxx.txt files, or this mapping info is only for touch screen layot?
Owww god damned, I don't beleve it, the solution is sooooo simple (Sorry for my swearing, it's just emotional, lol)
Thank you a lot bluenote77 for this advise.
Unfortunately for vip77, I do not care at all for the touch screen keyboard so i'm not gonna spend more time as necessary to find an answer to the question. May be on my next vacation...
The absolut luxury at the moment would be if you guys knew a tweak for the SMS/MMS button on the keyboard, to call the SMS application by default...
Mr. HD, I'm talking about hardware keyboard, not screen virtual.
I want to remap digits from 1-9 in not english layout, because input of digits avilible only in english layot and not avilible in other language layot.
It's not useful.
@VIP77
All right, in that case, you might be able o perform a remap within the PQwertyxxxxxx.txt files. But I didnt figure out how they work and what kind of data (HEX or ALPHA) they contain.
I'm alway glad to have inputs about that.
Chears
Mr. HD thank you for this information. I spend alot time to find solution for this issue. My primary language is Russian, so every user of HTC TP have this issue. Also we can't input "." symbol. "Trick" is switching layot every time, when i need input digit or dot. It's owful.
Some peoples made new firmware, that have this fix, but they don't want talk about solution. And i don't want go to this version for some reason. I was trying change KbdNopAll.dll to new, from this firmware, but digit input disapiared from all layots.
So i have opinion, that some files or dll's may contaion addition info, not only KbdNopAll.dll driver.
Also i find program, that scan codes and can remap them from buttons and they have similar form. Like codes from PQwertyxxxxxx.txt
It's called AEKeyboard Mapper.
http://ae.inc.ru/aekmap.php
Problem - this software scan codes only in english layot. In russian on all keypresses returning only one code.
So i think I can scan button codes, find them in PQwertyxxxxxx.txt files and change or alias.
Something like this )
This sounds like a painfull job. I hope you will get an issue. in case you didn't see here's the link from my first post, maybe it will help you.

Update OK
i have correct my german Raphael with ceregedit, and in /HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/HARDWARE/DEVICEMAP/KEYBD/ i have set 2055 (German_Swiss ), and work fine!
thanks for the help!
Hi Mr. HD,
Don't know if you still need it or if it might be helpful but I have a backup of my old Sunrise stock ROM. Just send me a PM should you need it.

Issues with fonts that are stock in 6.5 ROM

The Helvetica Fonts that are stock in the ROM file kill one of the programs that i use on a day to to day bases. The reason - that program (E-Sword) will NOT read a font file that has any #'s in it. Is there a way of clearing out just the fonts? I love how 6.5 runs!
Thanks for your input,

I think nue made a font pack or a small program to change your system default fonts. Search using the link in my sign.
What problems are you having? I use Pocket E-Sword frequently and have never had any problems. I have been using 6.5 ROM's for quite a while. Please let me know what you are experiencing and I will see if I can duplicate it. Take care!
The issue
E-Sword will seem to want to load up, then it will just stop loading and go back to the same screen that i was in. I discovered this problem when i first flashed my phone from the 6 to 6.1 (a while ago!!!!) and i came to the understanding that if the fonts in Windows/fonts had any numbers in either the file name, or in the font name, that E-Sword will not load up. I would use Total Commander to remove the extension of the font so that i could erase the font file. Then E-Sword will work. Well, now since i flashed to the 6.5, i noticed that the program would not load up. I searched, and found out that there is about 6 ttf fonts in Windows, and thus i tryed to remove the extesion, but since it is a ROM file, i was unsuccessful. I tryed three custom ROMS (I do build my own) and was unsuccessfull of getting rid of those fonts out of Windows. Well, that is the problem. Thanks for the input.

Install this cab.
Thank you for your reply. I tried with your file but I received a message like "digital sign not reliable". Searching it seems that it's impossible to install different keyboards! I hope I am wrong
Bye
This cab should take care of your error, install first.
You should be able to instal multiple SIPs.
Thank you again, but it does't work. Resco appears in the list but I can't select it. I am thinking returning to wm 6.1 becouse I need smaller keyboards and hand writing.
Bye and thanks.
You've got something hosed.
I use TouchPal exclusively on 6.5
