Hi,
After reading for a while, i thought, i could give me a try in updating my HTC Charmer (T-Mobile germany, MDA Compact II).
But it seems, that I had no luck. I tried to use an original Update from T-Mobile and after the successfull flashing it would stop at the provider-picture. When trying a hard-reset I get a message, that storage format failed.
After messing around with round about 20 different Images i figured out, that it could depend on ipl/spl. Before the update I had "ipl 1.12 / spl 1.12.0000" and after the update it was "ipl 2.06 / spl 2.20.0000".
So i started to search for an old update, which could bring me back to the 1.12 version, but i had no luck.
I also found a few topics regarding this format failure, but this also couldn't bring my charmer back (including to try a prophet image).
I would be realy happy, if anyone knows a solution for this problem or can give me a copy of an old original t-mobile image with the above stated ipl/spl version.

My device is up & running again. I don't know the solution, but one ROM solved the problem.

I could only tell you this, just read the forum everything you want to know is explained a thousands times (read all the sticky's).
2 Weeks ago I was a complete Wizard/PDA noob, look what I know now already, just my browsing around this forum for a few times every day
Simple explanation for upgrading how I did it about 10 minutes after discovering this forum:
1) Install ActiveSync
2) Unlock CID (and SIM if necessary) with LokiWiz
3) Download ROM, click executable, start updating and that's it!
I would thank Faria for his job because after two days looking after a solution, I find an issue with the "dowgrade Rom".
My problem was : impossible to install directly the Qtek Rom

I want to use warranty so I want to downgrade my htc S300+.
So I have the original rom version by extenue but I don't have the original radio version (1.29.00.01) and I don't know how to come back to the original SPL (I have hard SPL 1.30 by Olipro).
Please help me.
PS : My trinity is "SIM unlocked", is the warranty available ?

don't manually place your device in bootloader, load sspl on your device, and then run the update. it should downgrade everything
ok thanks racerx_ but my problem is that I haven't the radio version 1.29.00.01 and the original bootloader.
I have hardSPL it's like SSPL and I don't need that I just want to come back to the original bootloader
yeah i know what hard spl is..
i was assuming your original ROM is with ipl + spl... i guess that's not the case? You need to get a manufacterer's ROM to do everything at once..
maybe you can get an original WM5 ROM from another carrier and extract the spl using NBH tools and then flash it separately...

Is there a 3.00.708.9 ROM ? My P3600i has 3.00.707.18 with Radio 1.46.30.11 and that is the latest that is on the HTC sites.

All you have to do is to search.......just a little and you would be able to find what you are looking for.

I've dumped the French Orange HTC Touch HD rom and rebuilt it into RUU_SIGNED.NBH to have a backup for warranty reasons (and only for this purpose, as the rom in itself is not the most exciting to say the least - it is atually extremely restricted: no Youtube app, 'shareware' Windows Live, pay per message MSN Messenger, pvplayer).

but it's a raw files, can someone help me to make a flashable rom with it to restore the phone later .
