No I know the reg tweak to hide them and I did that, both manually and through Kaiser tweak. The problem is after a little while (no har reset or anything) my phone seems to start showing them again. When I go back into the registry the value has indeed reverted to default. Any idea what the heck could be causing this
I am running a stock (ROM wise) Tilt. I do have some programs installed but other than Kaiser Tweak nothing I can think of that would cause this. Any thoughts?

Unfortunately I get a 404 error when trying to follow this link.
Anybody have any ideas what could be causing this?
If you're talking about the 404 error, the problem is because the link is bad, the link posted is exactly as it looks with the ... and everything. If you're talking about why your kaiser reverts back to showing the SIM contacts, it's because for some reason HTC decided to protect that registry setting, along with a few others people have found that aslo revert back after a reset. I posted a fix that NuShrike was nice enough to give me that resolves the problem, but I'm not sure what thread it is in exactly. If you do a search for hide sim contacts though you should be able to find it. If I find it though I'll post a working link to it.

I'm using an AT&T Tilt with the default ROM, no modifications, just added software. My text and email messages are opening at the end of the message. The scrollbar is scrolled all the way down. On really long messages, like long emails, it won't be scrolled all the way to the end, but down quite a ways. Does anyone know what might be causing this, or how to fix it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...
did ya install kaisertweak? I read somewhere on this forum that that tool is causing that problem
No, I haven't installed that. But thank you for asking. I may check those references and see if anyone with that problem has found a solution...
try this , and please let us know!

That was it. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction! Your original hunch was probably correct. I haven't installed that program but I did manually edit the registry to do that tweak. I didn't even think it was relevant cause I thought it only affected PIE. Looks like I have lots more reading to do at these boards. Thanks again for your help, and quick response...
I posted this in another thread, I have the Tweak installed on my Tilt and have the 4-Way Nav already set to 1. It still does this, very annoying. Any other suggestions?
didn't work on my HTC TyTN II either the suggested registry value value was already 1. I've been fiddling with KaiserTweak earlier.

Yea, been there, done that, still no luck. The default was already set to "1" so it must be something else. The investigation continues.

Quick GPS send 'connection failed' message when I tried to refresh data. It is done through AS and 3G as well. Any correct solution?
Mikus
So, I don't have this problem but I know how to fix it because I've read all the pinned topics. Just for kicks I ran a search of "QuickGPS failed" and what do you know, I found the answer. Just a tip.

Looks like you need another tip, start with the thread that says "quickgps on the kaiser *FIX*"
While you're at it, watch this video
http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/posting
Use Kaiser Tweak to fix the Quick GPS problem
1.Download the Kaiser Tweak
2. Look for Tools (in the Kaiser Tweak), select the 'Default QuickGPS Setting', select 'OEM Settings (Def/Adv)'.
I hope it will work for those who is having such problem
All the best

Hi all,
I installed KaiserTweak yesterday, and although I think its a great application, Pocket Internet Explorer won't connect to any links. I don't know if it's related or not.
Firstly, the home page won't open, and no links open when selected in Favourites -- its says connecting at the bottom, and 0%.
I can connect with Opera, but I still like to use IE for some pages.
Anyone experienced this?
Thanks guys,
Ratzz
Does it look like its loading and then nothing comes up after it finishes real quick? I think this is a known issue. Forgot where I saw the fix. I just soft reset and its back.
Yep, thats it - tries the s/r but didnt fix.
I'd love to find that thread you mentioned...
Thanks for the info...

I had this problem on WM6.1 ROM with ce-star installed, PIE won't load any pages with this combination.
have you tried clearing the cookies and cache files? maybe a clean up is in order
All cleared up, but still no connection.
No error message, just a blank screen.
Any other ideas guys?
Not sure if Kaiser Tweak does this but did you change the location of where PIE stores the temp internet files. Also, try going back to the tweak and resetting everything to default. (for testing)
If you are using ATT to connect a hidden proxy has to be enabeled, don't know if that applies to T mobile as well.
i am having a similar problem with my IE. only difference is i cant seem to get an active internet signal for anything. it was working one second then not working the next. i cant send/recieve email or anything. any ideas guys??

If using T-Mobile DO NOT enable hidden proxy.
It's funny how I just responded to you with this cause now I'm in the same boat! s/r does not fix. Working one day, gone the next. Now I've gotta search for the thread I saw with the fix. Are you using the latest ROM from AT&T for the tilt..?
SOLUTION...
Its easy just don't use your SD to keep Temp, cookies, history, etc...
I was having the same problem until that changes.
Where do you change theses settings.. I know... NOOB question. I have thought I saw it somewhere but now I cant find it...

Or you could check in Tweak under PockectIE >Proxy Auto Detect> Enabled (proxy = disabled)
This setting solved my problem along with all the good folks here on xda!! I'm a NOOB but this worked for me.. I had everything else working and had used Opera Mini 9.5 beta and Opera Mobile successfully but could not get IE to load a page. It would act like it was loading, display 0%, but nothing happened. Hope this helps..
ATT Tilt
Rom: Dutty's 3.08...? (WM6.1)
Tweaks for pockey IE..? I did'nt see that option. Only general, memory, & security options under tools in IE. Is this located somewhere else or is it a CAB tweak..? Thanks.
I'm having the same problem, has anyone found a solution yet?
Anyone else have the issue where no matter what I set as my default calendar view, when I open it up it automatically goes to "Agenda" view?
It opens in Month, but ehn immediately changes to Agenda...very annoying I think
Anyone else experienced this? Any solution?
Cheers
Not something I've come across myself, but I'd advise setting the preferences the way you want it then making sure the Calendar app is properly closed (as opposed to just minimised) using the Task Manager to try and get your preferred settings to 'stick'. It's probably worth doing a quick soft reset at that point as well just to be on the safe side.
I must have changed the settings a million times - like I say though, the weird thing is it starts in month mode but changes then to agenda...
Also dont seem to be able to get the phone name to stick - keeps changing to htc_593 or some numbers...
ah well!
Actually, I've just noticed if I open it through programs it does stay on month, it's only if I open it from the today screen...must just be the way it's set up.
Try a search because this topic has been covered before and a tweak was suggested

I do not have any problem with this so don't need a tweak. However I can remember a few weeks ago reading about somebody else who did suggested something that he said solved it. If I had tried it or remembered it I would have explained it in my post
However you seem a keen and helpful poster ever willing to help others so why don't YOU try it. Or maybe come up with some other really positive suggestion
Hi All....
I've got this problem with TomTom.. it's not a huge issue, but it's kinda annoying... I've searched the forum and web, and haven't been able to find any postings on this "bug"?....
When I go to "Manage POI", I can set a warning sound (I use this for speed and redlight cameras) and it works... but whenever I exit and restart TomTom again, it resets back to the default warning sound.. ie, the first warning sound out of all the available selections..
Does anyone know if there's a fix?
I'm currently on TomTom 7.450.9028...
thanks!
have the same issue, i hope theres a solution
Try shortening the file names of the sound files. I had a similar problem with voice file names and that fixed it.
Let us know how you get on.

thanks steveianson... but the sound files aren't actually "custom" files.. they're the ones that come with the TomTom software itself.. there's a series of them and i'm only selecting from those... weeeird....

Because Jeroen........ Before I posted, I searched and searched and searched!
I actually did see that thread you're pointing me to... I even downloaded and tried the newer version of Tom Tom that's linked in the thread and I couldnt get it to work with my existing maps.
(to use that new version, I'd somehow need to reactivate maps to be able to use it?).
As far as I can see, the thread STARTS off talking about the same version of TomTom I use, but within a few posts, it's gone off topic and it is now about the newer version!
Hence, the reason I started a new thread...

I have had the same problem and it has nothing to do with the thread you pointed us to. Also, this problem has been around for a while (at least the last 2 or 3 versions of TomTom 7). I have looked everywhere but cannot find a fix for it. Using ogg files for the warnings is just too cumbersome.
Anyone have a solution?
Thanks.
