Hotmail: please enable cookies? - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

I use PIE and I want to login at www.hotmail.com to check my email (because with my telecom provider I need to use a proxy server to get on the internet, so I can’t use Windows Live), but every time I get the message: please enable cookies. And then the Windows live website gives an example how to enable cookies for IE 6 and firefox… So probably Microsoft doesn’t even recognizes his own PIE?!?
I get this message after I filled in my username and password and click on the login button.
Btw, I already activated the option “allow cookies” in PIE.
Can you login at www.hotmail.com using PIE (WM6)?
If yes, what settings do I have to apply?

How to use internet access with T-zones instead of Total internet? (US T-mobile)

I have been searching thru the forum and i can't find any specific information about it
i use windows live messenger, email , and browse with Opera...I do use live search and google map too and i am with the 19.99 total internet plan now..
Just want to see if it is possible to save the 13 bucks coz i don't need hotspot at all....
I have seen posts that about changing proxy and get the internet with PIE to work but it doesn't mention about other programs like tomtom google map live search and i don't want to change it to the T-zones without confirming this.
Could anyone help please?
i'm in the same boat as you, the 5.99 works on my dash, so i'm expecting it to work on the tilt, but i just cant get it to work...now when i open up PIE, it goes from connnecting, to loading to opening, and just stays there and then gives me error #502... so if you figure it out, def let me know, thanks
omar
Same here, I have posted a thread about it already but no replies, Here. Do let me know it thr is any, n i'll do the same.
I can confirm t-zone plan works fine with google map, push mail to exchange servers, browsing using IE, and regular smtp/pop email. The weather update progam on the today screen does not work. On the other hand, SBSH Pocket Weather does work (I let it update throughout the day). NTP time server service also does not work (using CityTime).
1. add new modem connection -- cellular line (gprs, 3g);
2. access point name -- wap.voicestream.com
3. leave password blank
4. proxy settings check "this network connects to internet";
5. check "use proxy server"
6. proxy server: 216.155.165.50
7. advanced: change http port from 80 to 8080
Under network management, set Internet Connection to the account just created above. Leave private network as "My Work Network".
Soft-reset.
If you have trouble with POP accounts, edit each POP account and change connection away from "My ISP" to the t-mobile account.
Cheers
Okay i have tested this setting for T zones and i am trying to add a few details on it.
1st. Windows Live and Windows Live Messenger does not work =/ I guess it is because it doesn't support proxy connection. I am wondering if anyone can somehow mod it or change the proxy settings of these two programs with registry or other means so i can actually use it?
2nd. PIE works right away with the setting, but Opera won't. Later i add the proxy server in the Opera setting then it works like a miracle too=)
3rd. Some other IM site such as communicationtube.net does support the login of msn using T zones...Kind of a substitute even tho the stock messenger works much better.
4th. for 13 bucks/month the only different is probably only on Windows Live and Windows Live messenger....or if someone can actually provide a mod version of these two programs or a tweak that changes their settings. T zones works perfect for kaiser...
I can confirm that GMM works with the method listed in the link below with the $5.99 T-Mobile Web plan and WM5. But "My Location" does not, may be my phone (Cingular 3125) http://www.ehow.com/how_2245457_tmobile-shadow-any-windows-mobile.html

How can i connect Windows Live for Windows Mobile throug a proxy server?

Hi all,
The proxy server is used in wireless system at my work. I enabled proxy server configuration in communication manager and i can connect web sites with internet explorer.
My question is, while i am unable to connect windows live messenger, there're also no proxy configuration on it. Are tehere any way to use messenger through proxy server ?
Or, i guess Windows Live for Windows Mobile is brand application came with WM6.0. Do you know may i use old messenger versions via proxy? Or do you know any other msn client with proxy support ?
Thanks in advance for your help.
you can setup the proxy in live messenger
I couldnt find any place to enter a proxy address in messenger. Could you please tell me where can i enter the proxy?
hey, I connect through a proxy for all my internet (using tmobile usa), and I was never able to figure out how to use windows live via proxy. however to download my hotmail emails I finally found a work around. you have to upgrade ur hotmail account to hotmail plus (20 dollars/year). now u have access to pop settings and set up a new email account using those settings (not through windows live) good luck
omar
I do not care mails, i even dont use hotmail for mailing.
i need to instant messaging to keep talking with my girlfriend.
You can't use a proxy server to access WLM Service from your Pocket PC. It simply doesn't support this.
The way that the client communicates with the Messenger service greatly differs when using a proxy, and support for this is not available in the mobile client. You NEED to create a direct connection, which thus prevents you from connecting in networks where using a proxy server (HTTP or SOCKS) is mandatory.
My mobile connected to Wifi but I couldnot surf WEB cause I didn't know how to setting up
my working Proxy via port 8080.
Help me!
Same problem here, but a little diferent.
I connect to the proxy server in my office network trough wireless access point, and then it asks me for the user credentials. I put in the credentials (i have an unrestricted account, i'm one of the administrators) but then it keeps asking me for them as if i had used wrong credentials! Are there any configuration on the proxy server to accept WM6.1 connections?
Thank's!

Use AIRTEL LIVE on DIAMOND in INDIA

Hey guys,
I used diamond then shifted to Omnia and now back on Diamond.
Diamond was never able to use airtel live and the customer care people used to say that the service is not available to any Windows Mobile Device and i need to buy Mobile Office to use net on my cell. Bull S***..!!
Then i went to Omnia and it was able to run Airtel Live. Damn.. Whats wrong with Diamond then.
For some reasons i shifted back to Diamond and searched day and night to find out the solution. Here it is:-
1. Activate Airtel Live by sending the following SMS to 121: MASALA ACTIVE.
2. The service takes atleast 3-4 hours to get active. Restart the phone and resume configuring.
3. Tap Start -> Settings.
4. Select Connections Tab and tap Connections.
5. Select Advanced Tab, tap Select Networks button to bring up Network Management.
6. Under "Programs that automatically connect to the Internet should connect using:" drop down, tap the New button.
7. In the General Tab, type the name of the settings as Airtel Live
8. Select Modem tab, tap New...
9. Type the name of connection as Airtel Live, select the modem as Cellular Line (GPRS) and tap Next.
10. Type Access Point Name as airtelfun.com and tap next.
11. Leave username, password and domain blank and tap finish.
12. Select Proxy Settings tab. Tap "This network connects to the Internet". This should enable the next check box option.
13. Tap "This network uses a proxy server to connect to the Internet".
14. Type the proxy server as: 100.1.200.99 and then tap Advanced...
15. Tap HTTP, leave the server as 100.1.200.99 and change the port to 8080
16. Similarly tap WAP, Secure WAP and Socks, type the server as 100.1.200.99 but leave the port to defaults. These are optional settings.
17. Tap OK to close the Advanced proxy setup screen.
18. Tap OK to close the New connection screen.
19. The network management screen should now list the new connection you have created in the drop-down. Tap OK to close this screen
20. Tap OK to close the connection screen.
And its done. Use IE or Opera and have fun.
Njoi..!!
do leave a "Thanks" if it works out.
I did all the steps and after them there's the Edge icon on the signal bar when some application try to connect to internet...but i still any application is not able to access the internet. When I open the site in IE i get "Request not authorized to access WAP gateway". Also its not that I don't have WAP access on my Airtel connection, the same SIM is able to access WAP sites through nokia's default browser in my older nokia 6600
NOP still works? i thought it was stopped sometime back. Will try it out.
umm..any idea whats the downloading/browsing charges?

[Q] Getting the App store to work over corporate domain Proxy server

One of my problem with just taking up the windows 8 phone challange is that inside a corprate network with a Proxy server in place that requires authentication the App store no longer works.
The advanced Wifi settings do not allow you to add a username / password to authenticate either and the browser setting don't allow you to enter anything regarding a proxy at all.
Has anyone got any ideas or developed anything to get around this problem?
The workarounds so far are to allow a seprate SID with open access as ISA servers even with a bypass rule fail to allow traffic for the APP store to pass.
Same here.
I can only browse with IE, I put the address of the proxy at the navbar (192.168...ect) then the IE ask for username/pass
i can, browse the internet, but the app store doesn't work, neither some apps like whatsapp for example
edit: same, with my wife's LG G2, I can browse the net, but the play store is not working.... I don't know much about the proxy servers so can't figure out why this happen

any way to view saved cookies/passwords Nokia 930?

hi first of all i am new here and very green
i had a major meltdown of my laptop which i usually keep all the passwords for IE.
long story short i lost all my passwords but had some stored (on IE) on my nokia 930. i have no way of getting the password reset as i do not have the email address anymore (disposable one doh), but have the info stored on my Lumia. is there any way i can get the info off the phone so i can get my old account back?
tbh i am not sure where to look and have tried google (ing) it but can't find an answer.
thanks in advance
There's no easy way to get at the cookies on a Lumia, but there are a few tricky ways. One of the least bad, if you run Windows 8.1, is just to turn on synching between the phone and the PC. On the phone, go to Settings -> Sync my settings, and turn on the Internet Explorer and Passwords options. This does send your passwords through Microsoft, but it should work. On the (new) PC, use Windows 8.1 and sign in with the same Microsoft account you used to sign into the phone. Make sure the PC is also set to sync settings, run IE on the PC, and hopefully it'll have your credentials!
The next best option / best option that doesn't send your credentials through a third party is probably to use a proxy. Fiddler is free and fairly easy to use. Install it on a PC, connect the phone to the same network as the PC, run Fiddler and tell it to allow external connections (the setting for this is under Fiddler Options), and then go to the WiFi settings on the phone and tell it to use the PC's IP address (and the port Fiddler is listening on) as a proxy server. To set a proxy, press and hold on the WiFi network that you're using (on the phone) and select Edit. Once the proxy is set, use IE on the phone to browse to the relevant sites, and you'll be able to see the cookie values (which are not passwords, but are authentication tokens that are usable at least in the short term). If you need the secure (HTTPS) cookies, you can tell Fiddler to decrypt HTTPS traffic and then export the certificate it uses to create fake site certs. Install Fiddler's root CA cert on the phone and you'll then be able to see HTTPS traffic too.
thanks @GoodDayToDie.
I will give it a go, although I don't run 8.1 on the laptop I will go borrow someone else's
