I have noticed on all 3 of my Atrix HDs that the clock will not hold the correct time. I usually notice it when it is 10 or more minutes off. Sort of makes it unreliable as a reminder/calendar/alarm device.
Is anyone else seeing this, or have any idea what might be causing it, or how to fix it?
In an attempt to fix it, I turned off the network time feature, but I just realized that it was still off my 10 minutes. I downloaded clocksync from the play store. Now that we have root (and this problem existed on my unrooted phones) I am going to see if this program will keep the clock more accurate. I just worry about the battery drain... though I doubt it will be much.

Is it the clock itself that is not keeping the correct time or the clock widget? If it is the widget; are you using a stock widget or a 3rd party widget?

Its the system clock. I use a fancy widget clock, but when i go into the android system settings it also shows the error.
I must be catching it because i have previously not been trying to fix it, yet it is often times right.

In the date and time settings do you have both automatic date & time and automatic time zone checked? If you do there may be a problem with retrieving the correct time through the network. You may want to uncheck them and set your time manually.

I have unchecked them, an AT&T data feed issue from my local tower was my first thought. The reason I posed the question was that it is still doing it even with manually setting the time.

I assume you are running the latest firmware. I'm stumped. I want to say it could be a hardware or software issue, but on all 3 Atrixes. Just not likely. Did you try seeing if the clock syncs properly with the network in other areas where there are different towers? It just really sounds like a network issue.
You've clearly set something wrong. Maybe post screenshots of all possible settings menus?
Why is my weather not updating on my watch. I have it set to update every hour. It doesnt at all. I have to go into gear settings then weather and toggle off then on the location for it to update.

I had a similar problem recently, mine was also set to one hour & when I realized it was off by more than ten degrees I knew something was wrong.
I checked when the last time it had updated was and it was over 5 hours earlier. At that point, I tried absolutely every thing I could think of to get it working and NOTHING worked.
I finally figured out that the acuweather site was not working right. The next morning, it started working just fine again all by itself, and I hadn't changed anything..........
Mine has been like this since day one. Over 10 days now.
You have to use the stock weather app, it syncs with the gear.. I had the same problem, switched back to stock weather and everything works as it should..
I had this problem, Im using a custom rom.. You want to make sure you have accuweather widget installed.. theres also a weather service apk. Pretty much anything related to weather must be on your phone to be safe.
These may be considered "bloat" to some, without them the weather wont update.
Also I had to reinstall galaxy gear manager, now my weather updates hourly.
same here. today i try login to samsung play store update the gear manager and than the weathter show up.

Are you saying you have to use the stock weather widget on your phone? I use Beautiful Widgets on my phone, but BW uses accuweather. My Gear says it's 72°, my phone says it's 46°. The Gear says it was last updated @ 10:42 AM on 10-4. It's 9:15 PM on 10-25. I didn't even own the Gear on 10-4.

As far as I know, you have to use the stock weather widget to update the gear weather watchface..
Answer: Location service must be turned ON
I just purchased a Galaxy Note 4 and for an added $55 deal I got the Gear 2 Neo smartwatch with it. I am having tons of fun with both the phone and the watch. I thought I would do a Google search on how to fix the issue with the Gear 2 Neo not updating the weather application when I have the Location button turned off and it brought me to this page.
Yes that's right! You heard me. The issue with Accu Weather not updating is because the Location Finder must be active or the watch refuses to update. I have verified this several times over again. Definitely the result of not being able to find it's location through the phone because the phone's Location service is off.
I have solved this by pressing the Location button and turning it on momentarily to update the phone. Sometimes leaving the Location on for several hours when I wish to receive weather updates. This is very self defeating turning it on and off to receive weather, not to mention that if a Severe Weather Warning came through on my phone I would not receive it on my Watch unless I had the Location/GPS/Wifi finder service running. That's just stupid :silly:. I will be waiting for a fix unless I can find some alternative clock/weather watch face that will replace this broken AccuWeather application.
I hope this helps you understand what is happening to your watch when it fails to update weather. And yes, it is also true that only the Default Weather application will send updates to the watch even with the Location turned on, that I have found so far. Though I'm still new at this and if I find and alternative I will certainly post it here for everyone.
Edit: Wow I just noticed the age of the last post before mine. OMG! I can't believe this problem still exists and hasn't been fixed yet over the last year. Complete brand new model and it still happens, this is sad.

I'm using the Gear S2 and the issue is still present! Pretty sad after all these years!
Literally am having this issue right now... SAMSUNG FIX THIS!!!!
Same here. Galaxy watch 46mm and Galaxy S10+. I believe that it auto updates while my phone is on wifi, but it does not update on LTE even if i try to force it on watch. If my phone is not on wifi it updates thru Galaxy wearable app.
I know this has been talked about in various threads and I have tried all suggestions...
Can someone please figure this out.
I am:
stock note 3 4.3 software
weather widget is on home screen, set for one hour update
galaxy manager is set up for 1 hour update
I have used both 1.2 software and 1.4 software twice. watch updates initially and then nothing, I have cleared phone caches and reset gear twice as well. Is this a watch problem or phone problem? or is it software on phone or watch?
Please help.

The Gear gets it weather feed from the Accuweather widget which exists in two places. Either on the home screen, lock screen, or both. The lock screen weather widget can be accessed by touching the time and then dragging down. The time on the lock screen widget is always the time of last update on my Gear.
Here's how to set the time for the lock screen widget.
You have to have the lock screen security set to "swipe" in order to access the above. I know this is where the Gear gets its weather info because I once set the lock screen weather update time to "never" and the Gear stopped updating.
I use no lock screen at all, and I use HDWidgets instead of the stock weather app.
My watch updates just fine.

It still is pulling the weather from Accuweather; their logo is on the Gear's weather display. Since Samsung doesn't pre-install the Accuweather app it has to be the widget providing the feed. I use the HD Widgets weather widget instead of Samsung's and my Gear stopped updating the weather when I changed the lock screen weather update time to "never." It's now set "hourly" and that's how often my Gear updates. And the time stamp is always the same on both. Had you ever set the Samsung weather widget before using HD Widgets? I bet whatever that setting is/was is what the Gear is still relying on. I'm pretty sure the settings of the Accuweather widget, either home or lock screen, is what's providing the Gear with its feed.

I don't know if it will help or not but when my weather wouldn't update I read somewhere to reboot the watch and the phone together. It's all been working fine since then. Can't hurt to try it for the time too.

This has worked so far. Fingers crossed it stays that way Thanks
This is driving me nuts. I set up my new s10 by signing in to my Google account and choosing to restore my Pixel 3 XL backup. All the apps and everything downloaded just fine, but the blue light filter that I had scheduled for 10pm to 6am on the Pixel has apparently followed me to the S10. The only problem is that I have no way to disable it. It shows as off in the settings even though it clearly turns on at 10pm. If I manually change the clock to say 7pm, the filter turns off, but the whole time, the settings show that it's off. Enabling it in settings while it is already active results in a slightly more red blue light filter, that's it. Short of doing a factory reset and setting it up as a new device, I can't think of any way to fix it. I've even tried turning off the setting on my Pixel to no avail. Any ideas?
I had the same issue.
Download an application called Activity Launcher.
You will need to find the activity that is linked to night shift, I can't remember the name on the top of head but it will be pretty obvious when you will see it.
Samsung apparently decided to scratch away the stock feature by just creating their own one and removing the stock one's setting entry. However it's still there, and still working as long as you can manually launch the activity and it activate automatically if you had a schedule created on another device.
Funily enough that allows you to get even stronger effect by combining both features at the same time.
Check your nightlight settings in the Google Play Books App. Set that to 0 and it should fix the issue.

I am having the same issue with my newly bought 2 days old Xiaomi 11T. I transferred everything from my previous phone Xiaomi Mi A1 and I had Night Light scheduled to turn on at 11:30 p.m. and off at 7:00 a.m. But now there is no NIGHT LIGHT feature on Xiaomi 11T but the screen automatically turns yellow when the schedule starts and turns back to normal at 7 a.m. Please help me with this. I tried installing Activity Launcher, but I couldn't find the setting you are talking about. I also have both, schedule and reading mode turned off in the settings, but this still happens due to settings brought from the old phone.
Please help me out.

Think that's the same app that boned me. It alters a hidden user setting that remains after you uninstall it.
Unclean uninstall... Gookill sucks.
The way I fixed it was to reinstall it, change that setting, uninstall. Over a year later still on that same OS load, A-ok.
OP: don't use SmartSwitch when migrating to a different device especially for apps. Do a clean load... more *surprises* are likely waiting for you.
Do not trust SmartSwitch with critical data... I use it for homepage settings only where if it fails it's no big deal.
I have a Galaxy s21 ultra and I spent the last month so furious that I couldn't get the blue light filter to stop coming on at sunset until I saw this post and downloaded activity launcher and found the night light setting
Thank you so much to everybody who responded here
God am I happy I wasn't the only one with this problem. Thank you guys so much for finding a fix, I just got a z fold 3 and updated from the Pixel 3XL so I had the exact same issue.
Hi,
Still running the official CN version.
Just received the official MIUI 12.5.3 OTA update. Installed flawlessly.
When scanning through settings, I tried to change my wallpaper to either my own picture, or to a pre-installed one and unfortunately it doesn't work.
In the preview frame, it shows the picture I have selected on the Home Screen, but always shows a black screen for the Lock Screen.
When exiting the settings page, I just have a black screen on the Home Screen as well as on the Lock Screen.
I only managed to get a picture on both of them, if I select a Live Wallpaper. Then I have it on both screens. It also works with a third party Wallpaper Changer, where I select my own pictures, but again, I cannot select a fixed Lockscreen picture which after selection turns into a black screen only.
In addition, the setting (on the same page) for changing the Unlock Animation is completely missing.
I tried already all kind of things, rebooting several times, without success.
I guess it is a bug, but wanted to ask if someone has encountered a similar issue on the original China ROM?
Does the google play store services work on your device after update? I've got mine downloaded, but delayed the update until this is clear is it safe to update.

Same happened to me. I'm in the Uk.
Maybe they stopped the rollout.
Another issue I found is that when using the gesture mode to open up the Recent Files, it still shows the old style, where to terminate an app is done by swiping left or right, not as shown in some videos, where you need to swipe up.
It also doesn't show how much Ram is used/free.
