Hello Kaiser fans.
I was using a little MSpaint style program on my Kaiser
and I thought to myself...How excellent would it be
to have a decent photo editor for the kaiser. Using
the touch abilities and maybe a simple program like
GIMP. Does anyone know of a GIMP/Photoshop style
program for windows mobile...more specifically the kaiser.
(sorry if this post would have been better suited on another
board)

Is it possible to change the application used for taking pictures (the viewfinder)?
I have a HTC BlueAngel (SPV M2000/XDA IIs) running WM5 and have the camera app with the borders and buttons round the outside. I really want the one which takes up the whole screen which i have seen on other devices.
Is it possible?
CoolCamera isn't compatible with the BA.
Thanks
Yeah, I'd like to see if there's another application for the Cameras on the Blue Angel. I don't really like the current one. If anyones knows of one that takes up the whole screen please post it.
ive been looking around trying to find an iphone theme for my htc touch. Are there any that you guys have used in the past or are using now? Im kinda new to the whole theme scene so im looking for a tsk?? file.. so i dont have to fiddle around..
by theme i mean like the colors of the phone/the whole keyboard/and the menue buttons. i had found one but it was in german..
D'oh!
Apple don't like the fact that WM devices can do what an I Phone can do so have outlawed copycat apps/skins...
You are on your own...
follow my step, you will have a xPhone

There are more appz for it, but that is all I use because iPhone is not my type and its limited. If you use xPhone with touchflu cube that would be a killer setup.
Im using my voice command to activate xPhone and slide to launch touchflu cube.
a million thank...i'll tries
hi!
someone know if htc diamond home plug and album/mediaplayer software are avaible somewhere, please?
thx!
i asked the same thing somebody just told me to buy a diamond
there is an early release of it floating around these forums, it's called Manilla. But don't get to excited, it really doesn't work well, if at all. I saw one person say that it only did like 3 fps so it was so extremely slow that it was useless. Most posts state that it doesn't work at all.
how about the application/programs launcher.. the one that goes a neat vertical list (see attachment)..
i think they replaced the default start>programs launcher with this one.. better, neater (with background) and more fun scrolling than the default M$ one..
You guys should take a look at the reviews more carefully. All the programs that the OP asked for are part of the new TouchFLO 3D. Implementation requires an activated GPU, something that the Kaiser is lacking.
well not all seems to be a part of the GPU heavy TouchFLO 3d.. as usual, some of the UI elements of the new TouchFLO must be some sort of separate programs that is called by the main GUI/launcher.. evidences of those can be seen in some videos wherein shortcut icons (from settings applet and/or programs menu) can summon/launch some TouchFLO UI programs - independent of the main 3d TouchFLO app..
so most likely, we may be able to extract some parts of the UI (the more static ones)..
like the comm manager, settings, volume screen, programs menu (list), and maybe even the youtube applet.. which, all seems to just be a static standard/skinned program (non-3d and more like a point-UI approach), much like the HTC Camera Album (from the first Touch series)..
our main hurdle would be converting these apps from the obviously VGA native resolution to QVGA ones..

isnt it just reducing the images down to 50% ????
i've found some infos here...but i can't make it working on my kaiser...even if i've changed the images file with the qvga version file...
so...someone know something about manila on qvga devices?
THX!
hiya. anyone know any good & freeware (cab please):
1 image/photo editor - to edit diamond photos
2 gps maps/software (I use amzgps and google but drains download limits)
3 any decent 3d games(action,rally...) for when bored at work...
probably be better in "Applications" section
i think you will be hard pushed for the Game, but there is a Windows Mobile verison of Paint (dont think it is actually made by Micro$hite)
What part of the world are u in? different places will have better/worse GPS software.
-edit- Paint Program is called PDAcraft Paint www.pdacraft.com (comes with Dutty's ROMs)
editor

For PPC image editors, you probably can't get much better than these three:
Pocket Picture (Just-as-good freeware):
http://osdmsoftware.googlepages.com/pocketpicture
Pocket Artist 3 (Pay-application):
http://www.conduits.com/products/artist/
XnView (Free cross-platform):
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xnview
http://www.xnview.com/
http://www.xnviewpocket.org/
Having tried almost every image editor on the Diamond, I can conclude that the above options are the very best available, especially considering the requirement for full VGA compatibility, photo editing, multi-format etc.
For GPS on the Diamond you could try TomTom7 which seems to be by far the most popular, although IGO8 and GarminXT would work too. CAB files for the applications and guides to make them work on Diamond are readly available here (legally) however you will have to purchase the maps (or search elsewhere if you know where - though it's not condoned by me or this forum).
For the Games and many, many other application, tools, utilities, themes and hacks you can really do no better than to browse the extensive amount of posts in both the Diamond "Themes, Applications and Software" General and "Development and Hacking" sections on this very Forum. Perhaps just spend an evening or two making your way through the threads back until May or so. You will find everything you need and be totally up-to-speed.
Also http://www.freewareppc.com/ is one of the best overall freeware resources on the web including version tracking.
Good luck with your new device - though I actually like the Diamond device, HTC Software and especially this community, because of the OS I'll be moving over to Android or Apple as soon as I can.

Thanks for the tips - will check them out right away!
I wonder: is it possible to install another version of CoPilot from somewhere and then use the maps already installed in the internal storage in T-Mobile Compact IV (CoPilot demo version)? Or are they protected somehow.
Guys, I'd like to have the same interface for browsing contacts as the HTC diamond has, or perhaps like the iPhone.
Does anyone know how I can do this? What files do I need and where can I get them?
Try PocketCM.

What I like about the diamond, which I thought the iPhone has as well, is the ability to flick through images of your contacts with their names just below (or above) the corresponding image. Similar to how the pocketCM image viewer works actually, but then for contacts...

its commercial and worth it.
