GPRS

After upgrading my XDA IIs to the 1.40 release, I can no longer use the GPRS connection to my AT&T (Cingular) account. It comes back saying the modem was disconnected etc... Anyone here using an XDA IIs with Cingular and using GPRS with a newer ROM?

I have the exact problem after upgrading the rom but with STC Saudi Arabia.
anyone using STC's GPRS account with the new ROM 1.40?

I had that too. You need to go to your GPRS connection settings and edit the existing settings. Go to start>settings>connections>manage existing connections>edit and go to the password and enter CINGULAR1 for the password, then tap on finish. That worked for me. I don't know why,but it changed the password by itself.

***UPDATE***
It turned out to be an operator issue and thankfully the GPRS is working very well now.

Yes, I am using Saudi telecom with same Rom Version 1.40.00 and Cooked Extended Rom since it was released on net…up until now I did not have any problem with GPRS…Its working as good as before…

WiFi help please

I have a china mobile 838 phone I found it I converted it to english sweet very nice phone but it has no wifi I do not care a bout bluetooth but I want the wifi . I have heard wifi is dsiabled on the chines version how do enable it I have tried

and

non of them give me wifi can some one help me enable it please that is if it is even there

anyone know how to fix the gsm part of the phone bc i can use windows but when try to trun on the gsm to make calls it says data crashes contact service prov....then where it says start it says sim lock i got

any help pls its a mda qtek 9100 i belive and its tmobile

Reflash the official ROm from your service provider and recongfigure the settings.

Thanks for the reply the phone is a qtek and i got the officall but how do i recongfigure the settings
pls i dont know how to recongfigure the setting can someone pls help......
i been to every thread in this fourm i been up since last nite on this and still no luck

the phone is a qtek but im in the us
but i really think its for the tmobile uk org bc it got a brown keybord and everymda that i see here got a black keybord or does it make a diff

Trouble with Radio Rom

Hi Guys,
Have just put my Touch Diamond (CDMA) handset on Reliance India but am unable to send sms. Currently, I am on 1.08 radio. On some suggestion i switched to Sprint 1.11 F.. radio. But it shows no service. Then I changed the ROM to MR4 but still shows no service.
So again re-loaded the same 1.08 radio and as usual voice works.
Am i going wrong somewhere, can experts on the forum provide suggestions.
