So I just got a Blackberry Curve for work today. Normally I use the wing but I thought I would try out the Curve for awhile. I was wondering though if anyone knows a sight similar to xda but for blackberry? Thank you in advance.
not so much 'heavy modding', but try BlackberryForums.com for good, basic information and lots of resources...

I use Slide2Unlock and have toyed with the PocketCM and PCM Keyboards. I love Slide2Unlock. The other tools work ok for me, but not fully there yet. Still need some development on those.
I haven't used the the whole whoneedsaniphone.com thing yet. Not sure what other iPhone theme you might be speaking of...
Hello everyone, i know this question has been asked in other forums, and i looked all over this site trying to find an answer to this so i was wondering if anyone knew how to make my new Tilt have the iPhone interface w ith icons or atleast something similar to it, what is the process, what kinda program i need and what are the steps to make it look like it?? please somebody reply to this... You could try this: http://www.whoneedsaniphone.com/ I haven't gotten it to work on my Tilt, but other's have.
I installed and updated the interface and i still can't get it to run. Getting the cannot connect error. has anyone gotten this to work?

Guys, I'll put the question before the whole of our moderation team regarding the proper classification of the sub-forums.
FWIW, my understanding is:
Kaiser | Kaiser = Software
Kaiser | Upgrading = Firmware
Kaiser | Accessories = Hardware/Accessories
But give it a few days for the rest of the team to weigh-in....
stupid iphone theme
hi i tried all available "iPhone lokkalike" packs about 11 packs
its hard to get it to work but when your finishing you have to cinfigure all the icons ontop of that stupid orange fish haha
i hate this pack,s because if you launch something you see the white screens behind the iPhone theme.
it would be more interesting if the hole gui looks like iPhone
if you interested i upload all the pack to rapidsux

Just though that i would let y'all know. I just upgraded my ppc6700 to a Att Tilt.
I have an iphone and the apache belonged to my wife. After getting the tilt yesterday, i was able to install the custom roms no problem.
I tried 3 different receipies.
Stock ATT bloatware
NSE2.5
Dutty's 6.1
The NSE was nice, but not pretty enough for the woman, so i tried dutty's and she is running that now.
Just wanted to let you all know that i appreciate your work and you made it so easy! Hellalot easier than the iphone 1.0.2-.1.1.1 or 1.1.2 and the 1.1.3 hacks were.
So now i have an apache with nothing to do with it. Maybe Xanadu?
Peace!
Very good of you to says thanks. Also good to see you managed to find your way around and get and read all you needed. Your first post is a thankyou - I think we'll invite you to stay around here, you sound like the ideal newbie to the forum Of course now you'll have to help all those that do not find things as smooth as you

does anyone know of a good vnc client for the t-mobile wing??? any direction would be great... thanks in advance...
bennie
by the way, im looking for a freeware client...
::EDIT::
sorry for the double post... i thought it would auto-merge...
I Googled for "Pocket VNC" and this - http://dotnetvnc.sourceforge.net/ - was the second or third result.....looks like it'll do the job...and it's free....
(There's plenty of other alternatives returned by the above search; you might want to investigate some of those too? And if you find something that rocks, post back so the rest of us can share your findings )
Mark.
i searched in the past and downloaded a few that i wasn't particularly impressed with... i guess i should have clarified my question a little more...
i did find this one after digging a little more...

Yeah, I spotted that one, but as no-one's touched it for 4 years I figured it wouldn't be up to much - the site doesn't mention WM5, let alone WM6 so I reckon it'd be pretty shaky....YMMV
I'm sure there's loads of VNC clients around for Smartphone/PPC - everybody and his dog has done a version for Windows (and I've even used a version on HP OpenVMS )
Mark.
its working just fine... in fact, i tried a few others that didn't allow me to use my keyboard and/or mouse to take control of the host... this one does all of the things that the newer ones didn't... im very pleased thus far...
Hi All --
So sorry to bother the community with my query, but at least I'm not posting it in the ROM forum... ;-) and this might be of interest to others.
About 2 months ago, I remember browsing to a web page that detailed how to open the Tilt case and make a couple of incisions so that the viewing angle of the screen could be tilted to a more acute angle.
This is great for setting your Tilt on a car dash and using TomTom to navigate in Landscape mode.
Despite 30 minutes of messing around with the Google on teh internets, I have been unable to relocate this page.
Does anyone have a pointer?
Now that my Tilt is more than 5 months old, I'm feeling a bit bolder about cutting into it.
Thanks in advance,
-Humbert

Gracias, Amigo. It was actually on a web page that I saw it, I think, but this PDF note is great. When I get a T6 and T7, I may want to do it.
Doing hacks like this make me feel my engineering roots again....

Glad I could help.
