Tmobile MDA

Whaasup everybody . . . sorry if my question is already been asked , i search but nothing of the result could answer my question
I just bought a Tmobile MDA from Mad Monkey Boy (www.dweiniger.com) here is my question , if it says on his website that i can unlock and load any rom , and i ask him to get it unlocked , is there any spanish ROM i can load ?? im from Tijuana Mexico and it could really really help me to get this in spanish , any info or help will be much much appreciate it !!

Search forum for lokiwiz for unlocking instructions plus read the details on the wiki as well.
Go to the ftp to find ROMS ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/Wizard/Roms/
There's plenty of spanish ROMS but you'll have to work out which you want. Try anything that starts with a 2.1 rather than 1. as they are the AKU2 ROMS. You can try the cooked custom ROMS or the vendor ROMS but thats your call. Before you post about which is the best ROM to use, there's loads of threads discussing ROMS so read them before asking.

Need LATEST UK ROM FOR XDA IIS

I'm in desperate need ofLATEST UK ROM FOR XDA IIS. There r so many roms on this site.. but i wanted to get the original UK o2 rom.. also i'm not sure whether i will get a country ID code error or not.. and what am i suppose to do ... pls help me.
I recently bought this phone and i realised that i can't use mp3's as ringtones as the phone would only recognize Wav formats unlike the XDA II Mini i had.. can someone pls guide me with the latest UK rom may that will fix my dilema... I don't even know if my phone is called Alpine or Himalaya... pls help me out .. thanks.

guys someone can atleast tell me if there's a way of getting phone to use mp3 as ringtones or no.. (without actually screwing up the phone or making it unstable by downloading wm5)

If it's the XDA IIs from O2 that you have then it's not an Alpine, or a Himalaya, it's a Blue Angel!
You can confirm this by going to Settings->System->Device Information->Identity, it it says the Model No. is PH20B then you have an HTC Blue Angel branded as an O2 XDA IIs...
The latest ROM is available for download from the O2 UK website if you have an O2 number, but I'm guessing you don't... I have the O2 installer, it's 40.2MB, so if you have a site I can upload it to PM me...
More importantly, why do you want the O2 ROM? There is a little app which lets you set an mp3 file as a ringrtone without changing your ROM, and plenty of apps give that functionality as well, MortRing, PhotoContacts Pro, RingoPro etc...

thanks guys.. i finally got it done through O2 UK website... wasn't that tough... now i ordered a Tmobile MDA (wizard ).. should be getting it soon... have to unlock it... thats another task..
P.s - I hate the Stylus on this thing.. keeps coming off.. for the moment i applied tape on it.. but looks stupid if you ask me.

Newbie questions.

Hello everybody, and thanks for this website.
I am new in the PPC world and I hope I will enjoy it!
I bought my Diamond in France. It is simlocked by Orange. I already bought my unlock code (i will receive it in 7 days)
2 questions :
-Could someone describe me step by step how I can get to the page where i will have to type my code?
-I really need to get rid of this horrible Orange ROM! Can I flash my diamond before un-simlocking it, and un-simlock it when i receive the code when it will be runing on a different ROM ?

any body can answer me this problem.

There is no way to CID / SIM unlock the phone currently, no HARDSPL or any way to flash cooked roms either.
This may change in the future but for now we have to wait.

it is very powerful, strong cpu but the store only 98,8mb.

This is not enough fot you? Only few programs must be installed on device, others can be on SD card. But with cooked ROM about 150MB can be free. I hope, somebody make HardSPL for this great PPC. Cruise is large and Diamond is ****...

You should have asked in the Hard SPL thread, because cmonex follows that AFAIK. If you PM her, she'll have a look at this for you.

Getting rid of Branding...

Hi Guys,
i am completely new to this, so i could use a little help here...
I already looked up my chip (its a samsung) to help out for the HSPL, and i informed myself about the possibilities...
But i still got one big question...
Is there a way to flash a normal HTC ROM on my T-Mobile branded TP2 without using HSPL? Should i use Goldcard, and if yes, can anyone link me a good tutorial or how - to for it?
Because its anoying that you can't install skype oder any messengers and so on...
I would also upload my German T-Mobile ROM, if anyone would tell me how to backup it...

A ROM-Dump isn't really practicable because of missing HardSPL!
To get a GoldCard send cmonex a PM with the question for helping you! Got mine yesterday and the Stock HTC ROM isn't as good as my o2 Stock ROM!
BTW:
It's necessary to spend some money to cmonex for getting this little mod! But with her way of GoldCard, you can flash any Stock ROM straight from your PC to your TP2! And you will help developing HardSPL!

I hope its at least better than my stock T-Mobile, cause it really sucks and i don't get updates at all, so i still got buggy GPS and the + bug, which is really annoying...
But so far thx a lot for your help

I think it will be good for you to flash the o2 ROM as it has a huger amount of free memory and seems to be more stable than the HTC ROM, then flash Radio 3.46, which can be found here on XDA! For sure, after getting the GoldCard from cmonex/Olipro (),
