I have a TMO WING. All my pictures are stored on my SD Card and Im trying to send a picture MMS. In order to send a picture message I have to copy and paste the picture from the SD CARD to the DEVICE MEMORY in order for it to show up in the MMS picture list. Is there a way to text a picture directly from my SD Card without having to cut and paste to the device memory? Thanks for your time.
I've never had that problem. You just browse your storage card from within the MMS composer.... when you go to add a picture, at the top, in the drop down menu you have to go to "DEVICE" then tap on the folder "storage card" and you should be able to browse your storage card from there.
You can also use the file explorer to browse your storage card, and once you select the picture you want and open it, the left soft key turns into "send".
Oops...
Yeah I overlooked the Storage card folder. I was looking in the dropdown list and storage card isnt in there.
So thanks for clearing that up duprade oh and my fault for the extra post.

Are those still the changes to point the incoming mails into the internal memory..??
Example:
Code:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MAPI]
"AttachPath"="\\Storage Card\\Mail\\Attachments"
"PropertyPath"="\\Storage Card\\Mail"
Where Storage Card = Internal Memory
Any recommendations or ideas...??
I use these
http://onlydarksets.wordpress.com/2007/10/18/wm6-move-email-storage-to-sd-card/
Mail was stored under windows\mail on my Diamond, then after one hard reset mail was going to windows\Messaging ! Still used the settings in the above link replacing "Storage Card" with "Internal Storage" works fine.
HTH.
Thanks for the input fredfox_uk
Hello!
I am not finding the way to change the default proposed folder when I insert a picture in an email: it is always "My pictures" from the internal memory, not from the storage memory... In advanced config 3.3, you can only choose between "my picture" (the one from internal memory) and the DCIM folder..
Any idea?
Thanks!
Nobody is annoyed by this?
hey everyone just got a quick question,
I have a lot or ringtones and putting them in My RingTone folder and activesync document takes up a lot of the phone's memory.
Since internal storage has the most space, is it possible for me to create a RingTone folder under Internal Storage and the phone still be able to recognize the ringtones and shows up when i'm changing the tones under notification?
Or i need to change the code in the phone so it can read from internal storage to pick up the ringtones?
Thanks
nvm i got it working.. but it shows up under Music tap now.. o wells
Just put your ringtones here:
\Internal Storage\My Documents
The tones will appear for selection in any settings menu.

Generally, you can put ringtones any where and your device will automatically include them in various applications. i.e. Ringtones, Music, MMS, etc.
How to save text messages on internal memory?
I have done this before, but after resetting my phone I cant seem to remember how to do it again... I want to set up my phone so that when I receive a text message its saved on my internal storage instead of main memory.
I've tried to add additional ringtones from an SD Card. When I add them through the menu in sounds settings for Phone Ringtones, there seems to be a limit on how many I can add. Any ideas?
Make a folder on the root of your SD card titled "media" in that folder create 2 new folders name "notifications" and "ringtones"
Place the mp3 ringtones in the folder you want it in and they will show in each specific type you put it in. I have over 150+ ringtones in my ringtone folder.
Thanks.
Thank you. I had them in a folder titles My Ringtones from the WM folder of the previous phone. Works now.

Hi, I am having a different issue with ringtones. I have created two folders on the SD card called “Ringtones” and “notifications” and copied mp3’s there. I was then able to set the ringtone (default as well as custom for different contacts) and message notifications. Everything worked fine until I connected the phone to the PC and set the USB mode to HardDrive. Once I did that all the ringtones and notifications reverted back to default. I am guessing this happened because the phone is unable to access SD card while it is in the HD mode. So I created the same folders in the root of the phone and moved the mp3’s there. Now when I connect the phone to the PC and set it to HD mode, all the individual ringtones for different contact are kept but the main ringtone and message notification is still being reset.
Can anyone suggest what else I can try?
Thank you.
