I would like to do on my Kaiser what I can do on the PC:
I go inti the Internet Explorer and add a special TCPIP address and then I can see my Web camera - when I do this on the KAISER I don`t see the life pic !
Any explanations or help from the great community ?

May I ask the other way round - How co I get access to the camera in my network ????
Maybe your webcamera uses a speciel active-x component, that your Kaiser doesn't recognise... Or flash...
Yes I can choose between active x and Java ...on the PC
Activex or Java is not supported.
On your desktop, you can try to view the properties of the stream (e.g. mms://ip: port or http://ip: port/camimg.jpg) and try to open it directly on your device.
The best solution I found sofar for viewing ipcameras/webcameras on my tytn2 is webcamxp (http://www.webcamxp.com/).
They have a nice pocketpc/smartphone interface.
It works very well if you install the adobe flash plugin (http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer_pocketpc/) on your device.
I read about the flash player - could describe me what the use of it will be ?
In addition to activex and java, webcampxp has the possibility to broadcast in flash. Use the flash plugin to display the live stream in PIE.
The flash player plays flash files (as the name indicates).
Obviously webcamxp converts your webcam pics into flash format, which you can view with flash player.
Thanks a lot for your kind help ....I installed now the flash player but when I go into the IE and add the TCPI adress of the camera (http://....) there is still no change - I see nothing ???
Can I see with the flash player the live pics ???
It will most likely not work with your current webserver software/hardware as you said it is only capable of activex and java broadcasting.
webcamxp is just another webserver software solution which runs on your desktop. It supports most ipcameras. In combination with the flash plugin you are able to view your ipcameras on your tytn
So for all other programms it will not be of help ? only in conjunction with webcampyx ??
Myrin
Another alternative is viewcommander mobile (http://www.ivimg.com/products/vcmobile.htm). With this application installed on your device you can connect directly to your ipvideoserver. No use of PIE.
I couldn't however view a live camstream over a gprs/umts connection. Viewing with a wlan connection worked fine.
With this software it works !!! thanks so much for this advice ...
Hi Peter, as your question is now answered I thought it would be ok to hijack the thread. Could I ask what software you are using to host your webcam on your server?
I would like to do the same with my logitech quickcam and windows home server.
One camera is from axis the other from trust - both have there special software.

I have searched the site and found a bunch of threads on viewing you tube vids, however there are so many post edits etc. that I can't follow which .cab etc we are supposed to be using.
I have downloaded that TCMP and the new version of flashget but still no luck.
Can someone that has a tilt please post what they are using and if it works on this thread - many thanks!!!!
I simply go the mobile version of you tube (m.ca.youtube.com). When I click on a video link the HTC Streaming application (which came with my Kaiser) starts up and plays the video. That simple.
Two notes, however;
1) Over my WiFi connection I need to configure my wifi router to put my Kaiser in the "DMZ - Demilitarized Zone" so as to allow full access to the internet. Otherwise the RTSP streaming fails and the HTC Streaming application complains about an inability to access the connection.
2) Streaming doesn't work over GPRS for me. This is most likely due to my cell phone carrier not allowing full internet access (much like when I don't have my WiFi router configured to put my Kaiser in the DMZ).
To use the "proper" YouTube, as opposed to the mobile version, you need these two .cabs:

I have both of these intstalled with duttys rom ver 4 and I still get the "failed to find network" error in streaming media when using 3g att or wifi. I used to have no problem streaming vids (besides it being really slow and chopy) over att when I was using an older duttys touchflo 6 for att.
I searched too but all I found was some blurbs about youtube changing addressed and wifi in DMZ mode (which neither seemed to apply)
but I am a tard so who knows...

Follow these steps & pay attention...
Dude, Seriously...You may have read the thread, but you really need to pay attention to what you read. FLASHGET??? FLASH LITE??? Both of these have NO IMPACT on playing flash video.
What you need is:
(A) TCPMP either .72 or .81 (You said you have)
(B) FlasVideoBundle
Instal This:
http://rapidshare.com/files/87945596/FlashVideoBundle.CAB
After installing, make sure that the following files were all copied to the TCPMP root directory (i.e. For .72 \Programs\TCPMP or \Storage Card\Programs\TCPMP or for .81 \Programs\TCPMP\Player):
DiagVL.exe
DisableVL.exe
flvffmpeg.plg
flvsplitter.plg
MenuToggle.exe
VideoLoader.dll
These files must be in the TCPMP directory! It should do it automatically if you use .72. However, for .81 you must copy the files by hand.
After insuring the files have been coppied to the right directory, then launch TCPMP & go to preferences & set the file associations for the flash video, i.e. flv)
Note: without the current version of FlashBundle Youtube will no longer work. I have attached the most current version to the link above.
AND YES, you must use either PIE or (OPERA Mobile 8.65 (NOT MINI) with the macromedia flash player 7).

Dude, excuse the hell out of me...when neither the TCPMP and flashvideo bundle worked - someone suggested flash lite so I installed that as well...I don't think I EVER read where you couldn't use opera mini - thank you to you guys for pointing that out. I will try what you just posted, thanks for taking the time to help someone who obviously "didn't pay attention to what I read"
I can provide some insight, although I really new at this. I installed both cabs and can view all youtube videos through a portal site called ytpocket.com, using the search field at the top. This does not address the larger issue of how to play streaming flash videos from other websites. Specifically, on real youtube, I get the error message "youtube swf args not found" and the title bar of the error message is "VideoLoader." I have no idea what this means.
I also can't get the m.youtube.com site to play videos becuase the Real Player doesn't recognize 3gp files, and my attempts to associate these files with TCMP have apparently failed.
Hope this helps and hope someone smarter than me can solve these two problems! Thanks all.
dt, for the mobile youtube, install htc streaming media
Hi.
After hours of searching and reading here and endless talks with my mobileoperator without any luck, I turn to this fantastic community for your help.
My mobileoperator offers a "newspackage" which includes access to livestreaming of some of their tv programs. These are supposed to be viewed in Streaming Media, but I can't get it to work. I get a "Network cannot be found" error. It works on my Hermes, so I'm wondering if this is due to the lack of videodriver or if it's something else TyTNII related? All I can find here when searching is solutions to YouTube viewing problems.
Does anyone have any ideas or something I can try?
I'm using an original HTC WM 6.0 ROM (5.2.1620 18125.0.4.2) DK-version, but I don't mind to have a WWE version of Streaming Media, if that's gonna fix my problem.
Thank you in advance.
How is the media streamed?
Through RTSP, MMS, HTTP, ASX,...?
Normally this can be seen by checking the 'prefix' of the link or the extension.
I presume you have already tested every possible type of data connection to stream the data? (Wifi, EDGE, UMTS, 3G - whichever is applicable)

On AT&T here in USA, I get this error if the hidden proxy is enabled. Don't know if you have a proxy with your carrier - if you do, try disabling it.

It's streamed through RTSP..
I have tried a lot of different settings and even a few versions of HTC Streaming applications, without luck. When I first had my Hermes it didn't work, but after installing a Dopod 838 ripped Streaming player, I had it running.. Sad thing is, I can't find a similar rip for the Kaiser..

I have done a lot of testing myself some time ago because I wanted to stream my own media over Wifi to my Kaiser.
But I never got it to work.
I had 2 RTSP servers running: VLC player and Live555 Media server.
=> Connecting over PC to the RTSP server: no problem
=> Connecting over home network (Wifi) to RTSP server (my PC) with Kaiser: NOT working
I tried the following apps:
Streaming Media app
Windows Media
TCPMP
Coreplayer
RealOne Player
PocketTV
VLC player PocketPC edition (discontinued project)
mPlayer PocketPC release
Absolutely none of these applications worked... Every app produced its own error.
(I switched to Orb but that is not relevant to your problem)
NOTE: Coreplayer v1.2, which will be released later today (21 Feb '08), will support RTSP. This might solve the problem...

Here are some screen shots and a link for a beta version.
I'm waiting for your help and comments to improve Diamond TV.

Not installed yet but what predefined channels do you have for the UK? Is Sky News one of them?
I have a Diamond, but will I have to install the.net framework? I dont like clogging my system memory.
I'm running it through UMTS/HSDPA at around 70 kbyte/s... works great!
Sinsanatic, perhaps it's cause your run Mediaplayer which doesn't support well the GPU. I had this problem too just when i bought my Diamond. If you install coreplayer (not free, but great anyway!) you will find out that your video streams wonderful.
I think that .NET Framework 2.0 is part of WM6.
It was already installed no my Diamond when I got it.
Please have a look at my Web site for a list of currently supported channels (http://www.ds-info.fr/DiamondTV/versioninfo.html) and how to have a free license key by sending me new channels (http://www.ds-info.fr/DiamondTV/freelicense.html).
Thanks

Hello,
I was wondering if there are people who are interested in watching live tv on there windows mobile phone from your pc at home...(?)
Last week i was searching for tools/progs like snapstream(stream live tv/record/schedule etc...) but it wasn't working good enough for me...
I just wanted a simple program to scan for tv channels...name them...and watch them on my kaiser...
So after a few hours programming... it worked
A moment ago i was driving my car and watching tv(350kb(its)s) on my kaiser over hsdpa / umts using my tv card in my pc at home...
The only thing i need to do is make a simple GUI that you can access on your kaiser using pocket ie/opera etc... In this webpage there will be very big buttons (for ex. CNN) so when you press this verry big button (you can't miss ) it will start CNN in TCMPM or windows media player...
(These buttons will be created dynamicly using a xml with your tv channels/freq/descriptions) so you can customize it or auto scan for channels...
Also you will be able to customize output quality...
Are there people who are interested in this? If so i'll will post some beta versions here
Let me know!
God bless!
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok well...
I made an installer you can download it at: ShareTV
It is an early version of it, but for me it works great!
Before you install ShareTV.msi
- install Microsoft .NET framework v3.5
- install windows media encoder v9
ShareTV will automaticly startup a little http/wwwebserver on port 80... but if you need to change this port number (firewall/dmz or what else) it's possible! Just take a look at ShareTV.exe.config!
In wwwroot folder you will find index.htm and template.htm. template.htm is needed to export your channels...
So first Autoscan channels in ShareTV after this you can (if you like) customize this index.htm the way you want!
Enoy! And if you have quetions or suggestion don't hesitate and please let me know!
Her are some screenshots...

The only thing is that this pc must have a tv capture card
Orb works OK if you have the TV tunercard and dont wanna spend any money, but if your willing to spend a little cash go for a cheap slingbox off ebay and you will have your entire cable line-up at your disposal.
I've found a app called Mytinytv where you can stream tv but the only problem is (for me) he find only one channel so if you can make something that works with my hercules smarttv i would love it
