Hiya.
I have been searching for this problem for some time. Basically when i go 2 send a text, i select 1 of the touch keypads and the crappy windows keyboard stays up.grrrrr
The thing is that was 1 of many problems, so i finally got round 2 flashing my rom (with 1 of dutty's, hes a leg) and after two hours the same thing happens again
What could be doing this, or even better how do i fix this?
Please Help
Thanks
Scott
Hiya again!!!!
I got it sorted i knew as soon as i posted asking 4 help. It would fix itself.
Thanks and sorry if i wasted anybodys time

Ok mate, I have this touch keypad installed and everytime I press the spacebar too soon(before the text I just typed gets deselected) it deletes the selected text!!!
Any way to fix this? Or decrease the time the text is "selected"??
hey, got a small bug using s2u2 for some time now: its just when the diamond is in sleep mode and i push the on/off-button, the phone wakes up, but only for half a second the screen with the s2u2wallpaper is shown, then it just disappears making it impossible for me to unlock it by sliding. then i have to push the on/off-button again, and then the screen stays and i'm able to unslide the phone.
its not really a big problem, but it keeps buggin me. if anyone got any experience with this one, please help !
thanks in advance!
toRf
Sorry, I can't help you. But can I suggest you post your issue in the S2U2 thread, where the developer and the many other users might be of help? Good luck!
hey guys
Iam new to the site so sorry id this is in the wrong section.
I recently bought a G1 ( i know Iam late but i never relle liked T-Mobile ). I unlocked my "USED" G1 and been using it for a week or so. Heres the problem..
I dropped it "once" from a very small height and as soon as I pick it up, the phone didnt wanna turn on at all. I went home tried charging it and it worked...
BUT when I turned it on, I noticed that neither does the "TALK" "END" or "HOME" buttons dont work. All the other buttons seem to work fine, includint the touchscreen. My friend owns a cell phone store and tells me its gonna cost me 50 dollars if not more to fix this issue, besides the fact that I spend 90 on the phone + 20 to unlock it.
Please help on wheather I could fix this problem myself or if its fixable at all.
Thank you very much for taking your time to read this long paragraph and try to help me solve my dilema.
Andrew.

Hi Andrew,
There are two possibilities here. One is that the ribbon to the button panel has fallen out. The other option is that the ribbon / button panel has been damaged,
Either way, you'll need to open it up. If you feel uncomfortable opening it, then I'd suggest finding a friend who is comfortable with opening small electronics.
Sorry, I don't have any pictures of the connection. It should be a removable ribbon cable, however.
the ribbon probably didn't come off... That one is taped and has a good connector.. Best thing about where it is, is that it comes out easy.. Like 7 screws and a little pry action.. If its not the connection I have a spare daughter board... Pm me for details..
There is a good g1 teardown tutorial on youtube... Search g1 disassembly..
