Hi guys,
I need your help. I've subscribed the new SFR "Illimythics" plans to use with my new HTC Kaiser.
Well, my problem is I cannot access the Vodafone live! site.
I have the HTC TyTN II brand (retail product, not the operator's version). HTC has included an "Auto-configuration" feature which detects, at the first startup, my operator: SFR
After the initial setup, I can access to my SFR email (using outlook), google, SFR... but I cannot access live.vodafone.com (for TV or music)
On the other hand, I don't have any problem to access live.vodafone.com with the Nokia 6120 sold with my SFR "Illimythics" plan
Any suggestions? Any ideas? Is someone here using the Kaiser with SFR? If so, please post the configuration

I posted a cab last week which may help. I haven't tested this personally as I'm on t-mob but apparently it does work with the UK Vodafone live service.

Brahim, I couldn't get your solution working. I've tried many times... I have even used my Cab Manager 2.1.0.35 to make a proper cab to modify the registry. I have also tried with and without browser.dll. I could get a connexion but just in text mode.
hicks solution is fine. You do need to replace the original browser.dll for the one included in Enable_Vodafone_Live_on_Kaiser.zip That's the trick!
After a few tests, I have repacked hicks solution with a couple of corrections (registry entries and some cab values).
It's warking like a charm

can you surf on others sites than vodafone portal as said in the ad ?

i found a cheap QTEK 9100 (or MDA Vario, HTC Wizard, etc.) but only in ENG rom. When dutch rom is been found, i'll buy it and upgrade it then...

can anyone please help me getting an Dutch T-Mobile ROM ? the one that was originally installed on the Dutch MDA Vario here in Holland ?
i bought mine last week, but flashed an english i-mate ROM in a hurry.
now i have to return the device to the shop and i need the orgininal ROM so i can flash it back to default... (stupid me forgot to dump the original ROM to sd )

I've done an r2sd all dump and will create the image tomorrow at work. Ill upload it to the FTP for all to use

As seen you flashed your MDA Vario with the Qtek one (NLD or WWE from the ftp site ??) and did you notice any difference ?
Like faster response, more memory, no tMobile stuff, Wifi from B to G... ??
And what is your ROM version, Date and Radio version now ?
I'm also thinking of "upgrading" to Qtek or Kjam flash, but I can't find responses on the result.......

Its working fine, can connect to wifi now didnt really work with tmobile stuff on it.
Speed? Dunno if its faster, doesnt seem faster.

I have a dutch Qtek login , but there no dutch rom on the support site . They expect to have a rom update in February 2006 . :roll:

i try to update my vario tmobile with it but it is not the right one i get as messege

2 Mikulec: skus pozret na www.ce4you.cz, podla mna tam konfiguracne caby na pomaranc SK su. Podla mna ak casto nemenis SIM, je lepsie installnut si len cab(asi 50-60kb) ako ConnSetup(asi 700kb).

2 Mikulec: try to check www.ce4you.cz, i think there are operators sett. in cab file for Orange SK. If u dont change SIMs often, its better way - cab is about 50-60kb, Conn.Sett about 700kb.

Hello did you find any SFR ROM ? In fact I would like to have this ROM before making un un-branded phone on my X1.
I could also try to dump the ROM but I jut found how to dump the ROM but not the Radio, splash screen or SPL.

In order to keep your warranty you might want this
