So this is the second time the screen on my Tilt has shown up as just scrambled snow. (See attached Pic)

This is the second time it has happened upon resuming my Tilt from sleep. The only way to correct it is to soft reset the phone. Not a huge deal, but it is a little unnerving to resume my Tilt from sleep and see that mess.
The first time it happened shortly after installing the HTC Album viewer (can't remember the build). So I quickly uninstalled it.
I have since then installed a newer build of HTC Album (which is a really nice app, when it works) and have had it installed for a few days. Sure enough, today this screen showed up again.
Has anyone else seen this before?
weird - i havent had that happen to me (yet? :S)
I had this happen once after just getting the phone. I hadn't changed or installed anything at that point
i have had this happen once to me, when i flashed a new rom it gave me this screen after the boot up screen, waited and tried soft resetting and hard resetting and reflashing and nothing could fix it so i just reflashed a different rom and never saw the problem again, maybe try a hard reset if you arent too worried about settings?
Edit: i have a Tilt
For those that have seen this screen on your device, do you have Tilts or TyTn IIs?
Well I had it after installing some game, that seems to didn't support the tytn II stuff.... In normal work it never occured to me. I Would also suggest hard reset, maybe an app screwed it up...
If everything above doesnt resolve the issue, i will suggest take it back to the vendor you got it from and get it replaced ..

I Should Have
After looking i havnt found anything but i found out that i could have backed up an old rom on my mini sd card just in case
This is the bootloader screen. Follow this tutorial:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298613
You are in the bootloader, this is good. Your phone is not a brick. Just reflash a full (preferably a carrier rom) while on this screen and the USB letters are in the corner of the screen. Once your device boots again you can then flash back whatever compatible to your device rom you choose.
Yeah i fixed it thanks for the help
Since im on here i have another little question lol
Im using WM6 and in the today screens i want to change the default one but i cant find the .tsk file anywhere in the files
i cant stand the background it has
is it embedded in something where i cant access it
if so is there a way to change it
its kinda of a stupid issue but it bothers me lol
thanx

Exactally one day after I received my replacement 8925, the screen on the new device died. The screen almost looks like the contrast is maxed out but I dont think that is the problem. I can barely make out the today screen if I strain my eyes.
I double checked the power options and the backlight is set at the midpoint. I have also tried soft resets and removing the battery, neither seemed to work.
My first 8925 suffered from the RLOD failure. FYI - both the charger and battery are different from what came with my original. Ill try to remember to take some pics tonight if you guys are interested.
Please help! I really do not want to have to send this one back too.

screen locked
today
found this on the HTC wiki, it's a much better description of my problem but there was not a solution posted with it.
"My tilt phone screen unexpectedly became very white, with the icons almost appearing as negative images. There seem to be a few lines that run across the screen that seem 'burned in'."
here is the rom, radio and protocol data if it matters.

anyone?
I have the EXACT SAME problem with the tilt I've been using for TWO HOURS. My screen looks exactly the same as yours.
What ended up happening for you?
Anyone have anything to contribute?
Arranged to send it back for a new one. Really hope this doesn't happen again.
I've the same problem. My phone felt down and then it happend. I've checked all powertape's connecting screen keyboard and mainboard. It look's like screen problem.
i just got my phone yesterday after swapping my old tilt for replacement and after a few modifications here and there (personalizing,, not cooking...) ive noticed that my menus disappear after "hovering" through them,.. idk why.. here are some pics.. everytime i restore my phone, the same thing happen..
btw, this only happens on landscape..

what i have right now is the stock ATT wm6.1 rom (came with the phone)
any ideas?!?!?!?!
one of the cabs is causing this, I would hard reset, then install the cabs one by one , with a soft reset in between till the problem shows up...
This had happened to me.. but it went away. I remember that I installed Celeris Virtual Pool...and while trying to figure out the stylus controls, something went wrong.. and the touch screen lost its responsiveness and I could see these lines in place of menus.
Hard reset and I would say.. remove all the games.
well.. i tried doing hard resets like 6-7 times already...
right now, its pretty stable.. i found online that enabling cleartype on landscape mode does this,..
i tried restoring the phone without the cleartype on while installing everything else and its ok for now...
but my question is, is there a fix to this bug.. somewhere...?
answer to problem
you have to disable cleartype. that it what is causing your problem. it works fine in portrait mode but for some reason htc messed it up on landscape mode. just turn off cleartype and soft reset
Something strange that has been happening with all the Tilts in our company:
For many months, we never had a problem with DirectPush or ActiveSync. One day, I started to get complaints from users that their phones were burning through batteries in just a couple of hours. Upon investigation I found that direct push was causing active sync to constantly sync the calendar on the phone. What was confusing was that the appointment count just kept getting higher until you either stopped the sync (sometimes even after you clicked stop it would just keep going) or shut the phone off.
I found that re imaging the phone or doing a successful manual sync before attempting to enable automatic direct push on the phone sometimes would cure the problem for a while .
Still the problem keeps happening. I am not sure if perhaps there is something in exchange that is wrong or if its something else. Has anyone else run into this?
Yes, I just starting noticing it with the newest builds but I have not found time to look for a solution as it really isn't that important to me right now.

I had this happen to me a couple of days ago with the HDIV rom. It seemed to tied to the calendar. Activesync seemed fine when I unchecked the calendar. I ended up hard-resetting and things got back to normal

Me as well...
One other thing, I don't remember having this issue before we upgraded the phones to the WM 6.1 image from HTC.
As a test, I moved back to WM 6.0 to see if that makes any difference.
I was so happy to learn that my brand new phone did not have any screen rotation issue and I updated ASAP so I would avoid that.
so I recieve a call from my wifem and...I cant hear her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
speaker works fine, no bluetooth connected, I have diabled everthing from blutooth to hd calling, to popping out sim card to factory reset, davik cache...low battery mode, I am stressed out..I cant use my old s4 as a phone now and Im am tired of thinkering with this new phone that is broken.... after reading about so many crappy stories and having had an s3 note 3 s4 now a edge s6..I am totally stressed out.
I dont see anyone else experiencing this..I guess I am off to the store tomorrow..
sigh............................!!!!!!!!! wasted hours trying to correct it
factory reset is what i would try
What version are you?
I am on the latest update. ( on general thread marked june 2nd update, I compared it and its the latest one as I got an update as soon as I started the phone.
I factory restored 3 times, the high def. call, on - off, google now "okay google" off
repeatedly pushed speaker on/off, was never hooked up to bluetooth but did that and tried on and off, plugged headphone in and out like 5 times....sigh ..
was loving it SO much until I noticed it was having this handset problem, if my wife hadnt called me I would have not known til today..
funny thing is my retailer told me that these phones are having LOTS of problems...I told them well not the gold ones and hopefully mines from vietnam not china....
I didnt have the screen rotation problem, I dont use it anyways. I almost feel like the retailer jinx'd me...
was LOVING the gold....
