As you see in Title its a MUI ROM, means many Languages are inserted... you can choose them as you like trough the options menue...

Sorry guys but i have expected an error.... don't know whats the Problem hopefully i find some solution for it... the "Flash Video Player" (to watch Youtube Videos) isn't working correctly...

havent tried installing with vista so i don't know.
I'm sure that it's only german because i installed this rom. and removed it because of the german language...
Only german appears on the options.
as i suspected there is some conflit in the registry.
If you go to local machine->MUI you can add the languages... Futureshock please check that. i already added the string for portuguese, but only some parts of the OS appear in portuguese, mostly appears in english wich is good enough for me. That means that theres no portuguese in rom.

I just installed Molski's AKU3.2 Rom and have big problems making my german keyboard work because the old "Locale" Registry key which did set the keyboard in AKU2 Roms, doesn't work anymore.
I already found out that it has something to do with the "keyboard layout/Preload" settings which are bound to an IME. Problem is these AKU3.2 Roms have only English IME Layout's installed (309) no German's (307).
Is there still a way to make the german keyboard work? I think there must be a way because the HTC Hermes has exactly the same keyboard as the wizard and it is shipped with a AKU3 Rom.
But as I have absolutely no clue, how to get this working it would be great if some registry geniuses and rom specialists could help me.

Softkeyboard still english
The hades language pack works great except for one thing: I still have an english softkeyboard althouth the hades language pack says that it also changes the softkeyboard. Do you use any thirdparty keyboard software with molski's AKU 3.2 for having a german keyboard layout for the softkeyboard as well? Or is there any special setting or registry key which changes this.

i too isntalled the language pack and after that nothing works... phone boots up, i can enter pin, then enter sim pin and everything hangs...
you still have no problems?
i'm trying actual to restore the phone...
it seems that the problem is not the language pack, after resetting, the phone still have these problems after installing some software but not the language pack... hm

Sorry, it was my falt. The language pack only set everything for the qwertz-keyboard. but not the softkeyboard. Sorry. That ist still english

Yes I also found out that the Hades language Pack does not set the softkeyboard.
After much research it seems that there is no way to change the softkeyboard unless someone has found the needed rom files from a german rom but it doesn't look like althouth someone has tried with SKTools.
So now I'm using Resco Keyboard Pro which allows me to choose the softkeyboard layout and set it to german. Works great but the downside of it is that it's not free software.
how to change the english language on the mteor to dutch? i have a htc mteor, and i assume this one is cidlock free. i tried to download an dutch htc mteor rom from the website, but none of the links work on the htc website. so i cannot find a dutch rom. i only want to change the language (os) from english to dutch...
any help is appreciated.

what i meant (or should have written down), is that the os on my mteor is english. thus having a WWE rom on it. what i want, is the Dutch rom on it. so i need to flash it with the dutch rom. for that i need a dutch originally shipped mteor rom. at least, i believe that i can reflash it on my mteor without getting the wrong vendor id / country error (thus hoping that the mteor is cidlock free!!)

you are right!!! i assumed i had to reflash the os to get the dutch language like one has to do with the qtek 9100 etc. but you are right, in the preferences you can change the language...
thanx for your reply, as you might have guessed... this is my first smartphone in a line of many other smartphones like the mda compact 1 to 3, htc wizard, tytn.....
so i wasn't quite familiar with the option to change the language inside the european rom itself
i just bought today a htc shift, from the internet ,when i opened it i descoverd that the windows is in italian language ,how i can change it to english ? ,i don`t know italian please help.

Download one of the custom ROMs available in the forum.
Hint: look for Thaihugo 1.22.x ROM, pliROM or udK's WM 6.1 (blackstone) in the Shift Upgrading forum.

Look for Change Vista Language ISO file, download it and burn a CD with it. Then download English Language pack available in the same thread.
Copy it to C:\ on your vista. Reboot the machine with th change language iso cd. follow the instructions and you added english pack to your os. and next time when you reboot the box, it will be in english.

For SnapVue:
1. liberate it (google: modaco liberate shift)
2. install HardSPL
3. Flash any Custommade Rom in this forum
For Vista:
1. Get online
2. Download Vista MUI package from microsoft. (google: microsoft MUI vista download)
3. Install it !
Done
ps. i would recommend you to install Windows7 or XP cause its much smoother

i dont have Slovak ROM. Only this program HTC HD 5in1 can change the language to slovak... but its not working.
hi i am confused : i did a search but didn't understand ! i have a new HTC HD7 with German winmo7 and i want to flash it with an English ROM. do i need to sid unlock the phone or no ? I know that for cooked rom we need hard or soft hspl ! but i don't know if the roms posted here are cooked or not ( i suppose that signed = officiel ) but i'm not sure !

Just go to the menu and change it... You don't have to flash anything.
Just change the language settings to English. No need to flash the ROM. Everything will work fine except the tele navigator application which will still be in German language.
In case you don't speak German, it's
Einstellungen (Settings) -> Region & Sprache (Region & Language), then change the Anzeigesprache (Display Language) from Deutsch to English and tap on the link that appears - 'Tippen Sie hier...' (Tap here...). The phone will reboot into English.

There is no Telmap Navigator yet. In the phone is just Tile with an ad and screenshots, saying, that it will be available soon. As it is written in other thread, it should be available in two weeks.
hd7 change language
