Can anybody tell me how to enable WAP-Push on my herald?
WAP push? Do you mean push mail through a "wap" connection? (Read:T-zones.)
i mean (sms) messages with wap-links. what are t-zones?
T-Zone's is what Tmobile calls their WAP plan.
So you're getting SMS with links to wap sites but are unable to click on them?
my provider is e-plus (germany) - they call it handy mail.
when a new email comes in my herald wake up, all ligthts are blinking on time but no message appears. there is no sms with any link.
i think it´s a problem with the security of windows mobile...

I can't seem to send an MMS, I have my internet configured properly, I can connect to my GPRS (wap.voicestream.com)
and I setup my MMS Settings according to T-Mobile
# Enter 216.155.165.050 in the Gateway field.
# Enter 8080 in the Port number field.
# Enter http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms in the Server Address field.
# WAP 2.0
But somehow or another I can't seem to send a picture, I used to be able to with my last old phone (razor)... but since I switch my sim cards and used WM6 I am unable to send messages, any other configuration options I should try? Please help
--I've tried other ports besides 8080, since other sites say like 9201, etc.
I don't have the internet package for my plan, however I am able to send 400 MMS/SMS Messages, and always was able too... when I connect to the internet on my phone, it goes threw, and when I try to do something on IE, or AIM or whatnot, it doesn't work, obviously I'll assume its because I don't have the package... But I can't understand why I cannot send a message with a picture attached :-/.
yes i have the same problem
i have the wing. and i used to have a razr i have att and can receve mms messages but can not send and they seem to be small, but from what i have been told you have to have a data plan. i really hope thats not true but thats what iv been told.
use HTC Network Wizard..if u are using WM6 then its already there..and if u configured using it then maybe ur provider has changed some settings..give them a visit or a call and ask them for ur settings
I've been through the settings several times and I just simply can't get this to work even with the settings that T-Mobile gave me or with the Network Wizard. Any one had a break through with this?
which ROM are u using ?
The one stickied at the top of the forum by c_shekhar
Info:
ROM: 7.0c.40CS (WM6 AKU 7.0)
dated: 12.Nov.2007
OS 5.2.1908 (Build 18508.0.7.0)
To register for a E+ handymail service, I should receive a wap push message with a registration link. But my tytn II only switches the light on, and I can't find the message itself.
Any idea where to search for it? SMS and mail are not the right positions.
Sorry for the maybe stupid answer and thanks

Err, you have to remember, this is a WORLDWIDE forum. Your public profile says NOTHING!!
How are the majority to know what E+ handymail service is??? Let alone give you an answer.
Hi, I know that this is an worldwide forum. And I think, that the content of the wap push message doesn't have any impact to the answer of the question. Maybe I'm wrong...
To explain:
E+ is a german network operator
handymail is an application, where E+ collects up tp 5 different POP3 mailboxes and send immediate messages (also via wap push) to the mobile

Ah, good. Well, I will exit here and let someone else try to help you cause it DOES sound operator specific does it not??....
I've got a strange/annoying issue dealing with MMS messaging on my new Tilt.
Current goodies on the Tilt:
ROM: ShogunMark's Deathv4.1
3.55.502.1 WWE (6/15/08)
Radio: 1.65.20.29
SPL: HardSPL-3.56
As far as I can tell, I have all the current ATT network settings. I can send MMS messages, and anyone can receive them. I can send MMS to myself, and I can receive that. Another user on ATT can send me MMS. And I can send MMS to myself from my desktop email (using [email protected]). People on other networks (T-Mobile, Verizon, and Sprint that I've tested so far) cannot send me MMS. On their end, it shows everything being sent just fine, and they don't get any error messages. But I never receive the messages. Not even if they send the MMS to my phone's email addy from their device.
I talked to ATT support yesterday trying to verify the network settings, and the support rep couldn't even find what settings I was supposed to have. Though he did identify that a MMS enabled flag on my account was set to NO. He set that to yes, I reset the phone and reconnected to ATT.... and I still have the same issue. That network setting didn't seem to change anything.
I've read all the threads I can find about MMS issues, and none of them address this problem (at least that I can see).
At any rate, my current MMS server settings are as follows. Can anyone verify these for me?
Server name: AT&T MMS
Gateway: wireless.cingular.com
Port number: 80
Server address: http://mmsc.cingular.com
Connect via: MEdia Net
Send limit: 1200K
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
John
similar problem
I have an att tilt and gullums throttle diamond I multi language rom...i installed arcsoft latest version and now i have the menu and mms options under the menu tab in messaging and can send mms now but not receive....ive also tried installing the MMS medianet settings cabs posted another thread and still cannot receive ..ive also tried sending msgs to myself which does not work but if i reply to one of my own mms messages that i tried to send and select mms (you can select mms or sms options to reply) and then i can receive one of my own but this is the only message i am able to receive.
It ended up that the MMS flag on my account (that the support rep reset) was the culprit (I think). Two days after he made the change, I received a whole mess of media messages. Since then, I've had no problems at all, even going through several different ROMs.
Give ATT support a ring and see if they can figure anything out.
Hello,
I currently have no data plan on my phone and I was wondering if the MMS messages are stored on the server until you access. The reason I ask is I don't see a send/receive button like I had on my MDA and I never get any MMS when I finally turn my data on when I am expecting a message. Do the messages just delete themself if delivery is failed ?
Thanks for your help
Hi guys
I'm in the UK and I send a lot of MMS to the US as I don't get charged for sending them because it comes out of my data allowance. I'm finding the WM6.1 Arcsoft client a huge pain in the ass to work with when sending MMS Messages. Does anyone know of any other MMS client that I can use whether it's free or something I have to buy doesn't make a difference.
With the Arcsoft WM6 MMS if I send an MMS with text only it does annoying things like prompt you "this message has no media would you like to send it as text?" which gets annoying after the first 100 times...
