bricked trinity, please help

Hi guys,
I tried to upgrade my trinity and it stopped at 80% with error about connection problem. I've entered bootloader manually (I get:
"TRIN100
IPL-0.50
TRIN100
SPL-1.07.0000")
I then run the updater again, and it fails at %1 every time with "error 270"
How can I restore my device ?

Which updater are you using?
Try a ROM that matched your CID (official HTC Rom if you have a non-branded device).

The crash happened when I tried to update to mUn wm6 rom
Now I've got the same issue (error 270) with all the roms (even the one matching my CID)
The problem is that it says that my device sould be synchronized with activesync but I cannot connect to activesync as it only start in bootloader.

You definitely should've followed other forum member's suggestion to flash HSPL before trying mUn's WM6 ROM... I might be able to help you, though, contact me in private if you want.

I hope your trin will get alive again!!!

stepw sent me a tool he made to flash HSPL from the PC. As he is still working on it, he asked me not to distribute it but I think you can ask him with a private message

A little correction - HSPL was NOT flashed to tonio94's device, unless he flashed it manually.

sorry if this post seems to be a repeat , but i tried the search option and the results were not fruitful
a friend of mine , while trying to upgrade to a TNT ROM , didn't HardSPLed the device first , and successfully changed the ROM of the device , now it is stuck on the blue screen with SPL and IPL versions , and no response . for some reason , the device can go to bootloader mode , but it can not be reflashed , and it does not respond to a hard reset command.
please advise on what to do

When it is in the bootloader mode, and connected via USB, is there a little USB icon in the bottom left? If so, simply flash your phones carrier ROM and all should be fine with it again. You can then apply HardSPL and flash to the TNT or any other ROM that you want to. Is your device a G3 or G4 by the way? What are the numbers after IPL and SPL?

well my friend says that the USB icon is visible there , and the device was indeed a G4. the thing is , what exactly should he do , in order to flash the ROM , since non of imate roms work for it. should he use any special software?

Is he using Vista or XP?

he is using Windows XP , could it be the PC OS that caused interference?

Well, only if it is Vista does it really matter. He needs to get ahold of an original carrier ROM, such as the O2, or T-Mobile one and flash it to his phone, then HardSPL it, then upgrade to 6 or 6.1.

Download and flash Wizard_love Rom,it might do the trick,then HardSPL and upgrade to any wm6 or 6.1 rom.
What exact error it gives while flashing imate official rom ?

well the wizard has been an imate ,and it was flashed with an Original imate ROM already , but no success , any other suggestions?

it also gives a failure message while trying to manually Hard Reset after upgrade

It seems you need to follow the drugstore MiniSD upgrade but...
I guess you dont have another wizard to make a bacuk up... so wait a minute...

Hang in bootloader

Hi @ all,
**** happens, yesterday i tried to upgrade my rom on charmer (mda compact 2).
During installation system hangs on and didn´t finish.
So now i have only the startscreen and can reach the bootloader.
Tried now to flash an original rom, the ruu says error 294 invalid vendor id.
Otherwise the ruu (for no id) ended with error 238 file read.
My bootloder shows IPL 1.12, SPL 1.12 and USB connected.
I have read a lot of threads but cant find a answer for that.
Has anyone a good idea?

Are you trying to flash WM6 ROM to your charmer? Because WM6 required IPL and SPL level at least 2.xx.
Did you tried this method to bring charmer back to life?

Today i tried to update my rom... while the update i had an error.
i had updated the http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=363882
after the hardreset the phone hang by the first screen. I can press everething but nothing happens.
now I tried to flash a nother rom but it is unpossible because it can´t connect with windows mobile center on the pc.
Has anyone a good idea?

[Q] HardSPL Problem!!!

i've got a problem... i have tried to flash hardspl (bootloader) on my x1 but it doesnt work.
i have tried it like i read in the forum in different threads but i cant enter bootloader and when i start hardspl on my pc and take step by step as the program says... after the progression bar came - my phone display goes black and the front panel starts to shine and after a time i get a connection error on the hardspl program...
can anybody pls help me????

did you take out your micro sd card out of your phone?

Several time ago i got that error too, but i never give up. Try another hardspl for xperia, when u click it, it will auto generate to extract some file, just click romupdate utility and follow the same procedure.
If still got some error, try install it from a fresh computer with usb 2.0 installe and active synch.
You just got that error becouse there is some miss connection with another usb device.

UPDATE: it worked
So I did a hard reset on the phone (settings-> clear storage) and then tried again. Worked like a charm. Installing ROM right now!

Might have been more help asking in the hspl thread but nevermind . Try a different cable (most mini usb cables will do)

no need to go crazy, this can be fixed.
you shouldn't enter the bootloader yourself, it won't flash that way.
what error did it say in automatic mode?

i change the usb and disable the proxy and turn off all my firewall and antivirus
i think the proplem from something lagging from the hspl software
cuz i enter the bootloader and i start manual flash and it's respond and show to me the update button and i press it and tell my software version and if i wanna change to oilnex version and i press it and show to me the percentage image on the pc and in the phone then i wait then nothing happend

you shouldn't enter the bootloader like that, the flash won't work that way.

the screenshots are very helpful in seeing what your problem is.
ok, after 3rd step now try copying Manual SSPL exe (link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=232407&d=1254155476) on the phone, run it, it should then show SSPL screen on the phone. then use the Manual flash mode on the PC. let me know if it works that way

and then you run the manual sspl EXE on the phone, it still lags ?
I'm asking to make sure you did not do a hard reset or anything (I mean, don't do hard reset)

glad to help. as I said, the manual SSPL in the thread was the wrong version. I forgot to update it at one point, will add it in the thread now. (most people can just go and use automatic mode so nobody noticed there was an issue with the file.)

Hi all
I really need some help please!!
I think I have read and searched and tried steps by step all the posts and threads on this, none of them work for me,
Ive flashed my HD2 & TD2 with HSPL, radios and roms many times in the past. I have a stock rom on my TD2, (havent flashed a cooked one yet but did on my HD2 and worked great),
the problem is when I try flash anything, (HSPL,Radio's and Roms)
I connect with WMDC on windows ultimate 64x and go through all the steps, the phone disconnects from WMDC when loading the tri-color screen, and installs the HTC sync drivers fine, and then (my problem) it hangs on 0%. this happens regardless of what I'm flashing after a while brings up the communication errors 208 & 260. this doesnt have any effect on the software HSPL or radio as a soft reset returns back to the homescreen just fine. I am running HSPL 1.8.3. , radio 4.49.25.17 and a shiped stock wm 6.5.
This is what Ive tried so far:
I have used 3 different micro USB cables,
updated my .net fx to 4.1
I have tried different Ruu's such as custom Ruu, Ruu from topaz, Ruu, supplied with Hspl, flashes center and KaiserCustomRUU.exe and a few others.
Ive tried the white screen fix many times. including the SDA unlocker and stuff.
I ve tried manual and automatic.
tried entering the the Tri-color screen manually and via the Ruu.
I tried different computers and different operating systems (W7ultimate and XP 32Bit and 64Bit)
tried active sync WMDC 6.0 and 6.1
Ive removed the SD card and sim and have tried flight mode
Restarted pc's mobile any reinstalled WMDC many times.
Ive tried renaming to the HSPL, radio and Rom to TOPAIMG.nbh , put 1 by 1 on formated fat32 SD card, run from Tri-color menu. all of them just hang on
loading....
Have tried mixing and matching Ruu's with HSPL's, Roms And radios and everything else i can think of, after 18 hours of this I am fed up and decided i need some help

i have now download the official RUU_Topaz_S2_HTC_WWE-AFK_2.53.421.3_Radio_Signed_Topaz_61.44etc.25.35_4 .49.25.91_Ship.exe Rom
and it worked with no problems.
it updated my HSPL from 1.83 to 2.51 and radio version to 4.49.25.91 which was exactly what i was going for.
The problem now is that i still cant change my HSPL, RADIO or flash a custom Rom which is what I need. it hangs on 0% and now gives me a 262 error which states that:
ERROR [262] : UPDATE ERROR
This error occurs during the CE ROM code upgrade process. If this happens, you can just soft reset the device and run RUU again. The update process will then continue. At this stage the rom on the device is incomplete and it will not boot back up into Windows. You will need to place it into the bootloader to continue.
which is not true as if a reboot it doesn't continue the update and just returns to the home screen as normal
help?
