Charmer crashed with the new Aku 3.3!

Hello!
I tried to flash my Charmer with the new german Aku 3.3. At first everything seems to be ok, but at 95% it stops and i got the Message: update error- there is an comunication problem! So what can i do? I tried to flash the old rom back but there comes also at 95% a message: invalid command - nfb file cannot be used for your pda!
Please help me !

Go to bootloader mode, then try to flash RUU rom (1.x). You can find it on Charmer wiki.

It doesn`t work too, it always stops at 95% has anyone another idea?

Yes i tried hard reset, but it is always in bootloader!

I have also the same problem. Tried to upgrade to version 3.3. Everytime it stops at 80%. I don't know why?! I can repair it with the software and re-run it. But it has the same effect.
Now i will try to downgrade to 2.6 again. I really don't understand what causes the problem. I hope i will get this thing running again....
EDIT: I reflashed the device with the older 2.6 ROM and it is working right now. However I didn't really get why it gets stuck at 80% with 3.3 ?!?!

The aku3.3 is up to date the bootloader version!!!
IPL and ISP version now is 3.00.

I´ve got the same: My charmer is in Bootloader IPL 2.06.0001 SPL 3.08.0001
I can´t downgrade to AKU 2: Please order a newer Version.
Every try to upgrade to AKU 3.3 failed at 95% with Error 326.
Is there any help for my charmer???

oh.**** !!!! I got the same problem with them and my first pda uk rom already empty screen and then i try with my scrond pda German rom it the same problem and now just only show in bootloader screen.Have i ask someone who knowage about this he told me that if SLP in you PDA have chang it be hard to repair.So,I think I lose 2 PDA did I try to flash in T-Mobile Official Rom de that i hope to develop it but i hve to kill 2 Charmer.Who take responsibilities,T-Mobile right ???

Ok no problem you can repair it! At first you have to brand your device with the rom you want to! After 95% the Problem will come again! When it stops you have to go with a reset to bootloader again.When your device is in bootloader you have to install the Radio Rom from this thread:

After that your device will be able to boot again and it should work!- But the Problem during the installation will stay,so you have always to use this way to flash your Mda compact II!
In the new rom there must be a problem with the radio rom and this causes the broken device.
I`m sorry for my bad english but i`m not used to talk very much! So i hope you understand what i mean!

You can find the radio rom also on the ftp server. Prophet> Radio Roms>Prophet_G4_RadioRom_v2.47.11.exe
You can try different Radio Rom versions, i have flashed the v.247.11 and it worked.
Normaly it should work!

Plz be specific from where did u download the official rom,which u said u tried to flash.was it from official i-mate club ftp site and what was the version of the rom u tried to install,cuz they don't have any upgraded version on this site apart from the last wm5 dated year 2006. i-mate is not offering any wm6 upgrade to any of its products.
secondly, which other rom u tried to flash afterwards?
as far as ur attached pics r,if u can reach to this screen than do not worry about the upgrade info,as it's sometime displayed and sometimes not,just hit the upgrade.
if it completes than it's alright,but if it stucks for a very long time and displays any error message.it means it has not upgraded.

4.OS ver? ( Arabic or WWE)
secondly,tell what exactly happened and what error r u getting.

ur phone's ipl/spl 2.16,it's a AKU 2 version,therefore check the rom with which ur trying to update shud also be aku2.the update rom shud be newer than the one already on ur phone.

So what i doing Now can you fined to me any solution plz ...

can you tell what exactly is the problem you are having at present is it that:-
1. you are not able to complete flash,it stops and give some error,if so then what error it shows ?
2.RUU starts to flash,but when it comes to the screen where it verifies the updating rom's info,there you don't see any info,as per your first post,than you discard the update?
3. is the version of the rom newer your are trying to update with then the one already on your device
plz verify these ?

Ok,lets try this way out,try to do a hard reset,to perform hard reset :-
1. Press and hold the Comm Manager button and Voice Command button on the device,than
2.While keeping the two buttons pressed with one hand, and at the same time,with other hand,use the stylus to lightly press and hold the soft reset button.
the device will reboot and restart again,see if it starts to work alright.If still freezes at the splash screen,than I'll suggest you do this,it really sometimes help and I have solved my problem so many times by doing this :-
Reboot your PC, run disk clean on Drive C:\,delete all the Temporary internet files,Temp files rather check mark all the options in the disk clean wizard option and hit ok,this will delete all the junk files from your PC,now delete all the cookies in the internet options,after doing all this,switch on your phone and go into Bootloader mode(tri color screen),when there than connect your phone to the pc using usb cable but don't active sync your phone,cancell active sync if need be,when you connect your phone with pc via usb,look at the screen of your phone you will see a little usb shown at the bottom of the screen.
Now open the rom which you downloaded and execute the Ruu..,it will start to flash,let it complete ,it will confirm flash and reboot,it start now and work normal, I hope,it will solve this problem remember don't do anything else with the pc like browsing the web or reading e-mails,playing games or working on Microsoft office,don't touch you pc and phone while the rom flashes.
Well,there is another way also,but as you want the official arabic version rom on your phone,do it first as i told you above,if it works,good,otherwise we will do the second method good luck

Hmmm, sry to say I observed you joined this forum on Dec,2006 and posted 57 times,just went through your posts and was amazed that you already have gone through this unlocking and upgrading on different devices,well you seem to have quite knowledge about all this,than how come you are stuck with this problem now ?
I hope your not just kidding me ? or your are really stuck up and seeking help ?

ok, what is the present status of your phone ? what ipl/spl...? it shows in bootloader mode ?
as you posted in another thread that you tried to flash wizard_love_rom,but did not succeed,earlier you only wanted to upgrade to an official arabic i-mate k-jam rom.Now do you want to upgrade to any rom ? by unlocking the phone ? or just want your phone to work by any means ? if yes,then there's another option to get your phone working,I really hope so.Plz confirm what you want to do now ?

ERROR [294] : INVALID VENDER ID
these error messages appear when you use the wrong RUU to do the upgrade. RUU will check if the Model ID and Language ID are compatible with the device.
Well, as I can think,you had an Arabic rom version OS 2.16.9.1 Arabic on your phone before and tried to flash a wwe version rom.the bootloaders verified and did not accept the rom.So a bad flash and splash screen got freezed,the only way is to flash and try to downgrade to IPL/SPL 1.xx and CID unlock the device and upgrade to another rom to start working, or flash the official stock Arabic rom to bring back the phone to it's default status,but the official rom you downloaded and tried to flash was of the same OS version didn't flash correctly and got splash screen stuck.Therefore,the only option left at present is to try and downgrade it to IPL/SPL 1.xx.The options are :-
1.Try to flash again button's rom 'CUSTOM__RUU_Wizard_1050412_WWE_101_11210_WWE.exe ' Which you already have with you,a couple of times more and see if it might work,
2.Otherwise download this rom from the link below and flash,hope it'll work :-

If successful,good,but if still fails,
3.there's still another option to flash the rom with replaced 'Romupdateutility' in the rom,which I'll explain how to do it later,

Cant Update P4350 With Official Wm6

Ive downloaded official wm6 sve rom from HTC website. My herlald is stuck on bootloader ipl 1.08 spl 1.08. When i connect to computer usb is shown on the screen bottom ,but when i try to flash the rom ,error 300 invalid update tool is shown.
how can i fix this??

I recently had a similar problem as you, what I did was to:
- remove the battery for 5-10secs
- put the battery back
- press and hold the camera button (do not release it)
- press the power on button ( the one at the top of the phone, used for the soft resets)
- The phone will display three different colors and "IPL ...."
- Connect your phone via the USB cable to the computer, Windows XP detects that as a new hardware and installs the USB drivers for it. Pockect PC ...., just accept the driver installation when it warns you that the driver is not signed.
- Past all of that you should now be ready to use the Official ROM file from HTC, run the file, and go through the steps. It should start the ROM upgrade.
Well I hope it helps you as these steps did bring my phone back after a failed ROM upgrade.

Is your phone CID locked?
Because if so, you have to go to your phone provider and see if they have their own official rom!

i asked the costumer,the herald was cid unlocked when he bougt it,he flashed succesfully pdaviet ,then he wanted to flash wm6 but after uspl the p435o went into bootloader mode,ive been trying with many flashes with no result,please help!!

I had the same problem, and i did the download again. and it worked. try to download the upgrade again and dont forget to take of the memory card of the device.

hey, im new to all this, the tutorials dont make sense to me, atm i know my device is:
-tmobile mda vario
-unlocked
-G4
and is rom verion 3.8.2.1 wwe
i tried to upgrade it with SNN Diamond edition, but when ever i tried this, i got to the part where it starts to flash, the mda vario screen goes to the screen with the three colors but then on my laptop it just crashes and seys something about it is not responding and you have to close it, i have tried with other roms, but same thing occurs
can someone plz help meee

You have to use SoftSPL, you can get it HERE
In this folder, you copy the "nk.nbf" of your favourite WM6 (and only this file), then start with "START-sSPL.exe" (make sure you're connected via ActiveSync).
When you read this here before, you know everything you need!

Probably you are not following the instructions and doing it correctly,try to go according to the guide,if it still doesn't work,it sometimes happens that SoftSPL fails,than you better do it through 'HardSPL'

Hang in bootloader

Hi @ all,
**** happens, yesterday i tried to upgrade my rom on charmer (mda compact 2).
During installation system hangs on and didn´t finish.
So now i have only the startscreen and can reach the bootloader.
Tried now to flash an original rom, the ruu says error 294 invalid vendor id.
Otherwise the ruu (for no id) ended with error 238 file read.
My bootloder shows IPL 1.12, SPL 1.12 and USB connected.
I have read a lot of threads but cant find a answer for that.
Has anyone a good idea?

Are you trying to flash WM6 ROM to your charmer? Because WM6 required IPL and SPL level at least 2.xx.
Did you tried this method to bring charmer back to life?

Today i tried to update my rom... while the update i had an error.
i had updated the http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=363882
after the hardreset the phone hang by the first screen. I can press everething but nothing happens.
now I tried to flash a nother rom but it is unpossible because it can´t connect with windows mobile center on the pc.
Has anyone a good idea?
