It was described many times. Using memmaid or sktools disable Active Call today plugin.
Then in registry set:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\phone\skin]
Enabled=0
Good luck!

thanks!!!

It's not a service. It's a today plugin, but you can see it only with special tools. And it's called Active Call.

disables speakerphone
I made this registry change on my WM6 Treo 750 and after I did it I did get the original dialpad. bbut once you make a call the Palm version of the dialer pops up in front of the other dialer. It also disables the speakerphone.

WM6 Voice Dial from Bluetooth Working!

After messing around with numerous reg tweaks etc to try and get my headset button to initiate Voice Dial I could not get it to work, in fact I recked my install of WM6 in the end. So yesterday I did a complete re install of WM6 (Orwell Edition) And set everything up the way I like it.
Then I installed the latest MS Voice Dial 1.6 and BOING it WORKS!!!
No reg hacks needed. This is the first time ever I have got my headset to work with MS Voice Dial
Now my life is complete! This was the last little annoyance I had with WM6.
I am happy to say this is with out a doubt the best rom I have ever used.
Jules
Whahahahaha OK i found one bug. And I laughed so hard I almost fell of my chair!
I press the headset button and say "What Calls Have I Missed?"
Wizard Replies "2 Million Six hundred Thousand and sixty eight missed calls!"
Wow but Im one popular guy huh
Jules
Edit
On the next missed call request all seem fine again "You have no missed calls" hmmm gues no one loves me afterall :-(
I have tried reinstalling the cab file and, although it works, it actually causes problems with the SIP! Following the re-installation of voice command, changing the SIP takes for ever! Does anybody have a better solution or a solution for the SIP delay after the CAB Installation? Thanks
I just checked and there is a delay, I only use Resco Keyboard as my SIP so this is not an issue for me. Hope someone finds a solution for you though
Jules
Here is something really wierd! :S Installing the cab solves the BT activation problem but causes the SIP change to be dead slow. I then proceeded and exported all registry entries. Hard reset the machine and import the registry entries previously exported and copied the VC files into C\program files. Soft reset and BT works and also SIP change is as fast as without VC! :S Can anyone explain this?
I would like somebody to cook wwe crossbow rom without Microsoft Voice Command because it's not licensed.

Hi guys,
fink ive missed something here. voice commands using bt with msvc and wm6 were not working as i know. did u install any fix?

Is the Tilt's dialer/smart dialer the same as the one in the Kaiser?

Could someone please post a picture of the standard dialer in the Kaiser?
Here's a picture of mine:
Thank you.
This is the default WM6 dialer (not sure whether it has smartdialing enabled, but usually it does). You can try switching to the HTC dialer with KaiserTweak, but that might not work (if the dialer images are not on the phone). If it doesn't work - just revert back using KaiserTweak to the WM6 dialer . Personally I prefer this dialer with smartdialing because the contacts that were dialed before show up first when dialing a name...
Also - I think schap has a dialer too - something called reTouched or so. But I didn't try it...
Thank you
But I will need a dialer with local language support.
This is not the default WM6 dialer, This is the default WM5 dialer...
I was told the same in a local forum
The question is, which dialer can I install that will support other languages?
Another option would be to customize the skin of a dialer that I like and will fit the Tilt. In this case, can anyone point me to the exact steps required to do so?
Thank you.
Don't know about localizing. Regarding whether it's the WM5 or WM6 dialer, what's the difference? When I look at the screen it looks exactly the same as the dialer on my Kaiser (WM6) when I turn of the HTC dialer (using the reg-tweak or KaiserTweak).
Regards,
Nika.
Nika, could you please expand on that?

I use EZDIAL on my Tilt, and I had the default smart dialing turned on.
This resulted in the EZDIAL serch results being obscured by the smart dialing popup window (which basically emulates what EZDIAL does, only with a nicer presentation).
I then turned off smart dialing, and can now see the EZDIAL results on screen.
But the thing is, I wanted to use a nicer smart dialer than EZDIAL, and tried to install a localized one posted in a local forum by Nadavi (a distinguished member here), and it didn't work.
So I wanted to understand why this was happening, and was told that my Tilt couldn't have any other dialer than the default one (since I'm with the standard ROM, and I need a localized skin).

The HTC dialer does not have soft 'Talk' and 'End' buttons, which I find very annoying...

How can i change to HTC dilaer??? As on the second picture???
ze bediuk ma she shaalti oto...
That's the question...
As I replayed before:
I suggest the following:
1. find a full install of the dialer(I don't know of any).
2. change your rom to an HTC rom(much better! ))
3. find an answer at XDA....
wisniak, I replayed your question on ppcfreak.
Quickest way to the Dialer
This may be a silly question, but without opening the keyboard, what is the quickest way to get the dialer to appear on the screen?

Try Pressing the Green Call button on your device, that should bring up the dialer.
To change to the default WM6 dialer, which is actually listed above as the 2nd HTC dialer. Here is the registry key that needs changed:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / Security / Phone / Skin
Change the value of 'Enabled' from 1 to 0
Please note, that there is no video calling available using this dialer.
Just thought I would clarify a little bit on what these dialers actually are:
At&t WM6 Dialer:
HTC Touch style dialer:
Default Microsoft WM6 dialer:
Default Microsoft WM5 dialer:
I used Kaiser Tweak and the dialer definitely looks different now
I'll post an image later today.

Dude, you are absolutely wrong,
The first is the built in WM6 dialer, available on every WM6 phone edition (you can unhide it with a tweak manager) - all WM^ phone editions have it(never mind the colors)
The secound is the "smartdialing" HTC dialer - available only on HTC phone editions devices,(never mind the colors)
Here's what it looks now:
This is the dialer skin I have after using the Kaiser Tweak.
EZDIAL does not come up, even though it's properly installed.

S2U2 fullscreen caller photo problem

Hi all, does anyone know how to fix the problem that when there is an incoming call, the S2U2 brings out a very low res, atually just an enlarged version of the small thumbnail, rather than the full hi-res (240x320px) image of the person calling?
also how do i totally disable S2U2 ?
thanks in advance
If you read the F.A.Q for S2U2 you would have found your answer.
Just use S2V to assign pictures for your contacts. Only downfall about that is it won't sync to Outlook. If you want to disable S2U2, you can disable that in settings and keep the caller id function.

I don't know what "problems" your referring to, but I'm using this with S2U2 for fullscreen caller display and it's working perfectly.
try it, if you dont like it , uninstall...
i like it, but the thing is that i am using it full screen too but everytime i get a call... the call id would be out of font as in it would get cut off.
is there a fix to this?
Thanks i'll give it a try
S2U2 is now at v1.00

1. Check out the threads on S2U2.
2. Crop/edit your photos to the right size.
3. Use S2V to add your new photos to contacts.

Chicken,
I believe I am experiencing the same problem. When I get a call, the S2U2 caller ID comes up and then the standard Windows Mobile ID comes up and overlays it. Is there anyway to stop the windows mobile ID?
I am on WM6.1 on a HTC Touch. I am running S2U2 V2.10 by A_C
Thanks in advance.

s2u2 slide-to-answer problem

Hi,
Has anyone got the s2u2 Slide to Answer feature working?
I've got S2A turned on, but when a call comes in, it looks like S2A and the TouchFlo answer screen are fighting it out as to which one gets control... there is lots of flickering on the display, and it switches back and forth between the S2A and the Touchflo answer screens.
If you press the screen, it seems that the TouchFlo is getting priority, as the Answer or Ignore buttons will work, even if they aren't actually being displayed.
Anyone managed to get this working properly?
I'm using S2U2 version 1.03.
Thanks for any suggestions.
Regards,
Ben

That sounds like fun.
I suppose you can disable TouchFLO 3D, although you probably don't want to do that. You might be able to stop TouchFLO 3D from handling calls with a registry edit, although I doubt it...
I have the same problem. After several tries, I found two solutions. The first one is using AdvanceConfig to disable 'phone skin', after restart, s2u2 works properly. But the dialpad is no longer the diamond style. The second one is to install another dialpad to replace the existing diamond dialpad.
But i really love the existing diamond dialpad, so I gave up the s2u2. hehe, really hope someone can fix this problem.
So can you still utilize all the other S2U2 goodness besides S2A feature? If so, I'd happily turn off S2A and keep all else. Though a proper solution would also be the preference.
yes, other functions work in a good condition

i blocked the touch function of the screen when there is incoming call. So now i use hardkey to pick up the phone. For s2u2, A_C also realized the problem, hope he can fix it in the near furture

I'd like this answer too, i love so much s2a and the other functions but i love the classical tflo dial pad(i'm a little bit confused about all the tweaking and installing out the box apps that may get in conflict with others!)
However i still think that Diamond will be a superphone in one month or two with all the geniuses around here
There is another thread with exactly this issues. If you have managed to block the touch screen and just allow the hard keys, how did you do it?
up up.
Does anyone found a solution? My S2U2 worked great, untill this morning.....Now I have the same problem.
How can help.....
You can keep touchflo3d dial pad with S2U2, just have to edit registry "HKLM\Software\HTC\Biotouch" make a new Key called "Disable4SpecificApp", and inside this another one called "S2U2", inside this a new string wich "value name" is "classname" and its "value data" is "S2U2"

Vibrate to Connect in 6.5

is it possible to make your phone vibrate on call connect while using the windows default keypad?
i know if i enable the diamond keypad it works.
and also the program "Vibrate On Connect" does not work with the Touch Pro.
I am told it cannot work without the diamond phonepad.
So i'm wondering if anyone can enable it through a .cab file on a non-htc customized 6.5 rom
Have You tried this?
Try Start>Settings>Personal Tab>Phone>Scroll all the way to the right until you see the Advanced tab>Remove the tick from "Vibrate device when connection is established">Click OK until you see your home screen.

That tab doesn't exist in WM6.5 with the default dialer.
The only way I know of is to use s2u2 and set it to answer calls and it has an option to vibrate on connect, but I honestly don't use it because I like the built-in lock app in 6.5.

Uh, thats that ROM Im already an using.
that option is there because i used Da_G's kitchen and installed the htc dialer because i thought i would like it, however the 6.5 dialer i like better so i used advanced config to switch back.
and yes i like the 6.5 lock much better as well so s2u2 is not an option.
also i downloaded some kind of green button app or something called vibrate which automatically starts when i boot up however never installed, just ran as a .exe and it does what i want- almost- it vibe's on connect however it is a little late and the vibration is too much and not subtle like the htc diamon dialpad one- if anyone can get the vibrate on connect feature from the diamond dialer it would be apprieciated- also how can i stop this new vibrate.exe from running?
Try this and hope you got the fix.
HKLM\Software\HTC\PHONE\PhoneExtendSetting

didnt notice the word "htc" in that registry key? thats for the diamond dialer. does it not work if you install htc dialer and disable it (switch back to standard wm dialer) using something like diamond tweak? or does the tab with the vibrate option disappear with it?

To return to WM dialer
HKLM\Security\Phone\Skin
set (Enabled) to 0
soft reset
I used Advanced Config v3.3 to revert to the WM 6.5 dialer (which I actually like a lot more than I thought I would), but I also lost the vibrate functionality, which I really enjoy, since where I work my signal fluctuates a lot, and even though I'll show good service on Sprint, it often won't connect, and I'll just hold it in my hand, or put it down on the table and wait for it to actually go to "connected" when I hear/feel the vibrate.
When I go into the Phone options Advanced tab I still have the option to "Vibrate on Connect", but it doesn't work, either checked, or unchecked.
Anyone able to get their phone to vibrate on connect using the WM6.5 dialer?
This isn't a dealbreaker for me, or anything, as I prefer the speedier WM dialer over the delayed HTC dialer (especially when the unit is locked), but it would be nice to get it back.
Vibration on connect
vibration on connect and Slide unlock bugs existent in all cooked ROMs in this forum. I trial all ROMs and found it. If you know the resolves please post it here. thanks
i have the same problem and i would like to know how to fix it ..
thanks all
-Did you try using "Pocket Shield"?, i use it with Da_G 6.5 rom too.
-It's a locking program with amazing options to lock/unlock your device (with light, stylus, slide, gestures)
-AND has the option to vibrate when call connected and is as subtle as de touch pro/diamond dialer. Just a short vibration after the call is engaged.
-Works great for me...
-IT IS NOT FREEWARE though... googleeeeeeee
