Hi,
I have a BT keyboard, Think Outiside Stowaway Bluetooth.
When I pair it with my X7500, the pairing passcord is not popped up while other device like my lap top shows a pin code on the screen. Instead, a input box like a BT mouse or a BT headset shows and asking me to input the passcord, which I cannot know.
I tried to install a driver for WM5.0. In this case, the mouse did not work because my mouse is not a product of Think Outside.
I just want to use this BT keyboard together with my BT mouse.
If anyone has a simiar trouble, please help me out.
Thanks,,,,,
the passcode is 0000
Thanks but...
The passcord '0000' does not work.
Could you let me know how to pair my BT Keyborad to X7500?
What I did is as below;
1. add new..
2. select BT Keyboard
3. Passcord textbox comes up
4. type '0000' in X7500
5. No connection message comes out.
Thanks...
Treat it like a 'secure' password connection and after you put in '0000' on the Advantage, put in '0000' on the Think Outside keyboard too.

You choose your own passcode (you need to use onscreen one to put the first code in) , then type it on the keyboard after that. I got one of these for Christmas and it's a great keyboard!!

I can not pair my BT head set i-Tech R35 Clip to my new TD2, i get to the enter password part but they do not pair off. I have put the BT head set in to pairing mode.
Does anyone have any advise to get me paired off.
Thanx and regards

Pairing BT
there is two places you can pair your topaz with a BT headset.
1) link in comm manager over BT, not the switch part at the far right, but the bar where it says bluetooth. it'll take you to a screen where you can pair a headset.
2) in settings in the conection tab under bluetooth (or comm manager, BT and advanced), which is a multi tab that shows you the deviced paired, connected allow you to be discoverable the ports you created etc...
my point is for headset i have had problems conecting thru the advanced menu (2) but it worked thru the Comm conection, i don't even have to enter the key, it seems like it tryes 1234 0000... so i recommend going to the option 1, and there pairing your headset.
the other thing i noticed is when you pair a device, if you got the wrong key on the first atempt even if you enter the right one after it will not pair, so the solution is pressing back refresh and connect again and then enter the right key.
at least it worked for me
cheers
Timothy
Thanx for your guide, unfortunately it still will not connect. either option 1 or 2. I tried entering the pass code 0000 but it fails to connect and says the pass code was incorrect. If i try the option of no pass code it says it has connected, however the BT headset does not respond with hte usual 5 x flashes of the LED.
I still can not get connected :-(
Hey,
today I thought I have to try something new. When i saw my HD2 lie on my bluetooth Keyboard I just had to give it a try. So I paired the HD2 with a Logitech Dinovo Edge keyboard.
For first impression just watch the linked video on youtube i made:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-l9GckkXzSw
It is kinda possible to control the HD2 with the keyboard. Some commands wont work with the keyboard arrows, some do.
It is possible to assign keyboard keys to Morphgear and FPSECE but they wont work in game. May somehow it would work since the keys are assigned.
Enjoy this one
BTW: its german layout qwertz keyboard but the HD2 takes it as a wwe qwerty keyboard so at the end of the video you see me having some trouble writing a ""
How do I go about pairing my diNovo Edge with the Leo?
I didn't even know the diNovo used Bluetooth, I thought since it came with a USB dongle it was USB.
Nice what kind of cradle do you have there?

i like it too what is it?
hey, yes the dinovo is a bluetooth keyboard ... i dont even use the logitech bluetooth dongle because i dont like the size of it.
Well, the cradle is the battery charging station for the bluetooth keyboard
Leo kinda fits in there but its connected nowhere just used it for the video.
I'm using the USB receiver since I use my Bluetooth for audio, not sure it could do both at the same time.
How do I go about putting the diNovo in pairing mode?
turn your keyboard upside down and press the connect button then look for available bt devices on your HD2
Incredible feature! Did any user who have bluetooth keyboard have tried this on Touch HD?
I saw this at WMPU.. good stuff ...
That's fun!
I just tried it on my HTC Elf and it works! Even when I turn off the screen.
I bet the iPad can do this too... oh wait, it probably can't, seeing as how Apple have their own overpriced keyboard/dock for it.
pairing a LG touch
just tried to pair my LG Touch with no success, the device does show up in my listing fully described, it asks for a passcode which i entered 0000, and it tries to pair and eventually fails....i wonder if you all are pairing because you are using HTC products.....which will be fine being the im due for my HTC Evo 4G next week.... WOOHOO!
Do you think a
Logitech Cordless MediaBoard Pro
http://www.logitech.com/en-us/keyboards/keyboard/devices/3616
would work ?
Works with Logitech MX5500
Done and confirmed to work with Logitech MX5500 Keyboard
WOW amazing!
I've had a logitech dinovo edge for 4 years, and I always thought the bluetooth capability was somehow proprietary(even though thinking about it that doesn't make sense if it's labeled bluetooth) I just tried it out and it works pretty well, though when typing messages it starts to lag when i type too fast. I wish though it could take advantage of all the other inputs on the kbd like the trackpad.
HD2 bluetooth keyboard works great
I bought a mini bluetooth keyboard on [email protected] and it works great with my HD2.
It makes typing txt-msgs with my giant fingers easy.
It was only $34. Model wkb-1500
Can anyone shed some light on this? I have a Nexus One, stock 2.2.1 ROM and a DiNovo Edge. I can pair the keyboard with the phone but then I get "Paired but not Connected" in the bluetooth device listing. When I click on it there is no response, only the option to unpair.
Thoughts? Thanks!
also working : DiNovo Mini !!
Hello! i would also tell u that the diNovo Mini Keyboard is compatible to Leo. I'm using this little keyboard since 1 year and i am very happy with it. I can put it in my pocket too.... and the accu of it is very powerful (along 2 weeks of using every day)....

This response is over a week late, but if you get this, I hope it helps.
After pairing:
Download BlueKeyboard JP or Blue Input Demo from Market. After you install either of these programs, go into Settings>Language&Keyboard and check the box next to the program name (either BlueKeyboard JP or Blue Input). Go into the program's settings menu (should be right underneath it in the list). For BlueKeyboard JP, it'll ask you to select your keyboard and input type/style (e.g., US QWERTY), among other things. For Blue Input Demo, it'll allow you to search for your keyboard. Just search and choose it when it pops up on screen.
Last thing, change your input method. For example, if you want to use your keyboard to type a text message, open up the text messaging program. In any of the textbox where the text goes, press and hold your finger on the screen until a menu pops up with "Input Method" in it. Select it and choose the program you just downloaded (Blue Keyboard/Blue Input) in the menu. Your BT keyboard should now work.
I used Blue Input Demo on my HD2 with the diNovo Edge and found that it's better than BlueKeyboard JP. Give it a try and let me know if it works.
HEllo all,
I hope someone can advise or help me.
I have a Nokia SU-8W Bluetooth Keyboard which is a very good bit of kit.
It works flawlessly (0 lag) with a Bluetooth Mouse on my N95.
I cannot however get it to PAIR WITH MY HD2
I can find the device, then try to pair, the HD2 asks me to type in 6-7 Characters on the keyboard, which it picks up no problem.
It then says press enter to complete, at which point I get an error telling me that my device is not discoverable.
I have set the device to discoverable and to no discoverable yet this doesnt help.
I have tried with 3 different Radios 2.7.50, 2.7.51 and now 2.10.50 yet still gives me same error. (also stock, Dutty and Energy Roms)
I just want to make it work so I can play System Shock 1 on Dosbox
I really suffering in my Love Hate relationship with my HD2.....
At last my FM radio gives me more than 1/2 a station, and I got Wiimote working on FPSCE so I can play games....now I want dosbox with a keyboard hehe some people never satisfied!
Any advice or experience with this device or similar would be great.
Many thanks all!
Nokia BT Keyboard pairing
Hi, I did it a couple of weeks ago, and in the first place it was also not working for me.
But I have found out, that if it asks you to press the enter on the keyboard, that it is not the real enter on the keyboard. I am not having it with me now, but I managed it to get it paired to my HD2.
I will try to see, what I have done to get it paired, but my keyboard is at home and I am abroad at the moment. Give me some days.
Once you have it paired, it will makes the connection without problems, even if you have the BT as hidden (as i have). Beside that, you have to play with the correct language settings too, before you have the correct keyboard layout.
Remember, it is possible to get it paired
Edit, solution:
Press once (!) the FN key, you will see the (FN) light will light up.
Now, press the numerical code (these are located on top of the QWERTY keys, and they are now enabled because of the FN function).
After you have completed the entering the code, press the (FN) key again, this will switch off the numerical keys and now press enter.
You should have a connection now
Perfect!!
Thank u very much!!
+ 100 rep
Works perfectly. As IT support I should have noticed!
Many thanks
Works peftectly in word etc....
If I try to use it in Dos box.....is not acknowledgeing any key except the return key

Sorry, can't help you with that, I am not using a DOS BOX on my HD2
Can you tell me how can I pair the phone and a Logitech - Cordless MediaBoard Pro
im trying to pair but neither 0000 and 1234 code works.....
Im on android 2.3.7
What am i doing wrong thanks.
Found this post while trying to do the same thing
I checked the manual for the keyboard, and it reminded me that it was designed for PS3 and not running a normal bluetooth stack, so the pairing process is a little different.
Switch the keyboard off, switch it on, press reset. This makes the keyboard discoverable.
Tell your Android device to look for new devices, find the Mediaboard, try to pair.
Enter 0000 as the pairing code on your android. Then, type 0000[Enter] on the keyboard. You should now be paired.
Your phone should now list the keyboard as "Paired, but not connected" and you'll still not have a working keyboard, but you'll have made as much progress as I've made.
Let me know if you figure out how to connect!
When i try the 0000 it shows error during pairing.....
So I bought myself a new Logitech Bluetooth Mouse, when it connects the cursor is shown fine, however when I want to use my on-screen keyboard it automatically assumes I want to use a Hardware keyboard. Each time the mouse connects I have to goto keyboard settings and turn off the Hardware Keyboard. This is a pain in the ass. Is there a way around this ? It didn't happen with my other Bluetoo$th mouse before. I am assuming it has something to do with Bluetooth Profile within the accessory itself declaring itself as a hardware mouse & keyboard ?
Can anyone offer any advice on this ?
