I've downloaded the HTC Home theme, but it did not change the dial pad, I need a larger dial pad, like the one on the HTC Touch but I can't find it. I figured it would come with the theme, but no luck. Any help?

You will also find there a nice looking calculator skin to match, the communications manager is also great, because it has 3G on/off.
The actions screen is also excellent, if you don't mind that it doesn't work very well in landscape.
You mean something like this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=355085
Try this dial pad... I am using it. The other cooked dial pads mentioned elsewhere are missing the "Talk" button and when you enter a # manually it then becomes a three click process to make a call. Install on your device memory, not on SD card.

Great, thank you
Dial Pad
Dear Asfoor, If I don't like the dial pad, can I Remove it ????
Thank you
Danny
I installed the dial pad (on the device), reset the phone etc., The new dial pad is like the previous but one can see the buttons of the carbon fiber dial pad underneath the previous buttons. After the call is placed, the buttons on the second dial pad (the ones that have the "speakerphone on" etc.) are in the carbon fiber black skin. When I ask for the keypad, it goes back to the "old" buttons. Any thoughts?

How is the app that is included in Faria & et al ROM called? One to set speed dial on the today screen
thanks
Personally, I like it. Only thing is that it's too easy to dial and I'm afraid that I'm going to end up making a lot of accidental phone calls, so I've had to turn it off. If there was a way to change it so that it requires a doubletap or better yet a tap and hold to choose dial from the menu then I think I would be able to keep it.

Ergh... Thanks! I'm a moron... I meant to type how is it called....
I'm looking for larger dialpad buttons? I've seen a lot of crap all over the place which is more of a piece together and there is always SOMEONE posting with bad news... such as "can't uninstall it" or "smart dial doesn't work" etc...
Is there a fully functioning (even if I have to pay money) keypad (dial screen buttons) with big buttons on it?
Thanks in advance!
try netcom smart dialer 2.5 - not free
There is another called reTOUCHed_Dialer2. This has much bigger buttons and easier than the built-in layout.
I am hoping somebody will have one with a different skin, though. The straight black keys are not my thing.

The reTOUCHed Dialer can be "skinned" (and I've seen a few). If you look at Dutty's planned no. 7 rom that dialer will be in it, and it will have blue/green buttons. I think Schaps' has it with purple.
Basically the dialer mainly consists of graphics for the backgrounds and buttons. You just need to edit all of them in an grapics program and you can modify it to how you want it.
Here's the cab for the standard Touch looking one.
Hello,
I am missing the speed dial function in the kaiser dialpad as it is in other wm5 and wm6 smartphones.
HTC has modified the dialpad for larger buttons but removed the integrated speed dial function
I do not want to use the function in HTC-home, I want to use the speed dial directly in the dialpad!
Are there any other skins out there which work on the htc kaiser but with a speed dial function?
Are you talking about pushing and holding the 1 - 9 buttons? This works on the Tilt dialer.
If you remove the video button you get the old shool dialer with speed dial button. /Hasse

This also works on mine, you can also click the scroll wheel down and it will bring up the speed dial list.
What could be faster than pushing a picture of someone and having it dial for you? I guess I don't get it.
I just got a Tilt and tried the SNE 2.5. For anyone using it I have a few questions.
My Fn keys don't seem to line up to the keyboard for example
On the Tilt Q has ! on it and W has @ on it. When I do Fn and Q I get @ instead of !. Other keys have this issue as well.
Also I get a rainbow color at the top when in portrait mode.
I can't seem to make voice dialing a side button like I could with my 8525 default ATT ROM.
**This is NOT intended as a flame**
You did not read properly before jumping in head first. Start with the Kaiser Wiki and GWENI linked in my signature.

just install this and soft reset. It will fix your keyboard settings. bye.
Thank both and I didn't see that wiki. The keyboard is fixed but I don't see anything in the wiki about the rainbow coloring I am having. The voice command that the wiki talks about isn't my issue. Button 6 exists but with this ROM it doesn't list the Voicecommand as a option under all the settings.

post a screen shot of the rainbow coloring you are receiving.
Here you go.
That really isn't a screenshot so I cannot answer the rainbow question because I can hardly see it. Anyhow, I'm sure you searched how to remap button 6. There are a few cab files floating around that will allow you to do that without any issues.
That is a battery status bar.
Take a look at the SNE thread to confirm it.
Sorry try this shot.
It's not button 6 that's the issue it's that voice dial isn't listed as an app that can be applied to button 6.
Thanks jym04 that is what the coloring is at the top. Thank you for pointing it out.
Now if I can figure out why a MMS message isn't downloading and the voice dial I can use this thing.
A side note on the 8525 the 3G icon wouldn't be big like it is in my picture it would always show two arrows saying it's constantly connected. I used the tweaks that are built into the ROM to say always connected but nothing.
with the bar on top of your display (you call it rainbow color) you can watch your battery status. It´s not a bug, it´s a feature

Create a shortcut to voice dial in your Start Menu (or subdirectory therein). Then it will appear as an app that you can apply to buttons.
I got flamed for asking a similar question (different app) and I couldn't find an answer through search either.
Thank you Exitao!
Wow proud to see ppl still flashing my ROMS...
Is there any other program out there besides throttlelock? The only real complaint I have with throttlelock is the lack of diagonal pattern support.

Fantastic program mate
Only thing I have noticed is that when I get an incoming call (im using HDIII with the opal dialer) the caller id screen from the dialer pops up instead of the throttlelock incoming call screen. It looks like your screen is in the background but the opal screen is ontop of it. Any ideas how to be able to toggle your incoming call screen on/off so that its either ontop of the opal dialer or off completely??

That's something I'm working on right now . The replacement is done but there are some collateral issues that need to be fixed .... I'll also add the option to unlock on call... but that's a security leak...

Looks great cant wait for the new version to come out. I love the bigger clock on the lock screen. I just use a black background to keep prying eyes away . Not so sure about the option to unlock on a call for a security program it would leave the phone wide open lol. Thats just my opinion but I would leave that out unless its been requested alot. Nice work I always put it on my phone after I flash a new rom. Wish I could write programs like that

It just gets better and better!! Hey, I just thought of a nice feature for maybe 0.6...I just don't know how to explain it very well. Your pattern doesn't have to use adjacent dots? Does that make sense? For example, in a 3x3 grid, the top left dot can connect to the bottom middle or even the middle right dot. Its just an idea I had, let me know what you think.
Can this be run with S2U2? What would be cool would be if the S2U2 app ran and once you slid to unlock you had to do the pattern unlock. So basically S2U2 is used for style and interface and the pattern unlock is used for security.

I'm not to sure. Give it a try! If it doesn't work, then just uninstall it. Let us know how it goes.
It is alright. I have to enable Throttlelock explicitly and then S2U2 is enabled on when my phone powers off. Then I had to unlock with Throttlelock before S2U2 which is reverse of what I prefer.

Sounds like alot of work to get your phone unlocked lol. Plus ThrottleLock is fully skinnable so you can make it look great with any background you want. Its better than S2U2 in my opinion.
