TomTom for my Wizard?

Up till last week I had a T-Mobile MDA Compact and I'd got Tomtom (bakonl) running. Now I have a Wizard (T-Mobile from The Netherlands) and I can't install the Tomtom. Appears that WM2005 not compatible with Tomtom Version 5. Anyone got a plan to get arround this? :?:

To install TTN5 on WM5 you have to copy the cab files directly to pda and launch it with the pocket explorer (or resco explorer).

Thanks for the responses guys. I've given it a go and moved the cab files from the CD to my SD card and installed the GPS cab first. Then soft booted the Vario and then attempted to install the TTN cab.

you need te get the tomtom 5.1 files then it works fine. I've got it working on my bleu angel with WM5, and today i installed in on my brother's vario and it worked just fine.

You need the zip file not the exe. AS4 messes up the installation.

I found this update this week..

Note : Download, unzipp... connect your PDA/Phone via Sync cabel/station, setup.exe run. (I have installed it over my (bakonl) 5.0 version.... !!!).
Note 2 : Can ONLY be used if you have a BeNeLux version of bakonl TT5 and only with the BeNeLux map (normal or plus).......
Success with the upgrade.

TomTom with WM6.1 on HTC wizard

can anybody support me in trying to setup a navigation functionality on my HTC wizard, that runs WindowsMobile 6.1 (those TNT edition)?
Unfortunately i can't find up to date information about which GPS-hardware to use. Is BlooTooth the only reasonable solution for the wizard?
I also plan to feed the tachymeter signal from my bicycle somehow. Has anybody read of approaches to this and can cite or link?
Third thing I'm in search of is an alternative camera software. The "Camera for Pocket PC Version 3.00" does not support geoTagging and not even writing in the Tags for Titling, commenting etc.

Little Issue about WM5

I've upgraded my BA to WM5. All seems to work fine(for now), but, my bluetooth get disconnected whem I POWER OFF my device. (Just like Broadcomm v.2900 ) Why?
Are this already fixed???
I can´t put in action Tomtom Navigator 5.xx. .
If I try to install by ActiveSync 4.x he reports me an error of Just-In-Time Debugger. If I copy all the files to my Pocket and install them directly, when I choose a map he blocks for seconds and then turn back to my today screen.
Please Help me in this issue.

Try to find it in the BA-WM 5.0-Wiki (links below in my sig).

You need to install Tom Tom Navigator 5.2. Vers 5.2 is designed to install correctly for WM5 using Activesync.
Vers 5.0 and 5.1 will not install on WM5 via Activesync. You have to copy over the files manualy.

I've the activation code for TT 5.21 for benelux map .
How can I do to use Iberia map??
Because the activation code doesn't work with Iberia.

WM5 + Tomtom 5.2 - "No maps found!"

I've merged the 5.0 installer and the 5.2 patch... deleted all 5.0 files in my Qtek 9090 and then install with the setup.exe
After that replaced the exe with the cracked.
Something strange... I put the Canary_Islands-map I have, it's ok... but I cannot use my Switzerland maps which works with tomtom 3 and tomtom 5.0. Need I to find a new version of Switzerland map ?
It looks very strange this is the 562 version, the same version as the Canary island... is it possible that the path of this map need to change from one version to another ?

Upgrade

Hi,
I've tried to upgrade my device. I've downloaded the upgrade file from HP web site but when I tried it returns message that languages of the package is different (my WM is in Italian and I've downloaded the upgrade file for the Italian version).
Furthermore, I've another problem.
the navigator software didn't find maps, but map are on SD card.
Could you please suggest any solution?

Some question from NOOB.
I have HTC branded (finnish keyboard layout Kaiser).
So... First of all... what I need if I just wanted update f.e radiosw?
Second... where I am able to see current versions of cabs and what is the procedure to update single cabs? Just copy them to them SD card and install?

Yeap... I do understand ho to install CAB files.. I am not SO noob... but my question was... where I could check what are versions of my current sw:s. So I'd know what should I upgrade...

Come'on... guys... where heck you check your current versions so you know if need upgrade??

You talk about cabs and radio software.
1) The devices rom/os info is in settings, system, device info and is different depending on your devices origination (ie an Orange Tytn 2 will have different roms to an HTC suplied Tytn 2). FWIW my device is running:
Operator Version: 24.181.1.612
ROM: 1.81.61.2 WWE
Date: 9/20/07
Radio: 1.27.12.29
Protocal version: 22.45.88.07H
2) Cabs relate to specific programs or tweaks and unless you tell us which ones you mean, no-one can guess?

Okay... I try to be more specific...
We have a sticky thread of latest cabs of Kaiser which I have.
In that thread there are mentioned different cabs like:
1. Windows Live 10.6.32.2100 (extract from Latest OS available)
1b. Windows_Live_10.6.33.600 (new version out now (09.10.07) fixed by leepriestenator
2. HTC Task manager v2.00 (build 30740) (Extract from latest OS available) {major update fixed 05.10.07}
2.B HTC Task Manager v2.00 (build 30995} { 20.10.07)
I have those same cabs somewhere inside my Kaiser and propably or not they are at latest version. if I want to take care that my cabs are newest version but at the same time I don't want upgrade if the cab version is same what are mentioned in the thread.
So I only want update and only if latest cab is newer than cab in my Kaiser.
And my question is: How can I check what is f.e my Windows Live version in my Kaiser so I would know do I need upgrade it.
Is my explanation now better? F.e in windows vista I can always go to some sw help-about which is telling me usually what is my version nut I don't know how to do it in my Kaiser.

Question is: How I can check what is current version of some cab which is inside and installed (from factory) in my Kaiser.
Of course I know these versions what I should download but how the heck I know cabs version inside my Kaiser and softwares from factory.
I'll try this once more: If I buy laptop from store (and every sw in that laptop are installed in factory). I am able to check f.e graphics driver version or messenger version and compare that version number to that what I am thinking about to download.
I have exactly same situation except I don't know how can I check versions of cabs installed in the factory defaults.

Task Manager, go into either programs or settings and look there. Click on it and then menu and then about. If the program was cooked in and you want to upgrade, install the same exact cab version and then uninstall. And then install the newest version cab. I don't use windows live so can't help you there, but it should have an about screen.

I also have some problem with you.
Because on some program there dont have about screen.
So we dont know which version we are.
I dont know if this is the best way to check the version, but I cant found any other way (may be other member know better way)
First you need to know the program name first
If you don't know the program name, than first download it first and extract the cab and open the XML file, in side there you can get the exe file.
Than you copy the file from our PPC to your PC than open the file properties.
And there you can see the version.
