Where i can find - Off-topic

hi.. iam new bie
this forum its great.. really 100% pure for pda discussion, but i try find for all pda service manual and trouble shooting only few.. does one know where i can find it?
best regards
honge

Your best bet is Wiki and search, then xda-devs FTP. There is no centralized point where to get manuals, maybe in some thread in some subforum (most probably in general section) - I am really not sure.

Moderators: can we make the Kaiser Wiki a sticky?

Does it make sense to do this? I think it would really help, but I was wondering why it hasn't been done already. It seems a lot of people here don't even know it exists, lol. Maybe we can make this thread the sticky! Should probably include a message like "Please read before posting."
Kaiser Wiki
EDIT: a Wiki sticky! ha, hey that rhymes! alright, I'm a dork. I know.
Maybe because there is already a link at the top of the page for the Wiki.
That's true, but:
There's a lot of people who browse this site with a narrow field of vision
Many of these people end up asking questions for which answers already exist online
That link does not stand out to the typical new user, it gets lost in the sea of links at the top of the page
The link itself only goes to the general Wiki page, not directly to the Kaiser's
The aforementioned users, I believe, may typically brush off that page as "too confusing" or "useless" since it doesn't take them directly to information about their phone
I think a sticky may help reduce the number of repeated posts, since it would place the Wiki in their field of vision. I don't know, maybe I think too lowly of these users? I just think that with all the top notch work that's gone into the Kaiser Wiki, it's a shame that resource isn't exploited or advertised more than it is now.
But maybe I'm still missing something?
People don't read the stickies either. Some people just don't care and don't read anything. They just post their question without doing any reading or searching, even for the simple questions that have been asked over and over. Yes, it's frustrating. You can't help people like that.
EDIT: Besides, there is already a sticky thread for SEARCHING this site (including the Wiki), and yet, people fly right past that without reading.
done (edited the Google post)
Thank you!
I wanted to add a link to the wiki to my signature but wasn't sure how to get the get a different title for the link. I dug around a bit on the forum help but didn't see how to embed a link in your sig. If someone posts the method, I encourage others to add it to their sig as well. Communication is often more effective when it is delivered more then once, and from more than one source. Plus, I don't think new members (or at least most of them) mean to ask repeated questions but are in general are not yet familiar with forum etiquette.
I think that's a great idea. Although, I'm not sure I'm understanding your question. Are you looking to change this:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Kaiser
to this:
Kaiser Wiki
?

Hi, when you add a link to kaiser wiki in your signature you will get this:
[ URL="http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Kaiser"]http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Kaiser
just change to
[ URL="http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Kaiser"]Kaiser Wiki
Is this what you asked for? (Result see in my signature)
Seasons greatings,
Hans Olo
Maybe we should encourage more users to put a link to the Wiki in their signatures!

Correct, title of thread said it all. "I just posted another redundant thread"

Crosspost: Kaiser software recommendations wiki

I want to drive traffic to the software forum so all that I'm going to do is link to the post over there. Yes, I may get bashed for it, but I think this is pretty informative and will hopefully cut down a bit on the newbie questions that appear every day here.
Software recommendations for the Kaiser/Tilt wiki
Ideally, I would like to see this thread locked and stickied to drive traffic to the software forum.

Newbie on forum

Hi guys, Im new on the forum. I have a TYTN2 or Kaiser as I see U call it...
I see alot of interesting things here but dont know where to start... could someone please assist on how & where I could install touchflo on my phone...
Thanx
Welcome to the forum. Before you do anything else, you should aquaint yourself with the Kaiser Wiki article, read the announcement at the top of this forum, and read the stickies at the top of this forum, and the Kaiser General forum, also at the top of this forum. This will help you get to know the forum rules, and answer many basic questions that people have when they first come here. In the case of TouchFLO 2D, one of the stickies contains full instructions on how to install it and contains all files needed.

[Q] Fastest, simplest & most reliable android rom for Tytn 2

I'm looking for the fastest, simplest & most reliable android rom for Tytn 2.
Does anybody have any idea?
Thanks.
I have an idea, go look throught the android rom threads and figure it out on your own.
You are required to read the sticky before posting, in that it says, thou shall not ask questions like this.

Forum rules link doesn't work in the sticky., also been through 10 pages of thread index to find an answer. If you don't have anything helpful to add, better just keep your rude comments to yourself.
Well the link worked at one point and I will post my comments where ever I want.
The forum rules are on every page of forum pretty much "depeneding on what theme use"
We do not allow the question regards best due to a several reasons: Only you will find the best ROM as all points of view, can cause falming, keeping the forum clean etc.
As all threads on this topic thread closed.
