Would be nice to look at, but your right, needs the code...
I signed up, but they were full, so maybe they'll send a code.
Looks like another teaser from MS.
If they want people to have a look/to test, why dont they just give it away??. Like they did for IE ???? Will only help fix the bugs!
Any codes?? Anyone??

I like it, but anyone else see the fuzziness around the edges sometimes? Maybe I drank too much...
Um, all it does is display a thumbnail of a web page? can't select anything on the page? um, what's the point? Am I missing something here?
hey above me, have you seen the iphone browser? it does that
I LOVE IT. This was one thing that the iphone DID have over windows mobile, and now we have it.
I do wish that the select button never had to be it. It should be all from the finger or stylus

Thanks to straff for the code. This browser is very cool. There are some instructions at the following page:

I just tried the Ultimate Search app and wasn't to impressed. I would like an all-in-one app for searching. Similar to, oh crap I forgot the name of it, an app that was on my treo 700wx where I could search movies, resteraunts, etc... Would also like a quick "google" search. Any suggestions?
I did search!
Windows Live Search does a lot of that. It's a great app.
Or Google Maps. Or use Opera Mini browser, then you can use Google in all its glory.
Or there's even a Yahoo Mobile beta, that works OK for me.

I have to second this recommendation. It hasn't failed me yet and you can even check gas prices in the area with it.

I gues I can live without that as it would only depress me to see US gas prices. We pay just over £1 ($2) PER LITRE now and most of that is tax!

And the GPS makes it even better. I love searching for things that are near wherever I happen to be.
Thanks for all the input and replies. Since I have my own thread I can ask where do I download windows live? Also, what else are you guys using it for? One more, do most of you use Opera mini and what are the differences?
Thanks, I know they are total noob questions but I get tired of reading and searching sometimes.
Thanks again.

I use LiveSearch for mapping, directions, phone & address lookup, store & restaurant seaches, etc.
I use both PIE and Opera Mini. I like PIE for mobile enhanced websites (e.g. ESPN for scores) but for regular websites Opera Mini has it beat hands down with its scrolling and zooming features (that work nicely with TouchFlo).
Is there a drawing software for Diamond? Where you can draw with the stylus and then paint your drawing etc? I thought i read about that kind of a software but i cant seem to find it. Maybe it was a dream, haha! Would be awesome though, wouldnt it?

Nice. I've just searched and didn't find a very thorough list of what's out there. At least not in this forum. Just a few short threads with the same couple of image editors referenced.

There's a pretty good roundup of retail programs available on MobileTech Review. Looks like you've found Pocket Artist. It's probably one of the best out there. But it will set you back $20. Well worth the price though.
Here are a few others to check out. Pencil Box Deluxe will set you back about $10, but works well and has some great features. Mobile Atelier works pretty well. This is the free version, but I believe there's also a retail version available. A similar program is VSPainter. It's retail at $25, but there's also a slightly crippled free version available. Then there's PocketPicture. It's pretty basic, but free and good for doodling. And here's another called Mobile Painting.
Then you've got a whole slew of very basic, free, and similar paint-clone programs. Such as PaintWinCE, KidColor, MiTo Team Paint, Paint & Create, and PDAcraft Paint.
Then there are programs like SPB Imageer. Not a drawing program per say, but does have some photo editing capabilities. Same with XnView, and LookMobile.
Have fun drawing!
Thanks alot, man. That was alot of nice drawing tools!
I've been searching for a Shop Savvy-like program for WM and am getting nowhere. Does anyone know if one has been made, and if so, point me in the right direction?
like the shopping channel on your kaiser? ha, no my friend never even heard of such a thing
spb online is the only one i can think of
Shop Savvy is a program for the G1 (aka Google Android). It scans barcodes with the camera, and checks prices and compares them between different stores.

Thanks for the tip, I will try it out.
Edit: Seems it is a 2d barcode reader. I need something that will read 1d barcodes. Nice try though.
Diddo, would love to see a wicked proggy like this one. Let's keep our eyes out.

Barcode reader...in process
Search Barcorama.
The early BETAs have not been bad. It does what you are looking for.

WWW.fastpricecheck.com You have to manually type in bar code #'s, but it works.
here's the app you're looking for: http://www.fuzemobility.com/snap-a-photo-of-a-barcode-and-automatically-compare-prices-online/
Why did you link away from xda?

You do realize that just links back here to xda to get Barcorama, right? And that Barcorama was just mentioned a couple of posts up.
shopspark for windows mobile
Hello,
We are releasing shopspark (same concept as shopsavvy and redlaser) for windows mobile in 2 weeks. please check back soon.
wasnt it supposed to drop a few weeks ago? anyone got the dirt on this?
I grow more frustrated with bloo and babbler everyday. Need a real solution!
You and me both
just use the mobile facebook page, it's better than any app I've ever come across anyway.
There's actually two versions:
x.facebook.com - better version, possibly the iPhone version. My Magic currently defaults to this no matter which url I enter.
m.facebook.com - slightly inferior, suited to WM & Symbian

Those are both pretty good, but can't seem to make status comments on the iphone version.
m.facebook.com is better but i just get redirected to iphone version.
You can indeed set a status on the iPhone version, you simply press "status" which appears in the blue bar at the top left

Yes, but try comenting on someones status.. or replying to someone that commented on your status
Oh sorry, misread...I thought you said you can't add a status of your own.
Yeah I can't seem to find how to comment either actually but you can go to the m.facebook site by clicking "Mobile site" at the bottom of the page. That stops the default to x.facebook that you get by typing them in the address bar

Ah nice, it is working. Last time I tried it just kept redirecting me. Hmm.. perhaps I didn't press that link
its aggravating that because of google and facebook hating eachother they're taking it out on their customers! oh well hopefully they figure this out soon.
i was under the impression that google had sent an android engineer to facebook to help them sort it out quicker.

ahahha man that guy must feel like a total douche bag
The lack of an official facebook app was the only thing that shocked me. I just got my MT3G two days ago and that was pretty upsetting considering even the Blackberry FB app was pretty nice.
Maybe t-mobile will be releasing a facebook app for their mytouch.

That's not an official facebook app, just a facebook sync app htc made.
ahh, ok. I seen that and thought maybe there was going to be a facebook app that worked in conjunction with the phone or something.
Good question.
I'm sick of Babbler and Bloo.
Those are crap, in my opinion.
FACEBOOK FTW!!!
I was fortunate enough to get a beta copy of the official app... guys all I can say is wow, this is gonna blow the iphone app out the water!!!
It's on the same level if not above. It does everything your desktop version does , chat is enabled. It was a beta and was still a little bit slow but you can get a general idea of where they are going with the app
Dont know if I'm allowed to post screenshots??
