What is "Enable Auto Lock" app? - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

Noticed this is my windows folder while searching for the htc lock app, what is it?
It lets you select a check box to "Enable Auto Device Lock", but i can't see the results.
The exe is called "DeviceLockSetting.exe"
Where is this auto happening??!!?

I want this to work
I enable it but i dont see any locking going on that would be classified as "Auto"

Is it possible to create a toggle to turn off radio (Better Cut or Any Cut)

So I know how one can get into the "Phone Info" section to find a button to "Turn Off Radio", which will turn off the phone radio, but still allow Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. That page can be accessed either by dialing "*#*#INFO#*#*", or by using the "Phone Info" activity shortcut in Better Cut.
What I would like to do, is create a toggle that would allow me to toggle the radio on or off, without having to get into the "Phone Info" page. Has anyone been successful with creating this toggle? I haven't been able to find anything through a search on here...or even a Google search. Basically, this would be another toggle, like airplane mode, but it would actually allow the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth to remain active.
Thanks!

Google has specifically disallowed apps from doing this kind of thing because they were turning on data roaming and so on without telling the user. Although if you can turn it off with a feature code it might be possible that way, that is apps can dial numbers so ....
It is certainly possible... for a phone that has root. Look through the available terminal commands, and write an app to turn off the phone from the console.
Where is a listing of terminal commands? Realistically, I would think I should be able to find the "action" and "data" values that correspond to the "Turn radio off" button function, which would allow me to do this as a shortcut, rather than writing a program....which would be harder, as I do not have experience in that realm.

[Q] missing "Map it" option in "find my phone" service

I have just got a HD7. In the setting section, under the find my way category, I have a problem.
first, the phone says that find my way is not available.
Second. The option that allows me to let the phone save my locations for faster whatever does not exist. i.e. instead of two options in find my phone setting, I just have one. the other is missing.
third, in the windows live website, there is no sign of the "Map it" option that it should be there. other features like lock and ring work perfectly fine through SMS, NOT push notification.
although this is not a big deal, but I wonder what can be the reason. I live in turkey. can that be for it that the map it option is not available in turkey, or maybe HTC has decided to protect our privacy better by removing the save my location option. anybody has any idea?

I have the same problem, anyone can solve this?
Set your number in the settings, then it should work. Or try to change your locale settings (WL and phone)
On my device it's also missing.
When I logged into the website windowsphone.com suddenly on the phone instead of those two checkboxes with options, I've got only now :
"Ring, lock or erase your phone......" and slider setting "On/Off".
How to bring the maps on?

[SOLVED] Security options greyed out after Airwatch uninstall

I was doing some contract work and I had to install Airwatch (MDM) on my device to access corporate email, and apps. As part of install I had to encrypt storage, and set numbered PIN. Once contract ended, I uninstalled Airwatch. Unfortunately some of the corporate security policies applied remain in effect, No Swipe Lock, certain Android settings greyed out (see screenshots).
I did some research and several suggestions were proposed that seemed to work for other persons (remove App as sys admin, remove credentials). I have removed App as sys admin, but am unable to clear security credentials as it is greyed out.
The unfortunate side effect I now have is that on my own device I am not able to upgrade my Android version as upgrade is only allowed on unecrypted device. I can not unencrypted my device as option is greyed out.
My device is a Samsung Note 4, Android 4.4.4 on Tmobile.
I would appreciate any assistance on how to enable the greyed out security options. I am comfortable using command line and adb, so any adb shell suggestions are welcomed, as are any other options.
I think I have resolved the above. When I would select Security->Decrypt Device I was prompted to enter a password, which I did. A screen would then appear, at the bottom of the screen would be a "Change lock password" option. I would select the option as it was the only option. Next I would be presented with "Select Screen Lock" screen. I would stop here, as it did not make sense to me why it would prompt me with this option to Decrypt Device, as I already had a screen lock password set.
Well I finally select the only option enabled in the "Select Screen Lock" screen, "Password", and set a new screen lock password. It then when through the process of Decrypting device.
When Decryption was complete, a side effect was that the options in the "Select Screen Lock" screen were now enabled.
My Clear Credentials option is still greyed out, but I was able to upgrade to Lollipop which was my ultimate goal.

Change an option from Developer Options after every boot automatically

I want to change an option from Developer Options (specifically the background process limit) but now I have to do it manually because this option changes back to the default after every reboot. Is there a way for this change to happen automatically after every reboot, either using Tasker or any other app? I run on Android 9.
Much to my surprised amazement, looking into this for you I discovered the classic IntangibleObject Secure Settings plugin has resurrected itself with an update back in January 2019.
What you want is easy peasy with this plugin. It's under Root Actions -> Background App Processes
Without root also possible -> open dev settings -> scroll down -> autoinput

Would you mind elaborating a bit more on how to do what I want, using Tasker and the app you suggest? If you have time for a step-by-step guide, I would really appreciate it. I have both apps now but I cannot figure out how to make it (it is the first time I am trying to use tasker)

If you mean in the device's dev settings (which, in my device/rom are called Developer Options), there is no autoinput option.
If you are that new to Tasker, then you would really benefit from taking time to read up on it. There are countless write-ups, videos, posts here in this forum geared towards beginners...
Even if you're not planning to need/want a profile, work through a beginner tutorial anyway which will get you familiar with how to add profiles, tasks and connect them.
To use the secure settings plugin action, you do have to be rooted. That's why it's under "root actions". You just add an plug-in action in a task for the secure settings plugin. Then configure that action to run the background process to whatever setting you want.
I would guess in your case the profile context would be an event -> system -> device boot.
BTW, the advice of using AutoInput you were given is a plugin for Tasker also. It would be a non-root method of emulating the taps you otherwise do manually. The specific advice was assuming some familiarity with Tasker and was actually the (abbreviated) steps to achieve what you want using AutoInput.
Import this profile, if you gave Tasker required permissions, should work without root. Just change int value in task.

Wireless Android Auto question

I have a Kenwwod head unit in my car which has wireless Android Auto connection and it works really well with my Pixel 5.
To activate and see the Google maps on my head unit screen, I have to press the Google Maps icon, I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that if you have Anddoid Auto wireless connection, when you get in the car, the head unit will automatically open Google Maps and that's what you will see on the head unit straight away.
Am I correct that this is a future update for Google Maps/wireless android auto ? Or am I dreaming?
Thanks
Does yours default to the home screen (icons)? I think there was a setting for it somewhere. I can't remember where though. Maybe try poking around the setting cog that is displayed on the radio face.
Mine defaults to the last navigation app that I used.
edited: because I re-read the question.
If Android Auto isn't starting automatically...
1. Enable "developer settings"
2. Enable "Request video focus on start" in developer settings.
3. Profit.
I have "Add wireless projection to settings" and "Request video focus on start" both enabled in developer settings.

My head unit (new model for 2021) seems to default to most last used screen, but not Google Maps. I have had a look in the Developer Settings and cannot see the options you mention.
