Has anyone upgraded to the T-Mobile UK ROM for the MDA and can tell us how good it works, and what it's flaws are.
I've just bought my daughter an Unlocked Vodafone v!615 so that she can use it on the Orange Network. I already have the HTC TYTN II on Orange and she prefers the screens on my phone than hers.
Can anyone tell me how we can change hers to look like mine? Does it require us to flash the rom or is it much simpler than that? If it does require a flash ROM can anyone tell whichone and how - or point me in the right direction?

I'm using TyTN II (Sold in Europe by T-Mobile as MDA Vario) running on WM6 Professional.
Checked HTC url for WM6.1 upgrade, but my mobiles serial# has no updates! I believe many of the users are facing this problem.
Can anyone plz help us for upgrading to WM6.1?
Also there is hanging problem, which some say that it's TyTN II's unresolved issue?! Comment on this pl.

If you have a T-Mobile phone, why don't you download the update from the t-mobile site?
(and remember it's a one way upgrade, no turning back... I wished that i didn't upgrade my phone because it is much slower)
But T-mobile site no more provide support to this model!
Anyone to help?!

My friend...i have been reading posts and posts....and more posts. I have a Vario iii from T-Mobile UK and is STUCK with the same problem. I am trying to find software to upgrade to mobile 6.1 and have downloaded endless software but is still unable to get my phone to upgrade to the correct ROM. It goes into recovery mode everytime. My phone is unlocked to ALL networks. I am in South Africa and LEAF Technologies (HTC South Africa) is not even helpfull to give me ANY support. If you find something somewhere....please email or contact me.

My phone is a MDA Vario 3 and I just upgraded mine with the AthineOS as per my signature and everything works fine.

Hey guys!
I bought my HTC Touch Diamond off eBay a couple of months ago. (It came unlocked) I have been using it with my Telstra sim card ever since i got it (I live in Australia, by the way) anyway, i am now going to switch over to the Hutchison 3 network, so i went over to the HTC site to try to download the ROM update, for this network. Unfortunately, because i bought my phone off eBay, it came from South Africa, so it won't let me download the ROM upgrade.
Is there anything i can do to get this update?

Hi guys, my first post so would like to say hello firstly and glad I found a dedicated forum on WP7 and the HD7!
Anyway, I've just bought my very first WP7 and HTC handset which was from an eBay shop based in the UK.
The phone came with a EU plug so it's obviously not a UK phone but that's ok. What I am worried about though is that settings such as the radio and keyboard don't have the UK listed as an option. The radio setting only has 'World, North America and Japan' and the keyboard only has 'English US'. I did have to change the region to UK as it was defaulted to AU.
Any ideas if I can get UK listed and if it would even make a difference? Not really worried about the keyboard to be honest, but I have found the radio to be very poor - I can only pick up one station which is BBC Radio 1, and even that is quite temperamental.
