New ROM Versions available???

Hello Guys.
Browsing the clubimate ftp server i found those to ROMs:
Maybe they are new, cause the date is from 4. Oct. 2005.......
KJAM_Arabic_ROM_1010903_103_10110_cdl_me_ship.exe
KJAM_WWE_ROM_1010903_104_10110_cdl_wwe_ship.exe

Im guessing the "_ship" part means thats what was shipped with the device.

Most of the available ROMs on the ftp contains the _ship. So i do not believe that it is the original ROM.
But users of the wizards could easily compare it. So this posting was just informatial......

Hello,
I am very new to this forum.
I live in Italy and I am interested in buying a Wizard.
Up to now only the WWE edition is going to be available here.
The question is: is possible/easy to upgrade the rom with a Italian one?
Will the localized Italian rom be updated as frequently as the WWE will?
Ah, another one: the Italian version will have a italian keyboard?

I have downloaded this ship rom and ran the installer to confirm the version. I got a really strange result that maybe others can tell me what they mean.
On the final confirmation screen before starting the rom update process it states that it is upgrading to model id of Prodigy with Image version 09.
What the heck is this, a beta pre-ship release maybe? The attached image clearly shows a picture of the wizard device so i'm wondering what imate are doing.
Needless to say, there's no way i was going to press next and actually install it as i wouldn't want to risk ending up with a 2 day old paperweight :wink:

can i change German to English by this file?

Sure. You can use K-Jam or QTek9100 rom on Dopod 838.
Unlocked it first. Backup your original rom with "r2sd all" command.
And try to upgrade with K-Jam or Qtek9100 rom.

Keep looking at your posts but I cannot access as a member to the ClubImate server, since my M3000 Orange IMEI is not ok for the membership.

These roms are only for I-Mate K-Jam? Can we install em on Qtek 9100?

D810 WM6 Eng to WM6 CHT

I have been reading this forum, it seems that at this moment, there is no solution to flash D810 WM6 Eng to WM6 CHT Rom. I have not done any rom flashing before, sorry for my ignorance.
Am I right to say that ? Can any expert help to clarify that I am wrong ?

I think the procedure is the same as flashing any of the cooked ROMS.
My Dopod D810 is CHT originally but I flash my baby like 10 times to several different ROM versions...
I suggest you goto the wiki of Trinity and dig it...

Can I use the p3600i Roms listed on the sticky thread at the top of this page on a plain p3600? I understand from a quick search that you can't flash a P3600i with a P3600 rom.
Which P3600 Rom out of the bazillion choices out there will be best for maximum stability? Any links?

For exactly the same reason...the header which tells the ROM which memory to use.....64 or 128.
I know this can be changed, but the 2 ROMs which are dedicated P3600i ROMs have identical cousins in P3600 versions....so what would be the point. All the other ROM's are ones that we were able to change the header to suit P3600i from P3600.

I placed the .nbh named as topaimg.nbh to the SD-card
went to bootloader.
Flash process starts but stops with message: not allowed.
Any solution ?
