How to use Comm Button for Toggle-Vibrate - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

Hi everyone,
In Jasjam there was a cab file to make it in vibration mode once you hold the Comm Manager Button
I tried this cab in my Kaiser after locating a Comm Manager Button to the OK Buttonn (The one below the Jog wheel)
However this didn't workout
Can someone help regarding this?

Search for a program called VibraSwitch. Install it and then assign it to the button of your choice. Works great!

Comm Manager Icon on Today page?

I have upgraded my QTEK 9100 to the 2.26 ROM from RIsidoro (eventually...) and where I used to have the Comm Manager Icon on the Today page (bottom right) there is now a battery icon and I must click Start, Programs to launch Comm Manager. Is this by design? Can I restore the Comm Manager icon to the Today page?
Thanks
Andy
What about that little button on the left side of the device?

Search for PHM TrayLaunch and install it. It allows you to select the buttons in the lower right corner. Search the threads - there are full discussions.

HTC Home: Missing Contact Tab

At some point in the past few days HTC Home stopped displaying the Contacts/Favorites tab. I am (and have been) using HTC Home Customizer and I see Contacts as a choice on the Tabs setting and have selected (and de-selected several times) it but it still won't display the tab on the home screen.
I tried re-installing HTC Home but no joy...
Any and all thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated. I'm hoping someone can share their registry entries for HTC Home and/or Contacts?
Did you install one of the TouchFlo/Biotouch Cube installation cabs? They add a registry key that hides the contacts from HTCHome
^^^ If you did
i had the same problem and this worked

I did (unsuccessfully) and the registry tweak above fixed it.
Thank you all!!!!
Greg
ZILLA - thanks, couldn't remember the exact registry value off hand ... didn't have time to look it up at that point
gregeast - glad to hear that fixed it. Sorry you didn't get the cube working ... it's not an easy install at this point, but pretty cool when you do get it working.
Thank the lawd! It works! I've been searching and reinstalling for a week.
Nice thanks
Where do you find the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/OEM/MASD/QuickDial on the unit, have searched loads of directorys but couldn't find it to delete it?
Well sounds stupid, but you really looked in the Registry and not the File Structure? It is exactly there under MASD....

You have to use Regedit program and to search you have to search for QuickDial
not the whole thing. If you cant find a registry editing program, I think you are out of luck.

Map button to Enable/Disable WiFi

I have read this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=334759&highlight=remap and I was wondering if there was a way to map the PTT button to Enable/Disable WiFi, like the function on the keyboard, not link to Wireless Manager.
Thanks.
Remapping might be possible
I remapped another button (mailbutton) to enable/disable WiFi. The software you need is WiFiTrigger.exe. Once started the .exe enables WiFi, started again, WiFi is disabled. Search Google for "WiFiTrigger".
Hope this helps...
Hbutton
Use Hbutton
SPB Pocket Plus will do this job too..
I download wiftrigger.exe and Hbutton and because Wifitrigger is not an installed program I can not link to it. Is there a way to add it to the list or link to any file?

create a shortcut and put it in \windows\start menu\programs
Wow! I don't know why I haven't thought to search for that, but that's a great little app! Wifi Trigger works great if you either create a shortcut, or just move the program into windows\start menu\programs, and it can be found here:
http://ae.inc.ru/aewft.php
Thanks a lot , it works great.
I'm also looking for something like this. Tried wifi trigger but i don't like the notifications--want one that just does it. AE button plus did it well but i don't want to install it just for that.

In the today screen plugin, it should have a wifi trigger.

How to remove panels totally

So this is a question.
I don't use them, I don't want them, I don't need them.
How to remove them totally so that I have again control on the button and that I can assign something else to it?
I would like to do this w/o flashing another rom or recooking of some existing one.
So far I was able to do small workaround so that button for them only shows small error message, but doesn't show them.
Tnx for help
You can assign the button to any other .exe, use seach its found here. Best way to get rid of panels s to flash a lite rom.

You can, just create a new button on AEButton Plus, also remember to turn off the SE Illumination notification on the button.

When I press add button in AEB it doesn't detect it, HEX value for it is 0000, other buttons work.
On previous itje versions of rom w/o pannels I could map that key to something else w/o problems, but not on the latest ones with pannels.

Tnx, this was exactly what I was looking for, but AEB still cannot find and recognize key.
I have absolutely no idea what you could do else.
Be sure to:
- Delete the whole registry key HKLM\Software\SonyEricsson\PanelManager
- Delete *both* Startup shortcuts "panelmanager.lnk" and "Paneldefault.exe"
- Soft-reset
- Assign button in AEBPlus (I use version 2.6.5)
- Soft-reset
[edit] I use stock ROM version R2, so maybe thats the problem.

Change the Left SoftKey to become "StartMenu"

Hi everyone,
Anyone knows the shorcut name for the StartMenu? Because I like to change the Left SoftKey to activate the StartMenu
Why? Doesn't work your hardware start menu button anymore?
The only solution I've found so far is a Mort-Script:
Just install MortScript and extract the attached file to your device.
