I am having very very poor accuracy with MS Voice Command opening the correct program when I tell it to. For example, "Open Program Word" opens consistently gives me a box titled Questions, with info about what MemMaid reclaimed. "Open Program Excel", and it want's to call one of my contacts. It has worked in the past.
I have never had this work: "Play Genra <whatever genre>" It alwasy says "What Genre?" and starts listing them.
Anyone else have better luck with music? Any thoughts on my programs?
I'm thinking I need to reinstall. If I do, do you reckon I need to do the registry tweaks again?

have none of the problems you are having.... When I voice command to open a certain program, all I say is "Open Word" or Open "Excel" or "Open NotePad". I do not say "Open Program word"
In order for you to voice command a music profile, you must have had the music files stored as play lists that corresponds to Genre for example or Artist, or song title.
Doh! I had a brain fart. I was looking at the command 'tutorials' on Microsoft, and they say to say "Open program". So, I said "Open Program Word". Duh...Thanks, I got it now.
Regarding the music, I don't have all albums in Playlists, but I do have Genre's set in the tags. So, it should work.
And guess what...same problem. I've been saying "Play genra Jazz" instead of "Play Jazz".
OK. I"m on the road !
Thanks.
[edit]
Actually the MS Tutorial says to say "Play Genre Name". Anyway, the correct method is "Play Jazz".

I'm using Voice Command 1.6 and it says it quit due to low memory. It didn't used to do it but now it does it all the time. How much memory does it need? Is it because I have too many songs?
Voice Command 1.6 "DON"T WORK"
I purchased Voice Command 1.6 and installed it in my AT&T 8925 "Tilt" (HTC Kaiser). I get pop-up message "Voice Command is quitting because of low memory, please close running program" There are no other programs running. I'm confuded. The microphone icon doesn't appear on my Today screen. There is a lot of posting of users are having the same problem. I heard MS is aware of the problem and is keeping very quite about it. They don't want to recall all the Voice Command 1.6 for replacement. I used SKtools to increase RAM; same problem. I check start-up; 1. btdwake 2. poutlook 3. sddaemom 4. voice command. There are only 4 files. I am returning the software back to MS for a refund. We shouldn't have to accept this.
Do anyone out there have a solution? Geeks?
Thanks,
Steve
Whilhelm & Steveng2000:
I was able to clear up the problem utilizing SkTools:
Menu > View
place checkmark on: Maintenance, then scroll down & select Processes
Menu > Action > Attempt to free up RAM space
After I running the above, sufficient RAM space is now available to run MS Voice Command 1.6 on my Tilt.
That said, though I may on rare occasion get the 'low memory" pop-up display, if I merely press the PTT button again, MS Voice Command launches fines with mic icon appearing. btw: I have my Microphone AGC set to: Enabled
Wilhelm, not sure, but I doubt the number of songs you've got stored in your phone or storage card would have any effect on memory usage unless you're actually running your media player & other apps concurrently while operating MS Voice Command.
Steveng2000: I've got the same exact four files (plus a few more in addition) as you in the Startup folder, but not experiencing your problem.
This said, perhaps someone else here might have other suggestions for Steveng2000 & Wilhelm to try in fixing the problem on their Tilt.
Jazz
Where is MSVC installed? It should definitely be stored on the device, not the card.
I haven't had any troubles with MSVC on my Tilt, other than still having to install ZaJules BT Command fix, enable it, reset, disable it, reset, pair headset. After that - bingo!
Forgive me if this question has come up in the past. I have searched the Wiki without success, especially when it comes to my specific problem.
For reasons that are unknown to me, my TyTN II will no longer play voice recordings on Windows Media Player. When I open the Voice Recorder program and make a test recording, it will not play when I hit the play button. If I then find the file in file explorer (My Voices), and then click on it, Windows Media Player opens, but I get the following error message:
"No combination of intermediate filters could be found to make the connection."
Everything was working fine just a week ago, but now I can't play any recorded files.
Does anyone know how I can resolve this issue? Please help.
Thank you,
Peter
"No combination" issue solved ...
Hey, folks. After a lengthy investigation, several hard resets, and re-installing everything quite a few times, I have discovered the reason for the error message, "No combination of intermediate filters could be found to make the connection."
As my original message indicated, for reasons entirely unknown at the time, I was unable to play sound files. Following my investigation; however, I discovered that the problem was not limited to sound files, but also included video files. They would produce the same error message.
The problem? Pocket Mechanic Professional v2.92 and, specifically, the Registry Cleanup feature. If you fill in either one of the two selection boxes, "Empty Open/OpenDoc keys," or "Empty registry keys," and then run the program, you will delete important registry entries that will immediately stop sound and video files from working in at least the following two programs:
Voice Recorder
Windows Media Player
Hopefully this information can help others from experiencing the utter frustration that lead me to this unfortunate conclusion.

i have the same software too
is there anybody that can give me those? and were do i put them
thanks

That thing also happened to me!
Any way (other than hard reset) to fix it?
Hi,
I copies all my music to internal\music\"CD_title" as mp3 files
in each folder there is the cover as a jpg file
I never get touchflo to show all cd covers one after another in a scrolable way.
It only shows ONE cd cover.
When I go to library, I see all uploaded cds, here I can pick a new one to listen to. The cover then is shown but always one at a time.
I read lots of messages but still can't find a way to solve this issue.
All help is welcome
Thank you all
when you go to library, do you choose for 'all songs' first? If you choose that one it should show all covers in the player.
After reading your post not sure how you did organize your files, I have all mp3's in one folder on the diamond, not in separate folders per cd or artist.
Besides that, what I've found out also, if the album or track titles contains special characters like ":" or ">" then the album art won't show for that particular song. I replaced them with "-" and all is fine now.
makes no difference.... even if I choose "all songs", all I get is 1 cover...

hmmm, putting all mp3's in one folder and see how it goes then? When you select all songs, then tap on one song in that list, it should now go to the 'main; screen again, still only shows one cover?
And with one song you mean it also doesn't shhow the 'covers' with questionmarks in it?
(zooitje inderdaad)
I stored all my mp3 files into the \internal\music folder
Did a soft reset
go to "music" -tab
get: searching
get: "nothing found"
go to library: all files with correct covers are shown
choose "all songs"
go back to the main screen...
get: "nothing found"

What happens when you select a track in the 'all songs' library to play it?
Hi
earlier i had the same problem!
then i tried media monkey because it allows you to auto tag your mp3 files from internet.
i copy all mp3 in an extra folder on my pc, start mediamonkey and begin to tag all selected mp3 files with albumcovers , songname etc. after copy the files to my diamond all covers were shown correct in tf3d !
greetings
mr moe
I'm making progress now...
Now I get cd covers, with 2, then another cover of the same cd with 4 tracks.
I can not find any difference in the tag..
I used the suggested media monkey..
What's next
JP
seems the covers are sorted by song and not by album...
If I can sort this out, I think my problem is solved.
Please.... HELP!!!! final step is so near now!
JP
Guys... please do read everything I write... you simply won't find a better source of info on a given subject than those articles... see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=415063 , it answers ALL your questions.
all that is left is to know the way to sort my mp3-files by album or artist...
JP
Nobody for this final question?

this has also been answered by my bible. On the Diamond alone, you can't, unless you use either Pocket Player on CorePlayer. Both of these players here far better sorting capabilities than WMP
Do I need the WMP even if I use the default rouchFlo music player... the one that opens when you are on the correct tab... you know what I mean
Unsure why, but having had a few wm handsets this has never bothered me showing cd art, but this has really annoyed me on this one i think before it's just worked ! anyhow eventually sorted this for myself - none of the guides on here helped to be honest my solution is this..
The jpg must be named accordingly:
htc_"album name".jpg
Appears that the album name must be exactly as in the id3 tag and is case sensitive.
Hope this helps as it's been annoying me all morning.
I have had this problem several times and although I am sure that most of you know the solution, there might be people who will find this useful. I post it here and not in the general or other sections, because many Xperia owners have asked this.
I do not know what is the reason, but every so often my media files (music, videos, etc.) get either associated with the wrong program, or with no program at all, (picture 1) in this case mp3 files.
When you click on a such a file, you usually get the message "file type not supported", or "cannot be recognized". The other side effect that I have noticed is that when you open a folder containing such files, they tend to be shown literally one by one in a very slow and frustrating process.
There a couple of ways to alter file association in WinMo, but the only one that has worked for me has been "SKTools"
http://s-k-tools.com/index.html?sktools/m_feat.html
I have tried some reg tweaks, that didn't work and using Resco File Explorer's "open with" function, but it didn't work either.
Here is what you have to do. Open SKTools and go to the "System Tweaks" category (picture 2). Click on "File Types" and wait 20 seconds for it to load the file types list (picture 3).
You can see that mp3 files are associated with the program "Kinoma Play". Sometimes the association is blank. Either way, you have to click on 'action" and press "edit".
This will open the edit menu (picture 4). Change the association of the file to the desired program, in this case "Pocket Music" (picture 5). Press "ok" and check the new association (picture 6).
You can go back to the folder where your files are stored and behold the new icons (picture 7). Clicking the file will open it with no annoying "file type unsupported" messages.
The same procedure is used for other types of media files: mov, 3gp, mp4, jpg, gif, bmp, etc.
I hoe this was helpful to someone out there.
Cheers .
Hi
I am trying to create profiles with Autovoice and I am not able to check regex replacements, everytime I check regex it finally returns false. Even the other options seem not to be working properly.
Any idea ?
I noticed not that long ago battery saving apps can interfere with the way tasker works.
There are other possibility such as with regex, you always have to start and end with a comma, in the value section of the variables and they are case sensitive.
Other than that I don't know what else it could be.

what is the raw text that you want to get matched? is it English?
So my mother tongue is French, I wanted to set commands in french: like "bonjour (?<name>.+)", so I would have to set regex to true, right ?
Since you asked about language, I just set language to English, and changed command to "hello (?<name>.+)".
The main problem I guess isn't that voice commands won't trigger, it is simply that I could not even checkmark "use regex" option.
I also downloaded a profile from someone else which contains that kind of commands. One of them is "open (?<esfile>.+)" using regex. When I activate its profile and use voice it works flawless. The working profile clearly shows : Autovoice Recognized Command: "open (?<esfile>.+) (regex)". And mine would not show (regex) with parenthesis.
I don't understand it.
And HatchetEgg, where should I put commas ?
hi, I used to have problems like this I guess! hence the question about language. Did you try search for the name in Google and copy paste the name Google returns in the result into your task?
