Hoping someone can guide me to correcting this. When I open any sms, the screen automatically jumps to the bottom of the screen, and I have to scroll up to read the msg....
Anyone experience this and found a solution...?

Download KaiserTweak from here...http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=KaiserTweak
Or from the .cab below.
Scroll to PocketIE
Where it says D-Pad Scroll Navigation...change it to Disabled.
Should fix your issue.
Thanks... I was looking for this... but hesitated to post as it was not a BIG issue for me... However - if this fixes the problem - well and good
Thank you, i've the same problem since 3/4 days, and it's work.
But i've yet the notification again (ring and icon an the top) when i open the sms.
Any ideas?
Thank's
Can i please suggest that you SEARCH THE FORUM before posting new threads like this. There have been at least 5 Threads started for this issue... and each thread has had the solution posted...
Sorry, really, but i haven't find anything, even with search option, just for disable sms notification, not for 2 notifications for 1 sms...
sorry.

I had this problem on my 8525 after flashing one of many ROM's and now have it on my Tilt with stock ROM. When sending a new sms or replying to one, the screen defaults below the address part onto the bottom of the text portion of the screen. I know this is a reg hack that is needed, but for the life of me I can not find it in a search. This was a common problem on the 8525's after a certain ROM upgrade if anyone remembers.
you mean where it cuts off the person's info you are replying to?
Yeah its annoying!
Doesn't cut it out, but when you open the window to reply, it defaults to only showing the text area, and uses the bottom part of the screen as the point that it sets to show. Thus, the top part of the text reply window is off the screen.
And yes, it is very annoying. I gotta find the reg hack to fix this!
As I recall it happens when the reg is set to use the right and left nav buttons to page down when using IE, it causes the sms to open at the bottom of the screen and you have to scroll back.
This question was asked by another Kaiser user.....guess you guys have all been busy flashing ROMs
The answer IS a reg hack, and here's a link to the reply I posted - the OP hasn't responded to say whether the problem is now cured, but if it's the same issue I experienced on my Hermes, the above answer will work.
Post back....I'd like to know if it works (I'll be getting my Kaiser next month, so this will be something to add to the "Tips and Tricks" document I'm compiling from everyone else's posts )
Cheers,
Mark.
My reg value is already set to 1 in this file. So, only option, set to 0 and lets see what happens!
Was just skimming through some threads and stumbled upon this. That problem was driving me crazy but i hadn't gotten to the point of searching for a solution yet.
This worked for me on my Hermes.
Thanks ^_^

Are you referring to the hack listed in the response above? Because on the Tytn II this value is already set as stated in that thread.
No this is not the same issue the Hermes had when you set the D pad to scroll in IE that issue was the "text curser" would be all the way at the bottom of a screen no matter what cutting off half of emails and what ever else text was sent to you. there is nothing to fix this issue as of now. BUT when I compose a new SMS it ALWAYS starts at the address line not sure why your don't
found this thread in general but nobody response to it there..so i just wonder maybe somebody can help..i am having the same problem...
Hi all,
I am posting a thread after 3 hours of checking the internet to see if others report the same bug.
I am currently using a Kaiser with WM6. Just to describe my problem, when i enter the SMS application (mailbox) and i click on an SMS to read it, the bottom of the page is displayed first (usually blank screen), so everytime i need to use the scroll bar to see the message content which is on the top of the page.
I know it is not a major issue but it's still really annoying. As i said i have been looking everywhere but so far with no chance. This might be a registry problem, maybe caused by the installation of a program, but i don't have anything fancy on my mobile so far.
Anyway, thanks in advance for your help.
Bye
Please search these forums before posting a thread. This has been addressed multiple times on this forum. Solution is to disable d-pad navigation in the pocketIE section of kaisertweak.
Known issue:
Have you Kaiser Tweak installed? Disable D-Pad Scroll Navigation for PocketIE,
beause this tweak causes that behaviour.
This will solve the issue.
Greetz,
Hans Olo
That is a known issue when you have installed KaiserTweaks and enabled D-Pad scroll navigation for PocketIE. Just set that value to Disabled (Default) and problem solved.

No Excuse
Just wiped my Tilt clean, and reinstalled only a select number of apps.
The problem is when i OPEN any email or TXT message, the initial screen is scrolled down so that it is just above the "click here to download" box, or about 1/2 way down a txt, so that the the beginning of the actual message is not even on the screen!
Anyone also experiencing this? Anyone find a workaround.
Currently Installed:
-Pocket Outlook "mark all as read"
-PhoneWeaver
-HTC Camera upgrade
-iLauncher
I have the same problem, would love to know the cause if anyone can help
I can't answer this per se, as I don't yet have a tilt, but after lurking this forum gathering information in anticipation of getting one, I know this has been addressed many times and you should be able to find the fix by searching.

It worked for me also!
This is kind of a strange question, but every time I receive a text message and go to view it, it opens so that it is scrolled down... Is there a way to fix it? I would like to just be able to open the text message and see who its from and be able to read the message without having a scroll up first. I tried a search on here, but I wasn't exactly sure what to search for so I didn't find and good results. Thanks for your time!
I have an ATT Tilt with wm6 pro
download schaps advance config and disable 4 way d-pad navigation.
Sweet! thanks, didn't realize it was the d-pad navigation problem. I actually used kaiser tweak to change it not schaps (unless those are the same thing...not really sure, but I already have kaiser tweak so I just used that)
Thanks for the help!
I was searching for this, thanks.
I have the same problem and it solved now! Thank you!
Another thread relating to the messages problem
If you'd have performed a *VERY* simple search such as "messages bottom", it would have brought this page up:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/search.php?searchid=11111756
And, oh, what's that? 5th Thread down? I think it says: "Messages open at the bottom!?", why, isn't that funny? he....
I'm sorry for the sarcasm but I'm getting tired of duplicate threads now..
Great, thanks, needed that fix too
Hi All,
I have a question. Every time I open a SMS/Mail the keyboard pops up automaticly while most of the times I only want to read the message.
It is making the screen smaller and it takes time.
Is there a way to solve it?
Further I did not find a way to have an audio/acoustical alarm when the battery is finished so in a call the phone will switch of at once and immediately without warning.
Do I miss some settings or .......
Thanks in advance for help, Remco
When you get the message...instead of opening it there...click on the inbox in the lower left area of screen and that will open it up without the keyboard...when you click on it in the envelope or sms screen...it opens it because it thinks you want to reply straight away.
Battery alarm??...dont think there is one to be honest. I havent seen anything in the notifications or alarm section of the phone...Shame really as it would have been useful to have some sort of alarm going off when the battery gets low or is about to die.

same thing here the keyboard pops up automaticly when opening message ?!
click on the inbox in the lower left area
cant find it ?
do you mean the notifications when new message comeup
yeah i also find it really annoying that the keyboard pops up automatically everywhere.
it was not like this on my old Wizard with WM5.
i looked around in the options but cant find anyway to not make the keyboard pop up automatically yet.
It's because you have no Hardware Keyboard, and as the OS assumes you want to reply, it's helping you out. You'd probaly find theres a bunch of people who love this feature as much as you hate it
Rory
lol
Why dont you just read it in TF3D? bt yeah as for the the battery sound you can go into sound & notifications and select to enable sound for 'Events' thats the best i can think of atm.
I also find it frustrating with the keyboard.
Can this be set with a registry key to not have it pop up.
If i need the keyboard I can klick down in the middle of the screen to bring it up.

Nope there is no solution to this problem. There will never be a solution to this problem.
DONT try and search this forum for a solution to this problem because searching for a solution to this problem will not find a single solution to this problem.
There IS NOT a cab installer available to fix this, just as there is NO registry entries available in this forum to solve this problem
There has in fact NOT been 3 Topics in the last week that have solved this same problem.
I suggest starting a few more new topics in the forum asking for solutions to this problem.
Sorry for the sarcasm but jeez how many times must the same question be asked in the same forum in the same week!!!!

Possible with (albeit commercial) pocketMax phoneAlarm.
