I was using the Custom RUU Wizard 1050412 WWE 101 11210 WWE to downgrade my Cingular 8125 and after flashing the ROM information reads as follow on the boot screen
IPL: 1.01
SPL 2.26
GSM: 01.12.10
OS: 1.5.4.2
Why is the SPL still at 2.26?
shouldn't it go back down to 1.XX
DID I BRINK my fone??????? This is really pissing me off

I read the sticky, unlock cid unlock reflash the rom to 1.XX twice and still the SPL is showing 2.26. Any other suggestion.

Run it twice and it will downgrade to the 1.xx on both ipl and spl. I did this yesterday. if your going up to the 3.3 eventually make sure you flash to a 2.XX before going full fledged 3.3. I thought I bricked my **** yesterday too, but luckily with the help of a few nice people on here, i got it worked out.

I ran it 3 times with no luck. I don't know what I'm missing the IPL is at 1.01 but the SPL is still 2.26. Now when I ran Lokiwiz 2b for the Super CID unlock I get error message, file too big. Help. This is driving me nuts

try reflashing the 1.xx twice, then doing lokiwiz, are you using the right lokiwiz? I'm no pro, but maybe that will help?
and did you copy the enablerapi file?

which lokiwiz version u are using I used 2b and 3

How to unlock CID?

Hi all. Tried and tried in vain, to replace the T-mobile splash screen, only to find out that the phone is CID locked.
Managed to upgrade to WM6 though, thanks to vlodeck and nocturne.op.15
Here's the phone details:
IPL: 2.06
SPL: 2.06.0000
GSM: 02.19.21
OS: 10.2.0.8 (WM6 by vlodeck & nocturne)
Oh, and also worth mentioning, my PC is running on Vista Ultimate, on which RUU's don't work. But some people said that if I install VMWare Virtual PC and install XP on that, RUU works through it.
So, how to unlock CID of this phone?

to cid unlock to need a ver. 1.xx of ipl/spl. And seeing you have 2.xx you cant really downgrade to ver.1.x

but can you told me whats rom have ispl ipl 1.x??

ok so saying you have ipl 1. what ever how do you cid unlock?

will have ipl and spl ver 1. wherever you can get to install or not, might work with a noID ruu. then you can use lokiwiz2 to unlock the CID

There are rom versions that have 1.xx IPL and SPL but from my own experience I know, that once you upgraded to 2.xx or more, you cant get back to 1.xx. The most you can get is 1.xx IPL and 2.xx SPL.

Maybe offtopic, but I have another question: If I have ROM from ERA GSM POLAND can I flash AKU3.3 TMobileUK ROM?

adexxx, you misunderstood me. You can't get 1.xx IPL and 1.xx SPL once you've already upgraded to 2.xx.
If it's an official ROM then you can flash it no problem. If its a custom ROM, use the tool I described in WM6 charmer thread.

When I tried to update with RUU: RUU_Charmer_38221_382127_026921_TMO_HR_WWE_Ship it showed error: INVALID VENDOR

use wizard noID upgrade utility. it's some around here, maybe even in charmer forum.

Now I have 3.0 IPL&SPL, my 1st splash was changed.

16. Watch the rebooting of your PDA, if BOTH IPL and SPL are 1.xx then great. Quite probably your IPL will be 1.xx and your SPL will be 2.xx. Rerun the button 1.05 ROM downgrade a second time and it will become 1.x on both IPL and SPL. You don't need to redo the unlocking.
when i try this I can't get the SPL to go back, IPL is fine, but i've tried 4 sucessive times, no chance..
I then tried this :-
Step 17 - Download and install the 3.08 IPL/SPL rather than the 2.26, your choice! (I suggest doing the T-Mobile 2.26 first but that's me )
that went ok, and then I tried flashing roms, but the only one I can get to work is the Wizzard Love ROM.
I'd love to run WM6 but i can't, if i try the other ROMS they flash ok, but I just go back to the Wizzard ROM when it reloads
any ideas ?

Well,
You missed the all important step 17,flashing the T-mobile 2.26,this cud have given you solid IPL/SPL 2.26 to work on,Instead opted for Edit to step 17,flashing 3.08.
Your device is not CID unlocked,download WST tool and check the status of your phone,
secondly you shudn't have upgraded your ipl/spl to 3.08,till you were sure your phone is cid unlock and both the ipl/spl are the same.
anyway download the wst tool to check your phone's status and post the report here,

i have 3.08 for IPL and SPL
I think the WST will not work from the bootloader (and i can't find it to download)
any further sugestions ?

In this particular situation no rom will flash,the only option is to get the IPL/SPL back to 1.xx,only than you can unlock.
If you are in boot loader,try to flash buttons 1.05 again,if worked,ok. otherwise download the latest official rom from the carriers site and flash,it will work and bring back your phone in working status.then flash button's 1.05 to unlock with lokiwiz02b.
Are you having any sdcard in your phone,remove it,it'll help,sometimes sdcard freezes the boot loader,by removing it,boot loader mode is released,good luck

MDA Vario Cid Unlocking / Rom flashing

Hi,
I have a sim unlocked MDA Vario (T-Mobile), but i want install any custom rom to it. I have followed this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298613 but instead lokiwiz i used the aWizard-V1_3beta2.zip. At the first step i downgraded my phone with Xda_MiniS_LaunchROM_v154102. I used the u function for the cid unlock after my device is restarted. But i cannot flash any rom into the device. I still get the 302 error. My device is still Cid locked? After the cid unlocking i got IPL 1.xx and SPL 2.xx after i reflashed with the buttopn 1.05 and the t-mobile 2.26 after i get the 302 message when i tried to flash a different brand rom. My original is IPL 2.26 / SPL 2.26 ROM is 2.26
Strange.... I compared the two dumps from two programs aWizard-V1_3beta2 / Lokiwizardb2 /lock_backup.bin before unlocking and cidunlocked.bin after unlocking/ is the same in the two programs. The question is? How possible the patched dump which is the lock_backup.bin is the same as the secondly patched lock_backup? The soft is not really pathcing?

You're not CID unlocked yet. You need to flash and reflash the XDA_MiniS rom or the button ROM until both your IPL and SPL are 1.xx and then CID unlock your phone. Sometime it takes a few time (up to 7 times or more) to get both your IPL and SPL to 1.xx so be patient and keep reflashing until you are successful. Once you're successful, or think you are, download and run Wizard Service tools (google for it) and click on CID actions to verify that you are actually CID unlocked and then flash back to the t-mobile ROM. After that you should be able to flash any ROM you want.

Can't Downgrad SPL 3.08
Tried 9 times now to flash the Button Rom to downgrade and I get the IPI to 1.05 (or 1.01) but the SPL is still stuck on 3.08. Any suggestions to download so I can unlock the CID?

hi, i am downgrading my wizard for days now. i followed the guided by dr puttingham. but my SPL won't downgrade. i used the button ROM & even the wizard_love ROM for several times now. my IPL is now 1.01 but my SPL is still 3.08. my wizard is a G3

Flash 2 Times in a Row the button Rom 1.05 and you'll get both ipl and spl 1.05.
Anyway (Since It is understood you are in the process Cid unlocking) if your IPL is 1.05 try the LokiWiz.
I Cid Unlocked having IPL 1.05 Spl 2.25.

thanks for your reply. but i did both the cid unlocking using lokiwiz and tried lashing the ROM twice and it still doesn't work

there must be something you missed in the directions.
Youa have to run the lockwiz aplication twice also. one for sim one for cid. usualy when I have that type of problem it is starring me in the face and i cant see it. I recomend stepping away from it for a bit.

got a g3 wizard from imate - imate k-jam. have been reading up on the various posts on flashing g3 devices.

i saw this "With your device connected to your computer as Guest, run the file that your downloaded. It's pretty much self-explanatory. Agree to everything, and let it do it's thing. It is downgrading your IPL to 1.05. You can only unlock your phone if the IPL is 1.xx, you can't do it if your IPL is 2.xx."
my worry is that my ipl is 2.xx
can i proceed with this? is there anyone who has successfully been able to do those steps on a device with 2.xx ?

I was having the same problem using button 1.05.Try using this rom The Xda_MiniS_LaunchROM_v154102.exe. Find it in the tutorial and download.Then follow the instructions.
