Hi all. Tried and tried in vain, to replace the T-mobile splash screen, only to find out that the phone is CID locked.
Managed to upgrade to WM6 though, thanks to vlodeck and nocturne.op.15
Here's the phone details:
IPL: 2.06
SPL: 2.06.0000
GSM: 02.19.21
OS: 10.2.0.8 (WM6 by vlodeck & nocturne)
Oh, and also worth mentioning, my PC is running on Vista Ultimate, on which RUU's don't work. But some people said that if I install VMWare Virtual PC and install XP on that, RUU works through it.
So, how to unlock CID of this phone?

to cid unlock to need a ver. 1.xx of ipl/spl. And seeing you have 2.xx you cant really downgrade to ver.1.x
but can you told me whats rom have ispl ipl 1.x??

will have ipl and spl ver 1. wherever you can get to install or not, might work with a noID ruu. then you can use lokiwiz2 to unlock the CID
There are rom versions that have 1.xx IPL and SPL but from my own experience I know, that once you upgraded to 2.xx or more, you cant get back to 1.xx. The most you can get is 1.xx IPL and 2.xx SPL.

adexxx, you misunderstood me. You can't get 1.xx IPL and 1.xx SPL once you've already upgraded to 2.xx.
If it's an official ROM then you can flash it no problem. If its a custom ROM, use the tool I described in WM6 charmer thread.
When I tried to update with RUU: RUU_Charmer_38221_382127_026921_TMO_HR_WWE_Ship it showed error: INVALID VENDOR

use wizard noID upgrade utility. it's some around here, maybe even in charmer forum.
OK, I flashed and it works fine.
Now I have 3.0 IPL&SPL, my 1st splash was changed.

I was using the Custom RUU Wizard 1050412 WWE 101 11210 WWE to downgrade my Cingular 8125 and after flashing the ROM information reads as follow on the boot screen
IPL: 1.01
SPL 2.26
GSM: 01.12.10
OS: 1.5.4.2
Why is the SPL still at 2.26?

I read the sticky, unlock cid unlock reflash the rom to 1.XX twice and still the SPL is showing 2.26. Any other suggestion.
Run it twice and it will downgrade to the 1.xx on both ipl and spl. I did this yesterday. if your going up to the 3.3 eventually make sure you flash to a 2.XX before going full fledged 3.3. I thought I bricked my **** yesterday too, but luckily with the help of a few nice people on here, i got it worked out.

I ran it 3 times with no luck. I don't know what I'm missing the IPL is at 1.01 but the SPL is still 2.26. Now when I ran Lokiwiz 2b for the Super CID unlock I get error message, file too big. Help. This is driving me nuts
try reflashing the 1.xx twice, then doing lokiwiz, are you using the right lokiwiz? I'm no pro, but maybe that will help?
and did you copy the enablerapi file?

I have a sim unlocked MDA Vario (T-Mobile), but i want install any custom rom to it. I have followed this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298613 but instead lokiwiz i used the aWizard-V1_3beta2.zip. At the first step i downgraded my phone with Xda_MiniS_LaunchROM_v154102. I used the u function for the cid unlock after my device is restarted. But i cannot flash any rom into the device. I still get the 302 error. My device is still Cid locked? After the cid unlocking i got IPL 1.xx and SPL 2.xx after i reflashed with the buttopn 1.05 and the t-mobile 2.26 after i get the 302 message when i tried to flash a different brand rom. My original is IPL 2.26 / SPL 2.26 ROM is 2.26
Strange.... I compared the two dumps from two programs aWizard-V1_3beta2 / Lokiwizardb2 /lock_backup.bin before unlocking and cidunlocked.bin after unlocking/ is the same in the two programs. The question is? How possible the patched dump which is the lock_backup.bin is the same as the secondly patched lock_backup? The soft is not really pathcing?

You're not CID unlocked yet. You need to flash and reflash the XDA_MiniS rom or the button ROM until both your IPL and SPL are 1.xx and then CID unlock your phone. Sometime it takes a few time (up to 7 times or more) to get both your IPL and SPL to 1.xx so be patient and keep reflashing until you are successful. Once you're successful, or think you are, download and run Wizard Service tools (google for it) and click on CID actions to verify that you are actually CID unlocked and then flash back to the t-mobile ROM. After that you should be able to flash any ROM you want.

Can't Downgrad SPL 3.08
Tried 9 times now to flash the Button Rom to downgrade and I get the IPI to 1.05 (or 1.01) but the SPL is still stuck on 3.08. Any suggestions to download so I can unlock the CID?

I have read the guides to unlocking and from what I see there are none that work on 3.xx SPL/IPL. I was able to downgrade the IPL but never the SPL.
I have seen several threads that say if you flash button rom (several times) it will eventually downgrade the SPL also, but all night as I worked I flashed the button ROM (about 12-15 times) and still can't downgrade the SPL from the 3.08, only IPL goes to 1.01
Tried the original Cingular ROM and it isn't accepted (I think because I have a higher SPL than the original 2.26), tried using the ShellTool, Tried SoftSPL too but none worked.
IS THERE A WAY TO DOWNGRADE THE 3.08 SPL SO THAT I CAN USE THE LOKIWIZ02 OR LOKIWIZ03. I saw a thred saying that 3.08 can't be downloaded but I also saw SEVERAL saying to just keep insisting with the Button rom that it will eventually work (but after almost 15 consecutive tries I've had it).
Any help would be GREAT.

Button ROM doesn't work for that. I tried numerous times too. The only ROMs that work to downgrade to anything else from 3.08 are the OEM releases from either T-Mo or AT&T.
The Cingular ROM isn't accepted because it checks the OS version number. I had to try several peoples' ROMs until I found one with a low enough version number to where the Cingular ROm could flash on top of it.
Try to flash T-Mobile 2.26 to bring it down to ipl/spl 2,26 then go for button's 1.05,hope it'll do the trick.

I want to downgrade my phone, too. but the original T-Mobile AKU2.0 say while reading the phones ROM-Version "only update"... so, with this no downgrade is possible.
How can i CID unlock with AKU3? I want to flash a new ROM from xda-developer as well... damn

You could probably extract the nk.nbf and use the standard tools to flash it.
The nk.nbf can usually be found in a .tmp folder in c:\documents and settings\yourname\Local Settings\Temp

Unless you are using official kjam update, otherwise please CID unlock your G3 device first, or you will face problems.

Just flash the t-mobile official ROM and you'll end up with your IPL/SPL being 2.26. WM6 works with 3.08 though so you shouldn't need to downgrade your IPL/SPL anyway. You should always flash back to an official ROM before flashing a new ROM though.
However if your device is not unlocked yet, what you need is IPL/SPL 1.xx, not 2.xx. For that you need to flash Button's 1.05 ROM until both IPL and SPL downgraded, then use either lokiwiz02, WST or aWizard to unlock your wizard. I believe that my brother' Wizard is CID unlocked already, because I also flashed many WM5 into it. But few days ago I tried to flash the WM6.1 and now it is stuck at the 1st splash screen.
I have a lot experiences from flashing rom by Hermes, Atom, Herald, Kaiser… I have read and tried many time how to solve this problem but it did not work. The re-flashing progress was exellent with ’ CUSTOM__RUU_Wizard_1050412_WWE_101_11210_WWE’, the screen still say as below:
IPL 1.01
SPL 3.08
GSM 01.12.01
OS 1.5.4.2
But any flash with other roms like T-Mobile 2.26 was stopped by connection or ID errors. The problem is how can I get the IPL/SPL back to 1.xx!

You need ipl/spl of 2.xx to upgrade to wm6

I know how to do it and did it many (10 ) times with custom rom but no good result. The IPL has been downgarded to 1.01 but SPL is still 3.08.

Check out the response from mestrini on the attached thread - he mentions something about the spl freezing if you downgrade from 3.xx to 1.xx
I was not aware of this info - and perhaps mestrini can give you some details on how to get around it - if that is the issue here.

If it had once got spl 2.26,you shud have tried to flash the button's a couple of more times to downgrade the spl to 1.xx,why again you upgraded to 3.08. Now I believe the SPL is locked at 3.08 and it requires more efforts to downgrade to 2.xx,the only way is to keep on flashing the tmo 2.26 some more times,if you are lucky,it might downgrade.Otherwise upgrade to 3.08 and keep using wm5 official stock Rom.
