New User Alert: - yes, I am one.
However - I did spend quite some time researching following question before posting (puts on asbestos suit anyway as sensible precaution...)
I like the Smart Dialer feature. I use Microsoft Business Contact Manager extensively for my work. Smart Dialer does not (by default anyway) access the BCM contact list. Is there any way to make Smart Dialer work with my BCM contacts?
I have used PocketMirror (which works) but I prefer to keep my biz contacts seperate from the default contacts, plus that is an unsatisfying hack, imho.
Many thanks in advance for any insight you may provide.

I have downloaded and installed above mentioned ROM upgrade and have the following issues where I hope someone can help:
1.) Camera does not work.
2.) GPRS works but cannot disconnect the connection - option is missing
3.) Today screen looks nothing like the one you constantly see on the web for WM 6 (big icons missing etc)
Does anyone have experience with this ROM ? I noticed there are a lot of WM6 versions around and perhaps I am just using the wrong one
1) Known problem, read the WM6 issues thread
2) This is a registry tweak you have to enable
3) What you see on the screenshots is the Smartphone Edition
Molski
3) Are you sure you're not looking at the Smartphone editions of WM6?
A couple more issues that I can't seem to find answers/solutions to (and yes, I've searched and searched)... any help on these?
4) Is there any way to change the softkey from delete to new in messaging?
5) Both the standard and Eten dialers display the last called number, but you can't actually dial it, either by pressing the green button or the talk button.
molski, can you tell me where to find this registry tweak for the GPRS??
I have been trying use the search option but couldnt find it?
what is by the way the difference between:
molski rom
underground
most beatifull
• Add a 'Disconnect' button (and Timer) to the "GPRS Balloon Tip"
To add a Disconnect button and a timer display showing how long GRPS is in use for the session:
HKLM\ControlPanel\Phone\Flags2 = 16 (DWORD decimal)
Molski Rom = WM5 AKU3.3 Crossbow Style Rom
Underground = WM6 Crossbow Rom

Okay, I have never cooked a ROM, however, I know that CHAIMD did a nice one for us to use with the 750 here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=345748
Also, in this link shows some tools and DEV tree to help do a build. It would be very nice if you or someone could start building out some highly customized and "loaded" versions of the OS.
Last, I do now know if all the updates you listed in your last note will work on the 750 (and it would be nice if they did)!
I hope this helps.

I know personally I would be thrilled if someone could port Schaps ROMs over for our Treo's they were the only ones I ever used with my Hermes
NEW ROM
Thanks for the replies, I have looked overmost of the cab files for the Hermes and Kaiser and will be started the ROm shortly. I have picked up a virtual Pocket PC and will start the process this weekend.I just have to wait for a reply from Schap....does anyone have any suggestions?
Sounds great! What kinds of suggestions?

I would love this ROM for the cdma phones. My treo 700wx needs help badly. the wm5 is a piece.
How is the Rom Cooking coming Happy2cu?

Rom: 1.62.00.00
Radio:1.27.14.09
Prot: 22.45.88.07H
My Tilt DOES NOT Freeze.
1/2 sec switch Horozontal/Vertical.
10 sec. GPS Lock.
Good volume handset and bluetooth.
Camera works great after new camera program.
I read about all the horror stories with the ?upgrade? to 6.1, in view of the above, what do I have to gain??
6.1 Upgrade
Hello Neely30188,
If you are happy with your Tilt running wm 6.0, there probably isn't a need to upgrade. Some of the main gained features of the new official ROM are
threaded IM style text messaging,
remote desktop mobile (never got it working),
HTC Home preinstalled (you can download this separately),
Microsoft Voice Command Mobile (quite good),
The Ability to remap that frustrating PTT button without editing the registry,
and after that, not much has changed. However, if you plan to use any of the HTC Class action drivers, you need some kind of 6.1 ROM, whether it be cooked or official. So unless you like to have the latest ROM, there really isn't a need to upgrade.

Okay so after installing the 1.93.422.4 ROM for AT&T, I encountered two problems.
1) Before, when I typed, the T9 would pop up with word options as I was typing. (word completion worked) Now, it no longer does it even though I have the option selected.
2) When I type the contact in a new message and then when I go to "Menu" -> "Check Names" it will insert the correct contact person, however, right after it inserts the contact into the MSM, the text message will just disappear.
In case you need this, I have the following installed on my P3702 phone from Asia. (DIAM 200)
-SPL 1.40 OliNex
-1.93.422.4 WWE -US 3G AT&T ROM + the other apps that came with the ROM like Gyrator2, Gravity Moile Music ID, SKKV Software GSen
- Diamond Sensor Scroll
- ageye Caver
- ageye G-Invaders
- Sushi's Diamond TF3D Config
- Black HTC Manilla (1.93 Rom compatible)
Everything else seems to work fine except for the T9 and messaging.
Your help is greatly appreciated
I've read several threads on this but the results still arent clear. Some say it works, but only with mic, some say it breaks GPS, some say it doesnt work on WM6.5.
My question is:
Is there any tool available to connect my Raphael WM6.5 using WIFI to a SIP provider (not skype!), and also use the buildin audio / microphone like a regular phone, without breaking any stuff?
I'm willing to pay for this software!
WM6.5 Raphael
ROM: 5.11.502.2 WWE
Rom date: 10/25/09
Radio: 1.11.25.01
Model No: HTC Touch Pro t7272
ce os 5.2.23081 build: 23081.5.3.0)
CPU: QUALCOMM(R) 7201A 528 mhz
RAM: 288MB
I've used Fring to do just that and it worked fine. There's a setting to use the regular earpeice. If it matters, the last time I installed/used Fring was a few versions of the Energy ROM ago - but it did work fine for me and didn't break anything.
you can use Audio Router application to forward the audio to your ear piece ( not the loud speaker ) or bluetooth hand free if available .
for the SIP application, you can use old SIP dialers like X-PDA, Fring or ..... . there are many sip dialers that u can find if u do the search.
Another program for transferring the audio to the earpiece is Audioswitch and you can use it with mortscript to make the process automatic when ever u run your app.
Search in the forum , there are many threats about this.
Tnx
Thunder
Thanks a lot guys! How does this work with Fring? Because after i install it i need to provide a fring username and password instead of my office sip server address and username / password..
Found the answer, there's some hidden tabs there when u use wm6.5 on raphael.
Its not very stable though Sound quality is bad even when i'm on top of my 108mbit wifi router.
