Please don't doublepost. If no one has answered they've either been sleeping like me in my time zone, or they don't know.
Place your phone in bootloader mode, by holding the camera while pressing the reset button. Then run the stock RUU from there.
sorry didnt mean to double post. even when im at the boot loader screen ot usually says that its connected by usb and right now it wont do that its wierd cause i can still charge it from the usb cord it just wont recognize my phone or something

I dont know what happened, i was flashing Duttys 2k rom onto my phone, ive flashed other roms before... but for some reason my comp turned off and it was only at 50% done for flashing. Now my phone is stuck at the tri-colored screen.
Please help.
bump.
Once again please help.
noone can help?!!?
As long as you put HardSPL on your device before you started flashing you should be able to just start the flash over.
it wont let me start the flash over, because of the fact that it says im not connected to ActiveSync
You don't need an A/S connection. Just make sure that when you plug it in it says "USB" at the bottom & you're good to go.
Did something extremely stupid......
I Flashed a GSM ROM (DUTTY's 5.2 ROM) onto a Sprint CDMA phone. STUPID! I wasnt paying attention and I dunno why I did that maybe cause i saw the features on XDA and normally I'm on PPCGEEKS but now I need Help. Is there anyways of getting a CDMA Rom back on the phone. I can still get into bootloader manually. But i Need to be able to transfer a CDMA ROM to the internal Memory. Is this possible without fully booting into Windows Mobile?
Thanks for ANY suggestions!
I'm not sure, but the difference between isn't in the OS rom, but in the radio rom.
But it should be possible to flash another rom directly from the operating system with the tool delivered with almost every rom. Enter boot loader and then connect via usb.
my comp is not recognising the internal drive
pretty sure you bricked your phone
I too did this when i first started flashing my phone because i did not know the diff between GSM and CDMA , so this is what i did to fix it
1.turn the phone on to bootloader mode(tri-colour screen) to do this power the phone on while holding the the volume down key.
then
2.plug your usb in and wait for it to say usb on the bottom of the screen,
3. now flash your phone with a stock rom
this is what i did and the phone was fixed good luck post back with your results
I did the same with my phone and I burned it. I sent it to service and they change the entire motherboard.

Windows does not recognize anything when in bootloader mode. =( New phone on the way... if someone can gimme a fix for this I will pay pal them $$$...
WOOT fixed it!!!!
Using <--, vol-down, and power-button sequence:
First Bootloader will automatically try to flash DIAMIMG.rom which is still the ROM that messes up ur phone in the first place do to user error. I went ahead and let the WRONG Rom install about half way then pulled the battery. I then turned the phone back on and to bootloader screen says " Rom Upgrade Failed, Please try again..." I then plugged in USB cable and the phone detected the USB plugged in. Then went and ran rom upgrade utility via windows.... and presto! Phone fixed. Whew... I had all my contacts, pictures of kids and video all saved on internal storage. I hope this help someone as stupid as me.
Hi,
I am sorry if there is already a similar thread, but I couldnt find it.
I have a huge problem with my German T-Mobile G1. Today I wanted to root the system. I used the instructions on XDA forum and "successfully" did the downgrading to RC7 but now I cant power on the phone. It stops at loading screen with android text and logo. Nothing happens than.
I have tried with the wipe and manual update with next version of firmware using update.zip but problem is still here. My phone is now totally unusable and I can now just hope that here on this forum can someone help me.
Please give me an advice
edit: there is one more thing: I can not power of the phone without taking the battery out. It automatically turns on every time I put battery in and every time I restart. Switch off button does not work any more.
Is the usb cable plugged in everytime you pull the battery and reinsert it? Because if it is the usb cable automatically turns on your g1. Can you access recovery +/or bootloader?
Recovery = home+power
bootloader = camera+power
If you can't get pass the g1 screen by pressing either combination of buttons you are bricked. If you are bricked () Call your carrier and tell them that you got an OTA update and it never turned on since. They should replace your g1 with a new one
I dont use USB cable. I prepared the microSD card using the USB-reader dongle. But I had pluged the electric cable so that was probably the reason for automatic turning on. Ok, now we can focus on the main problem.
Yes, I can access both recovery and bootloadaer al least. As I said, I have tried with some updating but nothing worked yet. When I use recovery some of files give me message: E: No signature. E:Verification failed.
This thing with carrier could also be a problem. I bought my phone in a shop which is buying them in another country because G1 is not officially being sold in our county. They give me a guarantee but it is guarantee from the shop and not official importer, so there would probably be some problems.
Thanks for trying to help me. I hope with this informations it would be little easier.
Place the file on your sdcard again. Down load a fresh copy of the latest hacked RC and make sure (if you're on windows) to name it "update" not update.zip because the .zip is already assumed in windows. Once its on your sdcard wipe and flash it. See if that works.
Can I use hacked RC on G1 that has not been rooted yet - just now very successfully downgraded?
do You place on sd card file "dreaimg.nbh" and turn on the phone with camera button pressed ?

Of course I did it. How would I run downgrade process otherwise...
Maybe You need RC29 version
I did try with RC29 too.
I just tried to download a cooked ROM onto my T-Mobile TP2 and I guess the actual software didnt successfully download and it stopped at 57%. I have tried the whole procedure that comes with the software but now my phone doesn't connect to my computer and its stuck on the mutli-colored screen. What do I do?!?!?!?!
Have you tried HSPL before flash the ROM ?

Name a ROM-Image file to rhodimg.nbh and place it into the root-directory of your storage card. Then switch on the phone while pressing and holding the volume down button.
The phone then goes into bootloader and flashes the image on the storage card (but this does not work with all storage cards I've heard -SanDisk shall work fine as far as I know!)
ADD: I think he flashed HardSPL, otherwise I'd wonder why the flash did go to 57%...without HardSPL the flash should not even start, or am I wrong?
buckingham, I have done that....I have actually successfully installed cooked ROMs on my phone in the past couple of days, its just that this one I am assuming wasnt finished downloading but I didnt know that and it stopped at 57%. Skycamefalling, I dont have a storage card, but thanks for the advice, I appreciate it greatly.
Hi everyone.
Ive got a MAJOR Problem here.
My Cell Phone doesnt start at all.
If i put it one the USB Cable it can Start up like 5 Seconds.
Then it Reboots and Reboots again and again by 5 Seconds.
If I Disconnect the Phone from USB screen turns Black Immediately...
I thought it could be the Batterie... but.. it worked just fine yesterday..
(have i Mentioned that this weird Sticker on it turned red..? Some kind of sign saying me it got wet?)
All this started as i got a Coloured screnn with saying ´´Serial´´ @ the bottom of the Screnn... just exact like the Flash Screen
I Flashed the Rom which is on the Internal Storage i put bevor. To bad it aint the Stock ROM!
Then i also tried Hard Reset.
But everytime i boot... i only get as far as 5 Seconds.
Is there any Chance to Flash this Baby with original ROM (Stock ROM, RADIO and SPL)
I want to send that Baby in... but if they find out i Flashed it... i wont get any Warranty... ;(
So PLEASE GIVE ME ANY ADVICES!!!!!
Try to flash with the original ROM. Go to HTC homepage-support, download the ROM and flash. It may help...

HELP
Just go into bootloader mode (you have Hard SPL installed right?) by booting up the phone while holding down the volume down key. Then connect it to the pc with the USB cable and run the CustomRUU to flash another rom. Should work! Else you should try to MTTY (that solves the resetting stuff right?).
I was just about to say to try to get Diamond into bootloader mode manually. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=405659
MTTY wont work... cause i cant boot at all
But THX for your help flashing it back to Original...
